My son closed his power cord in this laptop - no idea how. A local computer shop wanted $200 for the repair. This is a much cheaper and effective way to go. Super simple to switch out the screen.....in this particular laptop, can't speak for all of them.

Installation was easy with help from You tube video . Screen works great! The $37 I paid for the screen, is a lot cheaper than the $200 plus, the Geek squad would have charged me. Great product, I love it and so dose my grandson.

Easy to install!

I'm so happy to have this screen. My old screen (for my HP Red Flyer) had a big white line right down the center. I thought this would be complicated to install, but a few YouTube videos and I was able to install it myself. So not only do I have an enormous sense of accomplishment, but I saved $55-$95 (depending on where you go to get it installed). Six screws and fifteen minutes--that's all it took! (And I'm NOT a techie at all.) Best purchase ever. :)

Nice Replacement screen

This item was really clean at delivery and highly protected for shipping. I felt like the victim of a cruel Christmas joke, having to peel back five layers of protection, but it was also impressive as the provider want to make sure it is delivered in a flawless state. Upon arrival, it took 10 minutes to install and the computer was up and running. The screen also came with a protective film, which could be removed or left on for the customer's benefit of knowing it was a new screen. Tops stars.
