Not sure why the review asked for picture quality... That's based on your phone.... Easy to use, just make sure your phone is the right size. Works great with their puzzle games or with Google Expeditions.

Great inexpensive intro to VR

First off, I am amazed to see so many people saying that the View Master VR "doesn't work". I got mine to work in around five minutes. I'll admit there was some confusion at first because the instructions aren't as clear as they should be. I find it hard to believe though that a company like Mattel would make a product that doesn't work half the time. Anyway, this device delivers a fully immersive 3D VR experience. You can definitely get lost in the experience to the point that you kind of forget about anything else. Sometimes with the space app I'll just stare at the stars for a while. Very relaxing. There are also mini-games. They are quite simple but this device is targeted more towards kids. Cons: There is no head-strap so you have to hold the headset while using it. However, you can go to any drugstore and buy a sleep mask with a head-strap for a couple bucks. Scissors and duct tape, now you have a head-strap. Also, it's not HD quality, but anyone expecting HD quality from a $25 product should try have more realistic expectations. Anyone buying this should realize that it is mainly targeted towards kids. Adults can definitely still have fun with this but don't expect it to be on par with the Oculus Rift or PS4 headsets I think this product is a very good "intro" virtual reality and augmented reality.. We thought about buying a high-end headset but decided not to because we figured it would get boring after an hour. After having a lot of fun we this one, we decided a high-end VR headset was worth the price.

electronic version of viewmaster 3d reels

This is like a computer version of the old 3D view master (photographic) reels. You put your iPhone (or android) phone into the viewer, install the app, and you can explore 3d worlds like wildlife or space exploration. Plus, if you point the viewer at a special augmented reality reel, you can see bonus hologram-like content.

It looks like a 21st Century model!

It arrived intact, but it is wrapped and under the tree. I am so looking forward to giving it to my grandson for Christmas!

Ive collected a few headsets trying to find a proper vr experience. This is the first one that works great (Nexus 6p) has great focus settings, proper button, and comfy on face. The only crappy thing is no strap. Even having to hold it, it is scores above all others tried.

Just buy 'em!

For the money, these are excellent. Worked superb with both iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 6s.
