I love these monitors, they sound nice and flat, great for editing music/video.

Value for money package deal compared to all others I have seen so far.

The speakers are great so far. Love the bass response and the HF clarity. The complete package with stands and cables came well packed and is of really good quality. The stands are very heavy and sturdy and was a breeze to setup. The TRS cables are of good quality. The speakers and the stand were well packed in a single box and were tightly put together so had no damage or whatsoever. I will update more on the speakers in a few months after using them. Overall the price i paid for the package was value for money.

Arrived as expected and on time

Great monitors, acceptable stands, fantastic value.

First of all, I didn't realize what I was missing by mixing my music with HiFi speakers. Don't get me wrong, my music sounded phenomenal through my KEF Q100's, but by using speakers that sounded better but were less accurate I've been doing a huge disservice to my recordings. The HS5's don't give you that "wow factor" but they give you an accurate representation of the recording, which is the key to having great sounding tracks when you listen in on quality gear. They are also a beautiful set of monitors. The LED's illuminating the Yamaha logo add a touch of elegance to an otherwise average looking pair of speakers. I was also concerned with the quality of the stands given the base is made of thin aluminum, but as long as you keep them in a place nobody will accidentally bump into them, you should be fine. I would've welcomed a heavier base but beggars can't be choosers, and for $20 more than the cost of the monitors themselves (which are already reasonably priced), this bundle is a fantastic value.

Great Product, been using these speakers for months now and have to say you can't beat this deal! I shopped around everywhere looking for in studio sales and this seems like a magical gift from the recording heavens.

Best Speakers In This Price Range

I've been reading "Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio" by Mike Senior (highly recommended) and decided to upgrade my KRK Rokit 5's to these Yamaha HS8 and the difference is stunning. These Yamaha's sound wonderful but don't color the tone like the KRK's do. I'm recording and mixing in a smaller 15x15 room and these HS8's add a presence that translates well to other systems and playback devices. Highly recommended.
