THIS IS WONDERFUL!
At first, I was not sure if I would like this product, because It was hard to get used to when it came to putting it on the spindle to blend, and locking the lid, it was hard to manipulate and very stiff. After using it and getting used to how it all fits together, I love it! LOVE IT. I can make my babies food a week in advance and freeze it, and then defrost using the defrost setting. You have to plan ahead, and defrost at least 1/2 hour before feeding time to let the food cool off. Also I mix a little rice cereal in the food to make it thicker because it tends to get a bit runny after defrosting. It is worth the money, It saves us a ton of money, and we buy frozen, non salted, and fresh food to put in the steamer. All works well! I like to know what Is in my little guys food! GREAT PRODUCT!

done the basic way, thumb up to beaba babycook
I did the most basic way with my first child using steamer and blender. For my second one, I try Beaba Babycook =p And no regrets!!! This is way more convenience and faster! not to mention, FRESHLY MADE!!! I just need to give 5 minutes work to prep and clean. and the rest 15 minutes is just waiting the food to be cooked. So I now "cook" twice a day for breakfast and dinner with ease =) I can see the difference in taste too. The liquid that comes out from the food are used, when pureeing, so using Beaba Babycook enhances the food taste. Yes you can use the liquid that was coming out in the steamer too. However, it is hard to measure how much water I should put to steam the whole batch of food. More often, I put a lot of water because I worried for burning the pan. So the liquid ended up not as concentrated as the one in the Beaba Babycook. *Thanks for reading my review, hopefully you can find it useful. I apologize for any grammatical errors - ESL =p *

Love this little machine
Love this little machine! I'm a mom and work full time so there is not much extra time for anything, this was easy to use and my daughter got all home made baby food. She is now 2 and I still use this at least once a week to steam vegetables for her to eat. You pour the amount of water need, you throw the vegetables or fruits in and you turn the nob and it's done. The machine does everything for you, you come back when the light turns off and you either have steamed fruits/vegetables or you can throw it back in the machine and puree. Clean up is pretty easy too because there aren't too many complicated pieces. I did read a lot of reviews prior to purchase and I was concern with some issues people were having, but sometimes you might get an item that's just not put together correctly, but I think that could happen with any product. What I love about this product is that it's easy to use, it's not complicated and it makes it easy for a mom or dad or grandma to make home made food for their babies.

Wonderful Babyfood Maker
This is a great product. So far, since receiving it, I have used this babyfood maker to make my fresh daughter sweet potato, butternut squash, yellow squash, cauliflower, strawberrie/banana, & poi. the basket holds a good amount of vegetables/fruit (more than enough for one feeding), the steaming & pureeing process is very simple:add the spedicifed amount of water (a booklet & recipe booklet is included), the blade is very sharp and creates beautiful pureed food. My daughter has loved everything I have made using this thus far. Clean up is easy, storage is easy. My only complaint is that the cover seems kinda loose. There is a latch thing that slides and is supposed to ensure a close and tight fit, but there I find myself holding the cover down just to ensure that the food/water doesn't come out the top. otherwise, very good product - I enjoy using it and feel it is worth the cost.

You need and want it - do your family a favor and get it!
I dreamed of the Beaba Babycook since before I was pregnant with my first child. But it was so expensive! So I waited, and we did jarred organic, and I tried to make some things on my own in my blender.... Not very often. It was a mess, and so many steps, and the textures weren't well received by my bebe... As I started the ol' jarred organic babyfood with my second child I just didn't feel good about it. I splurged and got this. It was heavenly. Meals were fresh and baby loved them! It got the whole family eating healthier because well if you're dicing up squash for the Beaba cook - why not eat some yourself?!... Etc. The best things are the ease of use - steaming may not be that difficult but my culinary skills are lacking so I truly appreciated the help here. Also, easy cleanup. I am so thrilled that I got the Beaba Babycook. It's a lot of money, it is, but I truly feel it quickly pays for itself in how often you'll be using it. You could even sell it to a friend after use, it will still seem brand new!

