Pleasantly Surprised at Quality!

I was surprised to enjoy this little lens so much. I was even able to take some nice shots of my Macaw in flight from around 50-60ish ft away. Love love love. So worth the money to keep this little "Nifty Fifty" on hand.

I'm kind of in love with this r

This is the first non-kit lens I've purchased for my Canon Rebel T5 and I'm delighted by it. Shoots well in low light, compensates well in higher light, and has a lovely bokeh effect for portraits. I can't really speak to the durability of it, as I just purchased it a few weeks ago, though I hear others say is has great durability. I'll give it a few months then post an update. I live in a very dusty area, so if it will survive through this, it's a champ.

Excellent, Fast Lens

This new lens is already making me very happy. Fast Fast, this attached photo of my beagle Niblet was taken with 60 Watt bulb for light, no flash. late at night.

Love and recommend

I think this is so much fun! I get crisper photos with this than with my kit lens. Packs easily, fits right on, and there wasn't much of a learning curve. This is my first fixed lens. It's affordable, and I've recommended it to two friends already! I love the kit, too. I always leave the UV filter and the CPL filter on, and my colors are rich and bold. I read the filters affect the sharpness of the photos, but that hasn't been my experience with these. Here are a few pictures. One of my dog, and one with and without the filters.

Simply put I'm beyond impressed, this is a must-have as stated before I will buy another as a back up. Shoots fantastic from photo shoots to low light situations. Canon lens are first rate, you won't regret this purchase.

Great lens for the price!

If your wanting to get some better portrait shots without breaking the bank this is a great lens to try out especially after watching comparison videos with faster much more expensive lenses on YouTube.
