If you put bread into it, toast comes out, and then you can eat it. It's pretty great, honestly

This makes toast. You can check that box for sure. It even has a series of buttons and knobs that let you specify EXACTLY how you convert your boring, soft bread into a hot, crispy wonderland of carbs. It does these things because it is a toaster. You should not be surprised by this. The build quality initially leaves the impression that it's cheap, but I think that's just because it's very lightweight. It's about half the weight of my previous toaster, which is theoretically pretty nice, although it's not like I move the thing very often. My favorite part about this toaster is that it's not absolutely full of a bunch of burned icing from the time my wife tried to toast the stickiest loaf of iced cinnamon bread I've ever seen, so it doesn't start on fire whenever I use it. That's a real plus in my book. If you're wondering why she decided to put icing in the toaster, you'll have to ask my wife.

Works great!

This toaster works great. I don't know why it has so many people complaining but I've never had a problem with nine. I ended up moving out of state and had to sell my first one and purchase another and I went with the same one cause I liked it so much. The price and quality are great and I am very happy with my purchase and my toast in the morning.

It's a toaster that works!

This is the TR1410BD model. Looks nice. Cord is on the back. Guides in each slot keep bread centered for even toasting. Easy to set dial that does not wobble around like other toasters. I like having the cancel button that releases the magnet that holds the carrier down. Works great. Recommended.

Love My Black and Decker Toaster !!!

What can I say about this toaster but I love it. My wife and I have bought many toasters over the years and NONE has made a piece of toast like I wanted. I remember the days when you could take a piece of toast from the toaster and butter it and THE BUTTER WOULD MELT and it would also have that great crunchy taste all the way through. WELL THIS TOASTER DOES THAT !!!!!! I remember the days when my mom would make homemade bread and how great it tasted out of the toaster. Home made bread is great toasted. This toaster seemed slow at first until I remembered how long I used to wait for a great piece of toast. Used to pull a chair up to the counter to wait on one !!! Have a black and decker coffee pot and absolutely love that too. OH and it also makes 4 pieces of toast so I don't have to make my wife's first then mine LOL !!! LOVE IT

I have only had it for a couple of days, but, so far, it works great! I looks nice in my kitchen (almost identical to the 2-slot one I had for 10 years) and toasts evenly. I read a couple of reviews that didn't like the cord coming out of the right side. It may be a recent addition, but you can wrap the cord underneath the toaster and have it come out any side you so wish. I guess time will tell about the longevity of it, but I have had no issue with Black & Decker products in the past.

Great little toaster, used for over a year now

Had this over a year now and we use it on a daily basis. It has held up to the constant daily use and still works like day one. Still heats evenly and the timer is still consistent. Just make sure to clean out the bottom once in a while so nothing gets too gunked up.

Product precisely as described. Found 2 slice toaster from another trusted manufacturer of kitchen hardware but those 4 slice toaster was at the same price, built by black and decker, and though I've only owned it for a short while, works great.

For the Love of Bagels

Not only does it toast well it looks great on my counter; all of our appliances are stainless still. We have had this for a couple of months and so far it is still working great. It toasts everything evenly and the large opening makes it easy to toast bagels; there's a button to switch it over to bagels. There's also a button to select if what you are toasting is frozen, like Egos. We have even reheated leftover waffles in it with no problem. The large openings would cause a problem with someone that had limited counter space. Over all we are happy we went with this model.

Sturdy Four Slicer with two sets of controls! Cooks toast, bagels, even frozen waffles!

My old 20 year old toaster bit the dust, and I decided to upgrade with a four slice model that could handle bagels and frozen waffles. This is a GREAT toaster! It has a 'frozen' button that works wonders for heating up waffles. And with two heating element pairs with separate controls and settings, you can cook toast and waffles or bagels side by side! Or let you significant other set the level of toasting on one side while you take the other, and have perfect toast for each of you!
