Best Wheel Cleaner I've Found

I recently inherited a Harley Davidson Sportster that had been badly neglected. The rear wheel was literally black with brake dust and grime. I tried some old wheel cleaner on my shelf, and it didn't touch the mess. I read reviews of this product, and decided to try it. OMG, I sprayed it on, massaged it gently with a spoke brush, let stand for five minutes, and sprayed off with water. My wheel looks brand new. It doesn't even need a second application. I will be ordering more of this stuff for my garage. What a great product!!

I was skeptical about wheel cleaners solely based on how filthy my rims were with years of baked on break dust. So i came across this product with a pretty bold statement " Best wheel cleaner on amazon". So i said to myself:" Yeah okay, we will see" - so i placed my order and when product arrived it arrived on perfect condition no broken bottle. After taking my wheels off and following the directions i was blown away at how amazing this product works. You will need to do some scrubbing depending on the condition of your rims, but my pictures are better than most of what you'll see using this or any other wheel cleaning product. I could of gotten the rim much cleaner, but i just wanted them clean and not for no car show. HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone with filthy rims. Got my moneys worth and would buy again in a heart beat.

Works on dipped rims, with or without scrubbing

I have plasti-dipped rims and got tired of having rims that still looked like brake dust even after washing. I was a little hesitant to try this stuff due to the cost but there were many great reviews so I pulled the trigger. I must say this stuff works. I have an M3 with massive brakes so break dust is a constant problem for me. After hitting my rims with a power washer, spraying them with soap and then rinsing, I sprayed this stuff on my rims. Let it sit for a couple minutes (out of the sun) and rinsed it off with the power washer. You can clearly see the difference in my before and after pictures. I tried applying the spray only and I also tried scrubbing the rims after spraying and the results were very similar. This stuff works with or without scrubbing and I highly recommend it whether you have dipped rims or not. NOTE: The picture with the brake dust is AFTER power washing. So can see how ineffective washing alone is vs. using this spray.

White wheel believer

Honestly. I am a very neglectful white wheel owner. Wheels are 6mths old I kept then clean the first week. I really thought there was no hope after baking In SW Florida heat humidity, salty air. I have used so many products in the past that promised results. With no luck. If it was easy I'd clean them more often. But never have I found a product like this. THIS SH*T is awesome. I had so many doubts. Spray spray spray. Forms a nice coating eating away gunk. 5 min later . slight brush with wheel brush. I didn't have access to water hose and my power washer was being borrowed. So I used a plastic spray bottle zep brand from home cheapo I had laying around. I had no expectations, zero. Spray spray spray. Omg ' faint ' . Are you freaking kidding me. Straight. Unbelievable. I used entire spray bottle full of water to spray the first wheel Down. All of that nasty crap came off. No way. YES WAY. After finishing all wheels, the same way. I stood back. Admiring a sick set of clean wheels. Same as the day she came home. Thanks guys. I am a believer. There is no price I won't pay for time and quality. You saved me ALOT of headache!

This just might the "Best" wheel cleaner I've used to date.

I've tried many different wheel cleaners before and this one is really great. I was excited to try this on my wheels today even though it was raining lol. I haven't cleaned my wheels in at least a month and I'm happy to say that this wheel cleaner is the best one I've used so far. I might have used a bit more than I needed but no harm. Do use a wheel brush though if you have more than ordinary dirt and dust build up. No wheel cleaner can get rid of brake dust alone not even the really expensive ones. Good job carguys.

Occasionally products are worth 5 stars!

Is this stuff perfect? No, but 5 stars on Amazon says "I love it" when you hover over it. What would I change? The price since I use so much of it. Otherwise, nothing comes to mind at all. Reviews that say soap is better, that this stuff is just dish soap, etc. are people with an ax to grind. This stuff does exactly what it is supposed to do and if you follow the directions, it does an amazing job. I am using it on 4 vehicles, 2 of which have black wheels, 1 that has gloss gray and cleared milled aluminum, and another with cleared polished aluminum. The first time I used it was with a cheap spray bottle - this stuff needs to an open nozzle or it will not come out right so after that I switched to a hand sprayer (kind with the pump on top of the assembly) to get good coverage. I pretty much do what the instruction say, but the specific order of operations that I do is: 1) wash the entire car except for the wheels - I just blast the wheels with water as I wash the car. 2) spray 2 of the wheels (and sometimes tires) with the cleaner -- first few times I used way too much, so now I go sparingly. 3) let wheels sit for a few minutes 4) wet a wheel woolie and hit the entire wheel and brake caliper -- note if you use a good woolie you can get the inside of the wheel at the same time and the cleaner will make it look new again. 5) spray the living daylights out of the wheel and tire to remove ALL the cleaner. 6) blast the wheels dry with a leaf blower. 7) do the 2 wheels on the other side of the car. Following the above I have had no streaks, white spots, or other unwanted results; I do not use a pressure washer, and I do not use the cleaner on hot wheels. I will also say that the worst wheels had about 50k miles of being cleaned with other wheel cleaners and left unsatisfying every time. The first round with CarGuys and they looked great. The second time, they looked new again. Additionally, one of the vehicles regularly goes off-road, and unlike other cleaners, CarGuys has kept the 'dirt film' from sticking around. Sucks for me that this stuff is not cheaper as I go through it pretty fast with the extra vehicles.

Great Product for Alloy Wheels

I never had alloy wheels before but they came standard on my 2016 Subaru Forester Limited. I did not realize that they needed special cleaning until I saw dark stains at the center of the wheels only a couple of weeks after picking up the car. I don’t know if the stains were the so called “brake dust” but they were greasy in texture. I used a dish soap and a pressure washer but that didn’t cut it. So I went to Amazon and searched for "alloy wheel cleaner" and found this Car Guys product. Their customer service is excellent and the product was shipped and received within a couple of days. I sprayed it on, waited 5 minutes, gently brushed with a soft brush, and rinsed it off. It was as if the greasy stains were melted off (see photo)! I will definitely shop Car Guys in the future. They seem to be innovative, care about the quality of their products, and follow-up personally with their customers to make sure they are satisfied!

Not your typical review but very impressed

I usually do not give 5 stars for most of my reviews that I dive into because I feel that earning 5 stars means that the company has made such an excellent product that it matches my price, satisfaction, ease of use, quality control, and by far customer service. To not write a novel about this product I will grasp your attention on the key points of this product. I find the product to be best used at about 2 feet of a spray away from the wheels and about a foot away from the brake calipers and let their naturally balance PH formula sit for a couple of minutes. Then I took a fine wheel brush to get into the gritty areas. Once I did that I used a pressure hose to clean off the remaining soot, anything else that is left on take a micro fiber and spray just a little mist on and then get your fingers in the tight corners and you will be amazed how much Of your actual wheels we’re hiding underneath that grit. I purchased this product at full price not knowing what I will get out of the product. The customer service reaches out to everyone about their product to assure everyone is satisfied with their product and this is one of the key reasons why I am writing about this product and giving it 5 stars. Most companies loose that connection with their customers and what I see here is a small company wanting to reach that with each and every person and to me, that is well worth purchasing the product again as well as providing them with a great review because I believe in the product and then company and hope the best for them to go far. Go ahead give them a try and you will find yourself with a new company.
