I received this in the middle of December. I live in Northwest Montana, so I have only been able to use it in ice fishing mode. With that said I love this thing. I can't wait to use it this summer. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I really like the Deeper with the Flexible Arm for my kayak. I have only used it twice, but I am happy to finally see fish arcs. It seems acurate and reliable for depth and water tempurature. Would reccommend for any entry level kayak fishing with this product. NOTE: use it sparingly, it does run out of battery power for your phone and the device rather quickly.

Whether its ice fishing or kayaking the deeper is perfect if you dont want to lug around a flasher or larger unit. The price point is good also when looking for portable units. It eats your phone battery up especially int the winter but all u need to do is get a 5000+ external battery.

My past experiences with ice fishing pretty much consisted of drilling a hole and hoping there were fish. This little gizmo has changed the way I fish. It's way easier to transport that a conventional fish finder, the interface on the phone is easy to read and use, and most importantly it finds fish. I would recommend this to anyone and several of my friends have told me that they are going to be getting one

Used it for ice fishing, works great! Can't wait to try it open water soon. Get a phone charger of some sort! UPDATE: Works awesome all year. Definitely good in less than -4°F temps. No interference with Vexilars, even 2 feet away. I also found it helpful to bring a portable battery bank for recharging phone and ball. I use it in summer by dragging behind a R/C boat. Can find the exact spot of the crib/drop off/weed edge and drop my bobber exactly on the spot. In the photo it's a little difficult to see but there are 2 straws to keep the musky line from getting tangled in the prop.

my husband has the best time fishing with this!

Haven't caught a fish while using it but I love the ability to map a lakebed and see what I'm working with. Also, despite what's said with a little work in was able to make it in on my kindle fire tablet. Much better battery life and bigger screen than my phone

Excellent Customer Service. I purchased the unit and used it one time and it worked fantastic. I was very pleased with its performance through the ice. It gave similar readings to a Vexlar unit in the hole next to mine. I did have an issue with the unit and recharging after the first use. Deeper's Customer service team responded via email the following day with instructions to get a replacement, and even followed up after that to make sure I was pleased.

Used the Deeper Pro ice fishing next to my buddy who was using a Vexilar flasher. Holes were about 4 feet apart in the ice house. Got some interference from the Vexilar transducer but not bad, the Deeper Pro still worked fine. In ice fishing mode, the Deeper Pro worked at least as well as the Vexilar and looked cleaner. Saw fish coming in on the Deeper Pro that never showed up on the Vexilar. Cool feature is the recording option. Nice to be able to look back to see what happened. Battery ran continuously for 4.5 hours and was still at 38%. My phone didn’t last that long - I has a small cell phone battery pack with me, so not a problem (highly recommended). Overall, a very cool product. A fraction of the size of the sensor, much less space in the ice house and much easier to use than the Vexliar.

Great device. Worked well in windy canal conditions - choppy water didn't bother it much. Don't follow the 12lb+35lb leader, casting line - your knot will fatigue and you will swim after the deeper pro. Your friends will be able to see the shark that got you as you retrieved it. Cannot fault the device yet.
