My electric kettle just broke on me so my friend recommended chefman instant hot water pot. I had this hot pot for almost 2 weeks. My family is a big great tea family. It only take about 10 mins to boil the full pot and keep hot all day long which is very convenient for us to make tea and refill tea. It is bigger than I expected and nice weight . Very easy to use and the wide lid makes easy to clean. It looks very well made and good quality. For the price I paid I am very happy with it. And before I bought I was reading a lot of the reviews saying that how good warranty that chefman offer. I will definitely recommend this pot.

So far, this is the third water boiler I've used at my business. I thought since this was a bit on the cheaper side that it wouldn't be as good and not last as long. So far, I've not into any problems and it works great. It auto warms and heats water as needed, it has 3 different ways to get water out of the machine and its not too big so fits into a smaller space. I will update the review as needed if it breaks down or anything like that but so far it's a great find.

This unit is thevWorkhorse of my kitchen. Not only do I use it for hot tea and hot water to steam veggies quickly, I also use it for counter wipes, hot eye compressed, quick face clean/facial, quick rinse of my smoothie glasses before the hit the dishwasher, cleaning eyeglasses and sunglasses. Quick hot water to pull sugars out after a cup spill cleanup. Awesome purchase. I had a smaller volume vacuum unit before, and the added volume here along with the vacuum or electric button was worth the investment.

Replaced a series of three Zojurushi's. Tired of replacing Zojurushi's, but may be breaking from mineral deposits. The Chefman is: Much less expensive than others. Very large volume (>5 liters). Seems well built (e.g. stainless water vessel). Simple controls. Dispenses water faster than others. This unit does not have a safety (lock+dispense buttons), but I don't need one, and this allows simpler use. We'll see if it lasts. If it does, it is a great bargain.

UPDATED REVIEW: My Initial one was a disaster (see below). The company was very nice and sent me a replacement unit free of charge. This unit works perfectly. It keeps the water hot and as with both units, it dispenses water through the pump, or with the push of the electrical button. I Like this option very much, which is why I purchased it initially. This new unit does Not Reboil Frequently. It does make some very quiet cooking sound, here and there but it is quiet and does not Reboil frequently. Reading Other peoples reviews it seems that some units have an issue with the internal button thermostat that tells the unit when to stop boiling. If yours is defective, the unit will reboil too frequently, or worse, will keep boiling all of the water out of the top back seal, thereby damaging whatever is above it. My Advise is to get this unit, because when it works, its awesome, and priced well. But if you buy one and yours Reboils every hour or so, Do Not Keep it, return it immediately as what happened to me below, will happen to you. My New Unit, is in all respects, Great! My Prior Review: Does Not Work Well Here are Problems that I have Had: Problem 1 - The Unit Keeps Boiling and Reboiling Very Frequently, Much More than other type units. Problem 2- The Rear Vent Doesn't Properly Seal and has damaged my Cabinets with Steam. Problem 3 - The Water will at Times, Just Boil Out because the seal on the top back lets steam out.

I got a deal on this from Amazon Warehouse - when I got it the water tank just had a chemically smell - prob from production. Just dumped the water and then re-boiled and the smell went away. Has been working like a champ!!! My household used to have the electric kettle that we would boil water at least 6 times a day for tea, pour over, or soups. This has made is so convenient! It does have a option to re-boil if it is not hot enough and even a sensor under the spout so you can hands-free pour - however I quite like the control of the button on top. The black finish does collect some dust so just heads up - microfiber because it is plastic! Overall a great gadget!

we've had the worst luck with hot water urns in the past. I've searched high and low and this has been the overall best product we've gotten! the water takes a short amount of time to boil, it keeps warm, holds a lot of water and has a lock feature which is great so if my kids get their hands on it, it wont burn them. it has a pump option in the back which is great for Shabbat. the stainless steel doesn't leave a bad taste in the water and i don't see a lot of residue on the bottom of the urn as i have in other ones in the past.

When I got my first hot water cooker, I went through 4 cookers in 1.5 years before I got to my first Chefman. All the other companies would just break on me after the first few months. When I got my first Chefman Hot Water Cooker I figured it would be the same issue, 5 years later I am still using that same hot water cooker. When it came time and I needed to purchase a second hot water cooker, I had no doubt that I would be buying a Chefman due to the excellent quality and condition of the first one. The new Hot Water Cooker is even nicer then the older version, with the sleak designs and swivel feature. I am very happy with this item and when anyone tells me they need a hot water cooker I always recommend the Chefman one. I have many Chefman products and love all of them.

A quick review for people looking for a faster hot water solution other than a tea kettle or microwave: * We recently renovated the kitchen, and had an instant hot/cold filtered water tap installed * Then we moved I purchased this to replace the convenience of that tap, and if you are in a space that you can't modify, this is a great solution. * Form: The interior is stainless steel, while the exterior and handle are plastic. The cord is about 4', long enough to go behind the oven to the next nearest outlet. The height leaves about 4 or 5 inches clearance beneath the cabinets, which is a near perfect fit. * Function: There's a dispense button (powered) and also a large push lever to dispense while unplugged; the top has a simple turn lock to keep it from being pushed accidentally. It heats water quickly and the water it dispenses is always hot without being scalding (one of these days I'll get the temperature it dispenses at). 5.3L is enough for two people who drink a lot of coffee and tea for 3 or 4 days before it needs refilled. * Verdict: It gets constant every day use, it's sturdy, it intelligently designed, it works well. If you're looking for something along these lines, this is a great choice.

For the price ($49.99), this electric hot pot offers an excellent value. My previous hot pot was a Tiger--which was great, but after awhile I was unable to remove the hard water deposits even with vinegar. My old Tiger did not have a stainless steel inside. But the Chefman is stainless steel in the inside where the hot water touches it. It is stainless steel in the inner lid where it comes in contact with water. But, it is plastic around the lid and top part of the pot that does not come in contact with the hot water. This hot pot is 5.3 liters and towers over all my other appliances. My previous hot pot was a Tiger 3 L and I actually prefer the smaller size. But this is not the fault of the appliance itself. Just keep that in mind before buying. This hot pot is much cheaper than the Tiger and I in particular got it for a great price. There is just one keep warm setting (my old Tiger had 3 temperatures) but it does have a reboil feature. On the keep warm setting, the water is on the warm to mildly hot side. However, after you hit the reboil button, the water is scalding hot. Overall, I like it. It serves its purpose, but it is too tall. I would give it 4 1/2 stars, but I am rounding up.
