My original review: Not a very good product after two months the numbers for the seconds faded out, tried replacing battery but nothing chagned. Will not be buy Harbor products again - gave the product 2 stars. After I wrote the above product review, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an e-mail from Amazon Market place – and even though it’s been months since I bought the timer – it was replaced with a new one. I must say 5 stars for customer service – and the timer is working perfectly. I still cannot believe the attention to customer service. The replacement timer gets 5 stars – Thank you again for you follow up and concern.

The first timer that I bought experienced a display failure. That can happen with any product, particularly electronics. I posted a product review and noted the failure and my disappointment as I liked the timer very much. I considered the issue to be done. It wasn't. After reading my brief review simply stating the failure, the seller contacted me and promptly replaced the defective timer. The level of customer service was extraordinary for such a low-cost item. It's the level of care that one expects when buying a luxury product. In this case, the product cost may be modest, but the value is high thanks to a clean and easy to use product and exceptional customer support. What's to like about this product? It's easy to set, has large clearly marked buttons, the large display is easy to read at a reasonable distance and the alarm sound is loud enough to compete with all types of kitchen noise and ever-present music.

This is probably the best of the three timers I ordered from Amazon. It has a strong stable magnet, supports hours, minutes, and seconds for long bakes and such, has clearly marked buttons with audible feedback, a loud alarm, and is reasonably easy to set, The only minuses are that it doesn't retain the last setting for repeating intervals, or provide direct entry meaning that setting a timer for 40 minutes or 45 seconds can be mildly annoying. There's also a clock mode, but as a result the timer is always on. Update: The timer will recall the last interval if you hit "ST/SP" and then "CLEAR" when it goes off.

Edited To Add: Amazing customer service from this company. I didn’t even reach out to them, they contacted me, replaced the item and they were super professional and polite about it. The replacement seems to work perfectly as described. If anything changes, I will update here, but here’s a new pic of the replacement working perfectly. Upon arrival we took the habor digital timer out of the package it arrived in and put brand new batteries into it.The screen flickered, glitched and random pieces of numbers showed up on the screen. Did trouble shooting, powered off and back on, changed the batteries to a different set of new batteries, the timer never worked at all, just flashed and glitched.

Great classroom timer. Nice audible beeps (it does beep while pushing every minute/second button however if u want say 5 minutes u can hold down the minute button and it will advance silently after the initial beep). I love that u can set min/sec/hour individually. It also has a count up timer for "beating your time". The magnet on the back is plenty large and strong. I love the large display. No more squinting from across the classroom.

This timer is GREAT. Worth every penny I paid for it. It comes well packaged, so it would make a good gift, the LCD screen is very large, it counts down and up, the timer is loud without being obnoxious, and it functions as a clock when not in use as a timer.

I ordered this kitchen timer because it stated the alarm is loud. It certainly is loud! Other alarms either lost their sound or died on me. Even the wind up ones die over time. I like that it has battery operation because I have lots of rechargeable batteries. The sound has to be loud enough to hear in the back of my house. My house is rather large and I used to burn a few cookies because I didn't hear the timer I had. I forget to carry it around with me and thought the loud one would be my best bet. My husband complains that it is WAY too loud, but he isn't the cook, so all he has to do is block his ears, run to turn it off, or just go in the garage and play with his toys and leave me alone! After ruining some meals with burned food he should understand the importance of this timer! For those who don't read instructions, there is a certain way to set the time of day as well so don't confuse it with the timer setting. Read the manual before you think clearing it is confusing.

It's been a while since I bought a kitchen timer, so I was surprised to learn that not all timers allow you to set increments in Hours (many stop at 59 minutes, 59 seconds). I routinely need to set an alarm for an hour plus, so this timer works for me. It has a good strong magnet, uses a "normal" AAA battery (no button batteries), and also has a stand if you're so inclined. The alarm is loud enough to be heard on all three floors of my split level house. It's not as sturdily built as my old KitchenAid timer, but it works well for the price.

It arrived promptly and was well packaged. The instructions in the booklet provided were easy to follow. The magnet on the back is strong. I prefer using the foldout stand to let it rest on the table or counter. The stand feature is especially helpful since I am using this for dance practice, work out segments, and writing exercises. Small enough to take with me on the go, yet large enough to see from a distance. The numbers are the about an inch tall. A AAA battery is required. I was a little too forceful when I inserted the battery, so one of the teeth on the edge of the battery cover broke off (but did not interfere with function/performance). The beeping is loud, so if someone may hear the timer ring if they are in the next room (this is great when I cook).

This is the 2nd timer I've tried only to break within a year. The display is going out on this in areas which prevents one from seeing the correct time. Personally speaking, I think this is a cheap timer and not worth spending the money on. IMPORTANT UPDATE: After submitting this review, I was surprised (and delighted) to receive an email from Harbor, (maker of this timer). After reading my earlier review, Harbor took the initiative to contact me and tell me that they were sending a replacement. Their quick response revealed that they value customers, stand behind their product and strive to provide good customer service. Because I needed a timer asap, I immediately ordered a different timer, therefore, when Harbor contacted me I had already purchased a replacement of a different brand. As it turned out, I ended up with two timers which gave me the chance to test each brand. Turned out that there was no comparison and Harbor won hands down. Harbor digital timers are considerably easier to operate for people that have rheumatoid arthritis. Harbor's timer is easy to manage without having to exert physical effort to push the buttons which the other brand required. Another nice feature Harbor timer provides is the ability to count up after it finishes timing. Counting up enables the operator to keep track of how long time has passed since the timer sounded -- a feature that comes in handy when cooking food such as rice that requires additional sitting before serving. This keeps track of the time passed after the timer sounded. In conclusion – after having tested two different timers, Harbor (imo) is better for individuals with physical disabilities that have difficulty with hand dexterity due to pain or disease such as arthritis
