I fully recommend Anker products and have no doubt you will be pleased. I've purchased Anker chargers before. My hobby is cycling, so having a backup battery is important for things like the iPhone, Gps bike computer, bike lights, etc. I keep an anker in my under seat bike bag, it's come in handy more than once. So when my daughter took up hiking, I got her one as a present. She told me she had a problem with it, so I mentioned that in my review. I never bothered complaining to Anker. But within a day they emailed me in support of their product. They quickly addressed my issue well beyond my expectations. We have a perfectly working Anker battery, it charges all of our products including Apple Iphone. Anker has proven themselves an Excellent company! Thank You Anker, you've earned my loyalty. I do fully recommend this with no doubt you will be pleased. I've been a Prime buyer since 2002. So - in 17 Years, I've never seen a company with more positive customer service.

I bought this same Anker charger while I was very sick and having many hospitalizations. One of them came completely as a surprise - I went in for a doctor's appt. but didn't realize I already had a fever, so therefore an infection. I had a very small portable charger then, and over the days I was in the hospital completely lost the charge in my phone. That may sound like a small thing - but when you're in the hospital, isolated from your family and friends - it's a VERY BIG DEAL. From that time on, I first found this sizable & fast charger and always carried it with me! Yeah, I had to buy the right size purse for it, too. I came to rely on this charger a lot and it served me well. But one day, I believe I lost it from my pocket where it was hooked up to my phone. I was riding a bus, so I never found it again. There was NO question I'd buy an Anker again. It charges fast (faster than my wall charger!) and charges probably 2-1/2 times per charged-up charger (does that make sense?). BTW, Anker cables are the best also. I just wish it had come with a lightning cable to hook up to my phone.

After all the fires here in California, I decided to get serious about creating a "disaster" kit. I did some research and read reviews and decided this was the product to order. I'm glad I did. It works well with my older iPhone 5s, fully charging it in about 3 hours with my original iPhone cable. I get about 3 charges for my iPhone from the battery. I don't yet know how long the battery holds a charge, but I've set an alert to check every 2 months to keep it ready to go in my disaster kit. It's a little on the heavy side to carry for daily use, but it would be doable for someone who really drains their phone. The pouch is great for keeping the battery and accompanying USB cord. There's enough room to keep my iPhone cord in the pouch too (iPhone owners must use their own cord as the cord that comes with the product fits only Android phones). The battery is easy to use, with 3 lights to indicate the charge level. I've already bought another one as a gift and will be purchasing more. Great price for a well-made product.

It so cute and very portable. Comes with its own carrying case & USB cord. Tried it for a month before I wrote review & its still working. Charges quickly for my galaxy s7 phone. The 3 LED lights works & when its done charging, the LED lights turn off. And reading some of the questions asked about product is that personally, I don't receive "freebies" from amazon. This product really work & my reviews are based on my own use, not what other reviewers say. Hope my review was of help.

I received the Anker PowerCore 5000 as a gift from Anker.com last November. It finally arrived at the end of January! Even though it was a long wait (they warned us it could take some time to arrive since they were out of stock at the time), it was well worth the wait. From the first day, I had a use it for. Now I use it several times a week when I can't get to wall charger. Even though its plastic its built to last. Its heavy enough that feels good in your hands and isn’t going to fall apart if you squeeze to hard. Because of its size, I carry it almost everywhere I go. It normally stays in the car or in a bag when its not needed. As to charging time, it charges my LG G4 from 20% to 100% in about an hour. If I’m not using the phone I can get two charges out of it. If I’m using my phone, then I can run the charge out in about 2 hours and get to about 50% charge. To know how much charge you have left, check the LED lights on the side. As the charger runs out of power, the lights turn off. When its charging my devices the charger doesn’t get to hot or cause a lot of heat on the battery of my phone. Don’t get me wrong, they do warm up but not enough to cause damage to my devices or cause a burn. To know when your PowerCore is fully charged, the LED lights on the side will be fully lit up. When it runs out of power I use the supplied micro-USB cable and plug it into my Anker USB Charging Hub and a few hours later its charged up. Honestly, I’ve never timed the charge time. I normally forget about it and stays plugged in over night and I grab it on the way out the door. I love this little charger. I use it more than any other small portable charge I own. I love it so much, that I plan on buying one for my wife and may buy a couple of these for family member

