I love my little dog so much. She's the center of my universe. She is adorable, sweet, funny and she also has allergies. I can't use products with scents, not even essential oils. I searched high and low for unscented shampoo at a few different stores... couldn't find anything. And really, dogs work hard on their signature scent and don't appreciate us using stuff that WE find pleasing to the nose to cover it up. There is a lot of information in their scent which is passed to other dogs, it's like taking away their identity when we make them all smelly to suit our personal preferences. So, my dog and I have an understanding about bath time; she has to get clean so she doesn't stink up my world and I don't make her all stinky with flowery crap that embarrasses her at the dog park. We both LOVE this dog shampoo.

After losing a dog to cancer a few months ago I've started doing more research about what chemicals I'm putting on and in my dogs bodies. It was time for new shampoo so I read a few reviews and saw a great one for this product. I love it! I have 3 dogs who are all ok, 2 even LOVE bath time but it normally takes forever to wash all the soap out of their hair, not the case with this stuff and they feel squeaky clean. It is very thin so I made sure my husband knew not to turn the bottle up like we would have done in the past with thicker shampoos and a little goes a long way! They have all had several baths and it looks like we've barely used any product. Because 2 of my girls have skin allergies I got the unscented aloe and I much prefer that over the smell of other shampoos I've used in the past. Thanks for making a great product!

I love this shampoo. It cleaned kept my poodle's white paws after bathing the mud off her from digging. It is not a thick shampoo. It is ready to use immediately (no watering down). Because of this, it is easy to rinse. Granted, I have not yet given a full bath so I do not know how it is on the longer hair to see how it leaves her tail.

Extremely happy with this shampoo and my dog is much more relaxed! I used to bath both of my dogs with Earthbath shampoo but one of my dogs who has very sensitive skin was crazy itchy for days afterwards. The itchy one also has food allergies too ( she used to get rashes etc from her food - if your dog suffers from the same issues see my profile for the Origen kibble review - no more rashes!) Anyhow she’s just a sensitive little flower who needs extra special care! I did a lot of research before trying this one because a lot of so called “natural” shampoos still have nasty ingredients. Firstly i tried the lemongrass version of this shampoo. Be warned, it’s like undiluted lemongrass essential oil - it’s SO strong I felt sorry for her poor little sensitive nose! It was overwhelming to me! However no itchiness, so I purchased the unscented one. Perfect! Couldn’t be happier. Well I would be if it had just a tiny bit of scent. But she smells clean after her bath (like Castile soap) and she isn’t going crazy gnawing at her sides and toes! So this shampoo is the winner!

Fantastic shampoo. I like that it's organic and unscented. I don't need my dogs to smell like jasmine or baby powder. A lot of reviewers have posted about the consistency being too runny. That's because they're used to the garbage that's in the store-bought dog shampoos which are thick and full of chemicals to make it foamy. It really doesn't take a lot of this shampoo to wash your dog. I poured a little her back, spritzed it with water and worked it into a nice lather. I started working the later down toward her tail, adding just a little bit of water to make it move better. Hen I did her legs and feet. All without adding any more shampoo!it is not necessary to lather your dog head to toe to get her clean. We've been programmed to think lots of lather means a cleaner dog. As for rinsing off, I found it easier to rinse off than any other shampoo. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants truly organic, unscented shampoo for their pets.

My Lab/Golden X has allergies to so many things as do I. One of the most severe is the strong odor they put into shampoo's and other personal cleaning products. We would both itch and itch and he would shed and scoot on the carpet with his bottom and rub his face on the bed. I would have headaches and hives. Grooming day was not a happy one. This shampoo has left my service dog so nice and shiny. The vet technician at the office does his bathing for me and she commented on how wonderful this shampoo lathers up and leaves him with his coat soft and without any perfumes or other unneeded chemicals. He is about 80 pounds and she used about four capfuls and added water as needed to get it to cover all his fur. I have had no reactions to anything in it and we noticed it does not leave the residue the other shampoo's had that would attract dirt and other stuff to his fur. He looked dirty just two days after using the synthetic, it just did not rinse off very well. I think his body was creating more oils to compensate for the reaction to the chemical's too. We are now going on one week after using this product and he remains glossy and so soft. He doesn't feel and look greasy and there is no more itching. I can actually see the wavy hair on his back. This used to slick down after a day or so with the other's I have tried. Four-legs up!! We love it!

I have 2 Golden Retrievers. I heard about 4-Legger shampoo from Dr. Melissa Shelton who recommended the unscented 4-Legger to add the animalEO essential oils to. I first tried it without any EOs and was so impressed! A little does go a long way and it is not thick so you’ll think you need to add more but don’t. Follow the instructions and it works beautifully. Lathers very well and rinses clean. A bonus was that it cut drying time at least by half. Seriously. Normally, they’d be wet for at least an hour even after towel drying for 30 minutes or so. With this, they’d be about 80% dry after 10-15 minutes of toweling and only be slightly damp in some places half an hour later. Once completely dry their coats were soft and shiny and just gorgeous!! Best they’ve ever looked from just a bath. And when I added in the animalEO blends, same results just smelled even better. I’ve also used Dr. Bonner’s plain Castile soap too and adding in the EOs, but it doesn’t rinse as well or leave their fur as beautiful as this. Well worth the money. This made them less itchy too. I’ve ordered the 4-Legger cedar/eucalyptus/peppermint shampoo also to help with combating fleas since I don’t use chemical insecticides with my animals. I can’t wait to try that out too. This will be my only brand of shampoos now for ever.

I got the unscented and that rang true. I got it because my dog has had 3 allergic reactions to shampoos and I was at my wits end, I’m a dog groomer and just could not figure out what to bathe my dog with that wouldn’t cause her to break out in painful hives and lose half her hair! I wanted to try something with the least ingredients possible, that was natural, 4-legger seemed like my best choice. I diluted it about 1 to 5 with water just because she is so sensitive and she DIDN’T break out!! I was ecstatic! Also it DOES suds up. Forever customer here!

After so many years of looking for a shampoo for my pup who has the most delicate skin in the world I have found one. Finally, no itching for days after a bath. I am very relieved too! The ingredients are non-toxic; no surprises hiding bad chemicals behind neutral sounding names. It is not thick but a water like consistency because there is nothing bad in it. Be assured it is really pure.

This the best pet shampoo I have ever used. I have been using it for almost 2 years. I started using it when my chug was about 6 months old. When I adopted him as a 10 week old puppy (from a rescue) he had mange. They were able to treat it with injections but after the hair grew back I had to bathe him about every 5 days because he smelled awful and his coat and skin were greasy and he was always scratching. After trying multiple brands recommend by the vet, local pet supply stores, friends and others. Spending lots of money on shampoos I ended up throwing away, I found 4 legger. It was less expensive then most of the shampoos I had bought. The product works great. BELIEVE them when they say it only takes a small amount. 1 bottle lasted over a year. I now only bathe him every 3 to 4 weeks or so. (unless he finds something stinky to roll in) His fur stays nice to the touch and body odor is not nasty. I now have a 2nd pup (also from a rescue group) who came to me with body odor and lots of itching. After a couple of baths with 4 Legger... No more itching and feels clean and smells like a clean pup should. My only complaint is more of a joke. The quantity of the bottle is to large. They have several different scents I want to try but with only using a small amount it lasts way to long. The shampoo (aloe vera and lemongrass) does have a very strong scent when first applied but fades from fur quickly. Give it a try, you will love it.
