Excellent product, couldn't find "China" marks anywhere
Excellent product, couldn't find "China" marks anywhere. Nicely packaged and protected, the powder coating looks great, fit perfectly on my Jeep Smittybuilt Atlas and XRC bumpers. Bought 3 pairs to keep 2 extra for the recovery strap. I dab a little of "shoe goo" on the thread for vibration and theft deterrent. Much better than the Auxmart ones. Very satisfied with this purchase.

... tested to tensile strength yet these appear to be great shackles for the money
Although not tested to tensile strength yet these appear to be great shackles for the money. Precision cut threaded bar screws tight and ends up flush with the outside of the shackle, no over/under thread provides assurance that it will not undue itself when you need it most. Powder coat finish is gloss (I ordered black) and baked on very well, not worried about chipping that typically appears with PC high use items. These are heavy shackles made of full 3/4" stock, short of crane shackles these will likely do any sort of consumer towing/pulling job necessary. Packaging/shipping were excellent from the seller.

Not common junk.
Received these shackles today and I am EXTREMELY impressed. Heavy built, good looking and appear tough as he! !. So much of this kind of stuff is junk manufactured in India or China but this is not junk. Not even close. Obviously I haven't towed anything using them yet but there is no doubt in my mind that these shackles will be durable and provide long service. The size makes them very useful. The throat is wide enough to allow the shackles to be attached to the large towing points on the front of light and medium duty trucks.

awesome product-Heavy metal-nice finish- and the customer follow up was nice-Hopefully they will withstand the weather and not rust on me-I used blue locker on the threads to help deter the little thieving creeps.

Awesome!!! Great item for the Price!!!!!
I have pulled out many trucks from the mud using these and I have never had an issue. They are as aesthetically pleasing as shackles can be, and they get the job done, decreasing any hassles I run into. I would recommend these for whomever finds themselves searching for a dependable product for a great price.

Look no further
With the price of these, there honestly is no better. Read my review and many others, you will know this is the case. The people at Vault Cargo, have changed the rules on D-Shackles. "You get what you pay for" pays no mind to these shackles. I installed these last Thursday. Took my jeep offroading Friday. I was heading up a mountain on about a 45 degree incline and ended up stuck. These D- Shackles were exactly what was needed. We hooked up to another jeep and got me pulled out of the situation I was in. Took a look at the shackle, looks new out of box after use. These shackles could last one month, and for the price paid, I'd still be satisfied. And 15-25$ to save my jeep once, saved me from beating it up and maybe needing to pay a professional to get me out which would have been $100+. It's that simple. No product is perfect but I have a damn hard time finding an imperfection here. I could maybe say the paint hangs over the threaded eye whole. That's about only thing I can see making it not perfect... And it's really not a negative cuz paint is thick and solid, just a nit picked imperfection that has nothing to do with performance.

Solid item
These are a beast. Very sturdy, hefty and look good. Tested out with a another winch to pull my car and seemed to work well. Haven’t needed to test in real conditions but will post an update if it doesn’t perform. Construction looks very solid, so I’m not concerned.

Need these in your recovery kit.
I think these are a reasonably priced set of shackles that it definitely can't hurt to have extra of. There's numerous uses for them but they are best suited mounted directly to your vehicle. Many use them to connect tow straps, this will work but can be dangerous. A soft style connection is a better alternative in that scenario as a steel shackle can become a lethal projectile under line tension if the line snaps. But if used safely these are very handy!

Pleased with my purchase and would buy them again
This item is perfect for my needs and sold at a fair price with on time delivery. I chose these powder coat finish shackles over galvanized ones because for my primary use of using them with a nylon recovery strap I think the smoother powder coat finish will create less wear on the recovery strap.