I currently have a few battery packs from Anker, but they are 10,000 mah and bigger. My problem with them is that they were always too bulky and didn't fit well in my pocket with my phone. I love the PowerCore 5000 as it can fit in my pocket next to my phone, but still provides plenty of power. This has been especially helpful during my recent travels and with Pokemon Go which murders my phone's battery. I can easily make it through the day while watching hours of video while traveling. I have drained and charged this pack over 25 times and it has been flawless every time I need it. The battery has a 2 amp output which will charge most devices at full speed. Charging is limited to 1 amp and takes about 4 hours to fully charge. I would love to see Quickcharge 2.0 on this pack, but I'm sure that would only just raise the price. For the cost, this pack is a no brainer.

Anker makes some of the best charging/storage devices available and this is no exception. Plenty of power to allow me to use my cell phone for several 2-3 hour conference calls I had to attend on my cell phone while on a trip this past year. Another reason I am partial to the Anker backup over a couple of their competitors is that it does not have a power button that is easily triggered, leaving the device on all day, draining it when you most need it! Anker also makes a smaller version PowerCore that will recharge your cell phone 1.5-2 times and may be adequate depending on your needs.

If you often find yourself in situations where your phone battery dies during the worse times, or often on-the-go and do not have the time to sit beside an outlet waiting for your phone to charge, product may be for you. Because of this product’s portability, you can charge your phone anywhere without having to wait around. Such as, if you were at an outdoor location like an amusement parks, state fairgrounds, or if you go off hiking or camping. Design Description Along with this product includes a micro-USB cable (used for charging this product) and a travel pouch. The design is sleek, simple, and easy to understand. It is a tube-like structure, and may be stored either standing upright or within the travel pouch. On the side of the product contains 3 LED lights, which light up when you are using or charging this product. The size is smaller than a 12-fl. oz. Sprite can. It is light, making this product convenient to carry since it does not add any significant weight if you’re planning on walking around a lot. And is hardly noticeable when packing it in your purse, pocket, or backpack pouch. Charging Ability If you ever need to check how full this product is, there is a button next to the 3 lights you may push. It will indicate battery power, then turn itself off. The lights indicate how much battery is charged up when lit. 3 lights indicate full battery. While 1 bright light will indicate low battery. The charging ability is quite fast; I have an Iphone6 and brought it from low battery to full charge within few hours. Durability Overall, it is well put together. There are not any loose pieces surrounding the product which is helpful if you are carrying this product in a bag or pocket. It can handle being tightly or loosely packed with other belongings without worry of it falling apart for any reason. Since this is an electronic battery, it does have the ability to break if it is handled recklessly, and is not water resistant. However, under normal circumstances, occasional clumsiness or accidental splashes of water are not likely to cause any major damages to this product. Through my personal experience, as a person always on the go (and on the phone), I have been satisfied with this product through its efficiency and making charging my phone more convenient when I’m on the go.

I have a ton of battery packs. Some are huge and can charge devices for days. This one is right in the middle. Its not too big, its not too small. So basically you get the battery, a carry bag and a micro usb cable The battery provides 5000 mAh of power. (Hence the name) and should be enough for two full phone charges. Size is about 4" tall and and 1-1/4" wide wide. It has Ankers well regarded PowerIQ technology for fast charging. It has one USB output port and one micro usb input port. You charge it up and it charges your stuff. This isn't rocket science. Look, its an Anker battery. We all know they make good batteries, chargers etc. This is no exception. It has an 18 month warranty. I use it for charging up my vape mod box and an iphone6s+ So far it hasn't let me down. (being a former hvac tech, this thing reminds me of a hard start capacitor as far as size and feel. It has no relevant meaning to anyone but me and maybe other hvac folks but i'd just drop it in here..lol) Here are some pics to show size and scale etc.. Anker PowerCore 5000 Portable Charger, Ultra-Compact External Battery with Fast-Charging Technology, Power Bank for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy and more

In hind sight I would not get black on these as another color-almost any other color could be found more easily in a bag. I found these to be a lifesaver when I am feeling "trapped" somewhere and have no access to an outlet or electricity. I have found that if I fully charge it then it will fully charge my phone or ipad once. Sometimes it has had a little more after that too, when it was new.