Super Easy and Convenient Babyfood Maker
I had experience with this product previously and knew hands-down that this was what I wanted when it came time to purchase. It couldn't be easier to use and is so convenient - just prep and turn on. No waiting around tending to a boiling pot of water and cleanup is so easy. I've read some reviews that mention the size/capacity. I tend to make fresh babyfood to go right into the fridge so I am not interested in a large-capacity food maker. However, the times when I did need to stock baby food in the freezer it was so quick to make a few batches. Another reason I like this baby food maker is the size of the appliance. I wanted something I could throw in my suitcase so we can have fresh baby food when traveling. I recommend this product for parents with limited time who want to make homemade baby food. This appliance works great using frozen veggies if you're in a real time crunch!

Can't imagine making baby food without it
I LOVE my Beaba Babycooker. I realize that you could pull out your pot and steam the veggies, then dump them in your large food processor or blender, but this is the way to go. It's very small so it takes up barely any counter space. Cleaning it is much easier than if I were to wash a pot steamer and food processor. My baby 6 months old and I have made countless meals with it already. I never plan on purchasing baby food and because of that I could not imagine making her food any other way. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is interested in making their children's food from scratch. The ease of use and joy I get out of feeding her fresh food far outweigh the cost (which isn't too steep to begin with). Also in response to the negative comments I have read: I use purified water from a zero water pitcher in the well and over 2 months of constant use there isn't any type of build-up from hard water minerals or anything. I recommend using filtered or bottled water plus it's probably better for your child anyway. Many think you can't cook enough food. I like giving my baby fresh food and you can pack enough veggies to yield the equivalent to probably 6 baby food jars at a time. I don't freeze any food, but if I did it makes more than enough to. It's also so handy that it's easy for me to make a vegetable, clean it quickly, and follow it up with a fruit, etc. Cooking & cleaning are so fast that it's incredibly efficient. I know I sound like I probably work for Beaba, but I truly love mine and I really think opting for pots & pans followed by a food mill or hand mixer is a huge mistake.

Great for busy moms!
I made my own baby food for my first child, I would spend a whole day every few weeks cooking and pureeing foods in large batches to freeze but with my second I just didn't have the time, so I decided to get a Beaba to make it easier, and boy did it do that! It does take a little prep work and I have to remember to do it before I start our dinner so it's cooled before we all sit down but it is so much easier than when I did large batches, my blender never got it fine enough, it was kinda chunky and took a lot of work to use separate pots to boil and steam and then the blender, there were a lot more things to wash. The Beaba is so easy to use and clean, I highly recommend it for other busy mothers, I wish I had it for my first child! And I am finding ways to use it for my preschooler too, I add some of the pureed or steamed veggies to her food since it is hard to get vegetables in her, so I will be using this for a long time, well worth the money!

very usefull from 6 months onwards
we are french and have always been using Beaba products, they are sturdy and most of them smart. I had this babycook for 2 months now and i use it twice a day. i had the Solo model before (i beleive it is called Pro in the USA) and I definitely prefer this one. It is very easy to use, very handy, the round edges are pleasant and it is very compact. the portions sizes are the same as the Babycook Pro but the container is larger and shorter which a like. I like the fact that the lid participates in the closing of the pot, so that you can wash it afterwards as opposed to the Pro whose lid is fixed- hard to clean. It doesn't make a beep sound when the cooking is over but hardly anyone needs it, the lights goes off so you know it has finished, It is easy not to forget though when a hungry little man is screaming for food. the plastic basket gets yellowish very quickly but all the models are like that, have to clean it well every time or just put it in the dishwasher. all in all, very useful for preparing homemade food, quick and clean, it cooks everything, meats, fish, all veggies, pasta, rice (you need the pasta basket, sold separately). I have the bag for it as well so it is easy to transport when we travel. all my mommy-friends are using it.

Very user-friendly!
I tried out two baby-food makers: the Beaba and the Baby Bullet. I really liked the Beaba because it's a nice design, and a small size that doesn't occupy much space. But what really makes it stand out is that it is also a steamer. Since you have to steam all the fruits and veggies before pureeing them for baby food, it's a total space saver as this one appliance does both things. The Baby Bullet has a steamer that you buy separately, but it is super messy as all the water drips when you open it. And having two separate appliances isn't as practical. The Beaba is easy to clean and store. I've used it a few times to steam and puree things for our own dinners. Even though the Baby Bullet comes with cute food storage accessories, they aren't very practical.
