I Love this. Bolted this to my patio and the 10 foot span is HUGE. Very windy in my back yard but this umbrella handles it!!! I'm noticing a lot of bad reviews of this breaking easily. I never leave my umbrella open or without its protective cover on it when I'm not using it. Bolted to my patio. No hideous weights to hold it down. I have a WIND TUNNEL for a back yard. And my umbrella is still in perfect condition. If you just do the right thing with it, it will last. When your checking l cranking it open, don't over crank it. Never use it if the wind is so high, it's flailing all over the place. That's dangerous anyway. You could put an eye out if this is dancing around in high winds. Always lower and cover it when you're not using it. Mine has been bolted to my patio for almost 2 years now.... could be 2 years or over, even. And it's still perfect. Thank you for a good product.

Beautiful!

This umbrella is even better than I imagined for the price! It comes almost completely assembled. I ordered the blue and it is so vibrant and pretty it compliments our pool so well. The best part is how BIG it is! It provides so much shade. We didn't order the weight(you need SOMEthing. The umbrella won't stay up on its own.) We ended up stopping at a hardware store and picking up 4 12" square patio pavers and they work perfectly to hold the umbrella down. Highly recommend!

After reading many reviews for many different offset umbrellas I ran across some horrible ones and some that were looking better though the prices for the "good ones" were about $30 to $80 and I don't want to even start talking about the fancy $300-$400 umbrellas that I wasn't even considering. I was not expecting this to be the best quality umbrella and was wondering if it's going to be any good and was surprised to find out its actually a great umbrella for the very low price. Opening and closing it is easy and takes no time without the need to use any force or needing to lift any heavy weight. The umbrella is covering a large area the fabric is thin but does block the sun well and this umbrella looks great in my backyard. The base is not heavy enough to hold it especially if it's windy. I've been seeing pictures of people who attached the umbrella to many different things securing it from falling / tipping over and eliminating the base that comes with it. I saw some reviews that showed broken parts which I can see how such a thing can happen especially if using too much force that isn't needed, another reason is if the umbrella is kept uncovered and the sun is pounding on the plastic damaging it. Definitely worth investing in a cover for it when not in use. Overall I'm extremely happy with this great umbrella, the LOW price and good quality. Looks great and does a job blocking the sun. Easy to open and close Highly recommended umbrella especially with such a low price tag. Seller and Amazon were great and shipping was extremely fast of course. Bigger and better than expected! Great quality of the product AND customer service!

Extremely satisfied with this product. The umbrella comes with instructions, and is incredibly easy to assemble. It can be rotated, the angle and the height can be conveniently adjusted. It's enormous size and great quality is overwhelming. The only downside is the base, which has to be supported with sandbags, which is an additional purchase. However, all in all the umbrella is wonderful. Additionally, the price was surprisingly affordable. I bought this umbrella as a birthday gift. I ordered it on the 6th, and the estimated delivery was supposed to be on the 12th (already passed the birthday). Therefore, I called Amazon customer support to see if I can pay extra to expedite the shipping process. The customer service representative assured me that I will get it on the 11th (the birthday), and I ended up receiving it today (the 8th) with no extra charges. Great purchase, great buying experience!

Great Product For My Hot Tub

All I can say is WOW. What a wonderful invention. I needed some protection for my hot tub during periods of rain. Cold rain makes using the hot tub very uncomfortable. I had a regular patio unbrella but it only covered a portion of the tub. This umbrella covers my entire tub. If raises very easily. I am amazed how the mechanism works. Very ingenious. I have it on an elevated wooden deck and I was able to bolt it down with stainless steel bolts. Everything seems very heavy duty. I hope that it as durable as it is functional. I did purchase a cover for it to protect it from UV rays since it will stay out in the weather all year. Note that I am 6' 2" and I can barely touch th top of the umbrella when folded so if you get a cover try to get one with a built in wand to assist lifting the cover on to the umbrella.

too easy to be true... but true

We are now THREE seasons later and I completely LOVE this product. It totally changed the look AND FEEL of our patio! It looked -- and WAS- easy to put up (the cantilevered part is already put together). You do not need two people although it is very heavy. I purchased the saddlebags but have not filled them yet but TwO rolling planter holders with the plants on top of them fit perfectly over the cross bars. The umbrella is great quality for the price. We love, love love it! Customer service is responsive and friendly.

Worth the money!

Not amazing quality but the price was totally worth it. Read all the reviews & we decided for the $ it was worth taking a chance! As soon as we get wind, we put it down. But we are in the middle of town & don’t get a ton of wind usually. So far so good, and would totally purchase again. The box did get delivered completely destroyed tho!

Good buy

You do need to brace these umbrellas at the base but we just used cinder blocks and actually built a table around the base. We love these - the colors are vibrant and the work easily. I would imagine Not good for high wind area. For the price they are a good buy.

Made in the shade...

We now have two of these, to shade a swim spa and a hot tub. The picture here shows a steel foot, which we didn't use; I used lag bolts to secure the stand directly to a deck. Installation is straightforward; the only hiccup is that the head assembly should be inserted into the boom endcap before the thing is erected.
