Great manufacture customer support

This grommet hand press is easy to operate and change out the dies. I did have an issue with the #0 die and contacted the manufacture on it which they replaced free of charge and all they asked for was a picture of the problem I had. I use a small sectioned off plastic container which I'm able to store all the grommets, dies and tool. The press is mounted to a tray which has rollers on it. It is well built and should last a very long time.

Works great for what I have to do with it. I was using a hammer and die previously and would mess up on them occasionally. This gets it right every time! It doesn't cut through the fabric, but works good when I get the fabric and put the grommet through by hand.

Very versatle, easy to use

Quality tool.

This is a quality tool. The fit and finish are very good and alignment of the dies are perfect, unlike a similar tool I recently purchased. This unit will punch the hole through the material and set the grommet in one stroke. The dies are designed upside down of most others I see for sale. I was very slightly disappointed that they didn't sell dies for size #1 but I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that dies from other presses fit in this unit by lifting out the lower spacer. I now have purchased multiple dies of different sizes that fit this press. The upper shaft has the standard internal 8mm thread and the lower spacer has a 12 mm hole but when you remove that you have a 19 mm hole which seems to be the standard for available dies online. Pros of the dies that come with this set are that they can do the job in one stroke. Also, the dies are built to stop themselves at a perfect spot so no stop is needed. Cons are that they must have a grommet installed to punch the hole but some materials slightly affect the perfection of roll over. If the material you are using does this, punch part way and remove the plug, then finish the set you get a smoother roll over of the grommet. Available dies from other units need to have the hole punched first but most of them can punch the hole without a grommet installed, after which you install the grommet in that hole. Be aware that grommets come in several sizing systems. Gauge #0,1,2,4 etc but also in metric (mm) and fractional (1/4", 5/16" etc). Some are close enough to work with each other but some are not. If you are satisfied with the sizes that come with this unit, you are "set". Buy this unit, you will like it!
