Like a mini-crisper for berries, herbs, and small vegetables
I bought one of these, then a full set, then a second set. They work. It isn't magic, and it isn't especially complex. Basically, it is a couple of things that make these containers good for fruits and herbs. Each one has a green plastic perforated tray at the base that raises the produce above any liquid that settles on the bottom and allows for air flow. It isn't very high, and can be kind of a pain when it falls out, but it is effective. The second thing is the vent in the lid, which allows some airflow to keep the interior from getting too moist while preventing them from drying out, which would happen if they were put into the fridge uncovered. It isn't adjustable, which is probably fine. Most of the low-humidity items are too large for the containers, like apples, pears, and melons. They've engineered the vents for the higher-humidity items likely to go in them like berries, leafy greens, asparagus, and herbs. The best thing you can do to keep your produce safe other than these containers is to get them into the fridge as soon as possible after buying them. The longer they are in a warm environment, like the car ride home or your countertop, the quicker they will go bad. Washing them is a good idea for health reasons, but won't make them last longer. A product made for washing them is best, but you can also use a solution of three parts water to one part vinegar to wash them and kill some fungi and bacteria. These containers aren't magic, but they are better than the original berry containers, and far better than just loosely wrapping them in the plastic bag they came in and hoping for the best. They stack well, too, if you have enough height between shelves. I do wish they had these in their higher-priced Premier line with plastic made from super-clear Tritan instead of the standard translucent plastic. Perhaps they will do this in the future. Crunchy Greens for Two Weeks
I try to be healthy and take different salads to lunch everyday. With these, I can wash and dry my spinach and romaine, mix it together and store in the refrigerator. I pack my "mix-ins" (dressing, fruit, black beans/corn/peppers, etc) separately and throw them together at lunch time. I usually do all my washing/cutting/drying on Sunday, and I will have crunchy salad for two weeks! I've had it in there for longer, but I would say two weeks is the average amount of time your leafy greens will stay crunchy. I bought two of these, actually. One for my salad mix and one for kale to throw into my morning smoothies. I take a dry-erase marker and label the lids so I know what's in each one (they get foggy and you can't always tell). The dry-erase ink has washed off easily every time. I don't know the exact science behind how this works, but I can tell you that it DOES!

maybe I’ll have kiwi.
I was skeptical at first. What kind of witchcraft could these small plastic bin be born from that would make them somehow extend the life of our otherwise short lived produce. Well let me tell you, if it was witchcraft that produced these containers then call the Sanderson sisters and get them rolling on another batch! Down here in south eastern Virginia the produce is terrible! We couldn’t get strawberries to last for more then 3 or 4 days. They’re so much cheaper to buy in the large containers but then we had to eat them for breakfast lunch and dinner just to make sure they were gone before they started to get too soft and juicy. I was beginning to dislike strawberries. And that, ladies and gentlemen, would be a crime in and of itself. But along came these wonderful containers. They more than doubled the life of our berries allowing me to once again think to myself “eh, maybe this meal I will have kiwi.” P.S. they’re easy to clean and stack well in the fridge too.

... a plastic container but this produce saver is absolutely amazing! I read a raving review about these online ...
I've never thought I'd ever get so excited about a plastic container but this produce saver is absolutely amazing! I read a raving review about these online (can't remember where) so I looked it up and saw how high the rating was. It sounds gimmicky, like it's too good to be true, but these actually work. I'm always throwing out mesculin mix, baby spinach, and strawberries because they go bad. I decided to get two large and one medium container. Large is the right size for a big family pack amount of organic mesculin mix that's been packed down. It still stays fresh even when crammed in a bit. I went from buying every week and having it wilt/start to go bad by about half way through the week to buying every three weeks and only tossing the occasional leaf that starts to go bad. This thing already paid for itself in a month and I am tossing less food in the process. I try to avoid plastics but this is one exception that's worth making. I wash by hand to avoid the clear plastic becoming dingy and cloudy over time and after a few months they still look good as new.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE these! We buy only organic produce which does not tend to last very long and when you pay as much as we do for organic you don't want it going bad so fast. My favorite thing about these is that it keeps my lettuce crisp and fresh for weeks not days. I've been able to buy bunches of lettuce and keep them in the fridge for several weeks. I keep the second container for strawberries, asparagus, blueberries, ect. and it keeps them fresh for way longer now. Not only that but it prevents them from molding after only a few days so I'm not worried about having to eat my strawberries in two days now. Will definitely be buying more in the future. Totally worth every penny and super easy to wash and dry.

I love these so much!!!
I can not believe how much I love these containers. We originally bought one of the largest ones for lettuce. I thought no way does this do anything special, but I have to have every kitchen gadget imaginable. But believe it or not, it keeps my lettuce fresh, much longer than in a ziplock or factory packaging. I used to constantly throw lettuce away because some would spoil before I got to it. Not a problem anymore. BUT the real kicker was the rest of my veggies. I decided I wanted to keep a salad bar of sorts in the fridge, with all the veggies and toppings pre-chopped so all my family has to do is put it together and get some dressing. I thought for sure there is no way I can cut up things like cucumber and tomato and have them not get nasty (because I've tried before in regular Tupperware type containers) but amazingly enough it works. I have a chopped onion that's been in there for like 2 weeks now and it's still fine (I'm the only one that uses onion on my salad). So far all I've tested is tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions as well as regular lettuce & spinach kale. They work amazing for all of it. It is worth noting, that I do not think different types of veggies should be mixed, one time when I tried this it seems I remember being disappointed. Also, Strawberries did not fare very well, but if I remember correctly, I had them mixed in with something else and that may have been the problem.

These are legit!!
These are amazing! I actually tested how long blueberries would last on one of these when I first got them and it was 2 months!! I did have to remove a few berries once in a while due to a couple of individual berries that would go bad/mold, but they lasted so long that they would have been eaten before they went bad, but since I was testing it out, I intentionally left some in to see how long it would take. They nearly pay for themselves with the first use. Blackberries/raspberries usually last 4-5 days after purchase (max). I can get nearly 2 weeks out of them on average. I remove grapes from the stem and they last for a good month too (and I even wash them and let them dry a bit before putting them in the container even though it says not too). They might last even longer otherwise.

Must-have for food wasters
This produce box is helping me cut food waste in a serious way. Normally, my strawberries begin to wilt within 5 days but the box has kept them fresh for up to two weeks! It also kept my leafy herbs lively for nearly a month. Skeptics beware, this product may convert you.

I have two of these boxes - one for one pound of baby carrots and one for celery. These boxes keep both fresh and ready for snacking.i have a larger one for lettuce and highly recommend them.

They really work!
It works. I tested this on 4 lbs. of strawberries that I bought in perfect condition. From past history I know that if I leave these in the store container within 4 days the most they are starting to turn or even mold. I didn't open my strawberries in this container until a full week later. I was amazed at how good they looked and felt. There were 3 that I actually threw out because they were too soft. There were about another 6 that were on the soft side but I ate them as I cut up the rest. Because the rest of the strawberries were as perfect as when I bought them. The taste was great and they lasted just as long as they normally would after they were cut up. There was condensation on the outside of the container when I opened it, but this seems to be normal if you do use these.
