I absolutely love this microwave. We replaced our old one that was fairly new and put it in our guest house and put the Panasonic in the main house. This microwave defrosts better than any other I've ever had and the sensor reheat is fabulous. The controls are completely intuitive as well, unlike our old one.

I upgraded from a Sharp 1.3 1000W. I disliked the Sharp because it had very annoying repeating beep beep beep reminder every 30 seconds. I really enjoy this microwave. Never had one with a turn dial timer and now I think I would never want to go back to the keypad. Also, it does have a beep alert when cooking and in between stages but not repeating reminder to make you come open the door like the nagging annoying garbage Sharp puts out.

I really like the sensor reheat. This is a microwave I can keep clean. With the sensor cooking I have had nothing boil over.

The last microwave I purchased was in the late 80's, a Panasonic, used until early 2019 but in storage for 5 years. I'm serious, it worked for almost 25 years, even the light bulb inside. This model is surprisingly similar for what's visible so I hope that means the internal are similar or the same too. This 1250W model is more square on the inside whereas my previous 900W or 1000W was more rectangular. I believe this helps with the newer model cooking more evenly. The steam sensor reheat method works well, rather than try to guess how many minutes you need you just select reheat and a sensor stops the heating when it senses steam (water vapor).

Panasonic NN-SD745S Countertop/Built-In Microwave with Inverter Technology, 1.6 cu. ft. , Stainless Really love this microwave, thought it would be complicated to use because of the type of settings but found that it is very easy to program. it is much quieter than the one that I had and cooks EVENLY love that feature. Read the reviews about door and latch problems it does not have this issue. I would highly recommend this microwave

This is my 2nd Panasonic microwave. My last Panasonic microwave was fantastic & lasted 10 years. It had sensor cooking & reheating & inverter technology. When this oven quit working I had to find a microwave with those features. Only Panasonic has incorporated inverter technology & built on to this basic feature to enable their ovens to get the most out of it. Inverter technology ensures there will be no hot & cold spots but will have even heating throughout. It also defrosts frozen food perfectly without cooking the outer edges. And the Genius Sensor cooking & reheating turns the oven off when your food has reached the optimal temperature & is done, taking the guesswork out of how long to cook/reheat your food without over or under cooking your food. After having these features I could not do without them in my next microwave. After days of researching & reading about microwaves & reading customer reviews I selected this microwave & I'm so glad I did. It's the largest microwave I've ever owned & it works perfectly. It's very nice looking, too. I just love it & I can't understand why everyone who uses this microwave wouldn't love it, too.

When I was in the market for a new microwave I read a LOT of reviews. Although this one got great reviews and looked great and was the right size, I was worried about "the dial" because I had never used one before. Well, I read a review that said "you'll love it" and they were right!! Not only does this heat and defrost/thaw really quickly, it's super easy to clean and even faster to put in the time you want to cook something. And, I DO love the easy twist dial now. Definitely glad I mad this purchase.

After going through a series of current microwaves that have weird controls, lack of features, and bad workmanship, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief... this Panasonic microwave is a keeper! I've had it a month now and am impressed at its sensor cooking, overall workmanship, evenness of cooking and food quality. My only gripe is that I couldnt go and see it in person in any store... appears to only be available online... but I'm glad i took the chance after it scored highly in many "Top" and "Best" lists online.

Looks great. Cooks evenly. Easy to use intuitive buttons. Standard size. The door closes well and securely. The interior light has a pleasant color temperature and the visibility is good. I.e. after purchasing this microwave we tested it to make sure none of the negative review comments applied to this particular purchase. In our case everything worked. So far, so good. Buying a microwave seems a bit like a crap shoot. There seems to be general issues in quality control. This model and this particular unit seems sound.

We love this so far. The “inverter” technology seems a lot better at reducing power level than the other technologies. It’s much quiter and beeping much less annoying than our previous GE microwave. The glass spinner can get off kilter a little more easily than I would like, but it isn’t that bad. I read some other reviews about the low-quality of the cardboard plate that covers the electronics. I guess that might be legit, but it doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere and we haven’t had any problems with it. I would prefer an option to shut off the rotation, which would let us re-heat our dishpan water more easily without it spinning back and forth.
