I just popped a kid and have been breastfeeding, so this bad boy is a lifesaver because I am ALWAYS thirsty. I like my water ice cold, so following the advice of some other reviewers, I fill this up with water about two or three inches shy of the top, then stick it into the freezer overnight. In the morning, I put the lid on, fill it all the way to the top with tap water, and then spend the entire day enjoying ice cold water. The mug seems to keep things cool and it doesn't really "sweat" which is great because I hate pools of water on my table top. The lid is a little tough to get on and off, but there is a trick from another reviewer (check it out on the 72oz version page) that helped. Put your weight on the lid and hold on as tightly as possible, then with the other hand, pull the handle clockwise and it'll open up. I also like the mouth opening to be on the left side of the handle as I am right handed. A trick I have found is to start it off on the opposite side, so when you twist it shut, it ends up being where you want it to be.

Purchased this as a gift-I personally LOVE Bubba cups.I have several different styles of them. This one I know works great. You can put ice water in it-keep refilling the water and there will still be ice left 8 hours later. Downfall is that it won't fit into a cup holder but that's what you get when you get one that big. I wish it came with s Bubba straw but I guess I'll have to purchase some more.

This is my all day tea cup. I fill it once and not again for the rest of the day. It took me a while to learn to hold such a massive vessel and still keep my pinky in the air, but with time and practice it's doable. I've also found that it doubles nicely as a bludgeoning object for when you are faced with a particularly stupid or belligerent cow-orker, the steel outside is easy to clean blood off of and it takes minimal scrubbing to get the blood out of cracks where the plastic meets the metal. In a pinch you can convert it to a morning star by attaching a chain to the handle. I love my bubba.

The first time my husband (then fiance) visited my parent's house, their big male German Shepherd charged him to "show him who's boss." At the time, he had the 34oz mug, and carries it with him everywhere, filled with the Elixir of Life: Diet Coke. When the Shepherd "charged," my hubby stuck the mug in his face, and kind of "brushed him to the side" with it. The poor dog looked SO CONFUSED! We've had a running joke about the Diet Coke Mug Defense System since then, but a Special Forces guy really uses this mug as a weapon in the movie "We're the Millers." I got him this upgraded, larger mug as a Christmas Present since his other one was getting old (like, 5+ years???). Okay, so other than its AWESOME self defense properties, this mug is durable and comfortable to hold, even when full of Diet Coke. It keeps the drink cold (with ice in it) for about 6 hours. Cleaning is easy, your hand easily fits into it to sponge it out and the lid is simple enough to be easy to clean also. My one complaint about this mug as opposed to the other is the screw on lid. The seal isn't quite as good/easy as the pop top on the previous mug, and if tilted, the drink gets under the rim and drips until you pop the cap and wipe it all up.

I was soo despondent that night, when I first realized you were missing. I was in a moving vehicle, and could not get out to run and find you. All I had to go on were my own thoughts. It had been a very long day 14 hour day. And you were always there for me. I'm sorry I accidently left you under the roulette table. Ah, who cares? Got a brand new 52oz Bubba replacement... within 24 hours!

This is a great mug. I drink a lot of water throughout the day (I try to refill this mug once a day/drink 2), and it keeps it cold when I add a bunch of ice in the morning. However, I realized after I ruined two that they are absolutely not dishwasher safe, bottom OR top rack (I ruined one both ways). They will get ruined fast, and start to leak at the bottom. It's pretty easy to hand wash with some hot soapy water, so don't make the same mistake(s) I did. I bought extra Bubba straws, so I can have a new one every day, and the straws ARE dishwasher safe, just make sure to take them out of the dishwasher and into a rack (stack them vertically) so they fully dry out before you put them away.

I LOVE my bubba mugs. I've had them since they came out and ususally only replace them when they get damaged or lost. But my biggest complaint has been using them in vehicles. They don't fit ANY cup holder. For years I';ve wedged them between my leg and the door or bought those crappy adjustable cup holders that don't work! So finally I decided to DIY it. Straight to the hardware store for some PVC fittings. Planning on doing some Dremel work and gluing. BUT THEN i saw these rubber couplers. They are used to connect different sizes of pipe. Did some quick measurements and TADA! Saved me from going to my CAD program and 3D printer. This fits my Jeep Patriot like it was a factory option. With a little Xacto trimming for the handle, the wide part fits a 34oz Bubba perfectly. The bottom fits into just about any center mounted cup holder. You might need to wrap some duct tape or a piece of hose to make the bottom more snug.

I wouldn’t think of not having one of these - 2 in fact just in case. I use this keg to keep track of how much water I drink a day and when I have polished off five rounds then I’m golden for the day. Super durable, keeps ice forever (less so in Open summer heat), does not sweat, nice flexible straw. Live with the thing in my hand. Warning the seal and straw will naturally form mold due to moisture in such small spaces and heat. Clean the lid seal with Dawn and a scrub sponge (there my be some staining) and run about ten QTips through the middle of the straw using a Kabob stick to get all the way in and out twice a month to keep mold from building up..never cleaned it before run to your sink now. You can also slowly work a Q Tip along the inside of the straw from end to end

Does not leak all over like many others, and keeps ice water cold for a long time. The older style has a screw on top, which really sucks. The new style is of the push-in design, and they are very easy to use, and very easy to clean. I have both the 20oz, and 34 oz version of these. I have never used either for hot liquids, as I never drink hot beverages from plastic. I can say though, that for cold stuff, they are pretty darn nice. ****Update 3 years later***** I have used this mug every day for 3 years now. It now leaks a little bit if you knock it over, but that is not a big deal to me. If I could remove just half a star I would. I use it with the ice / water machine at work daily, and it I take it to bed with me every night filled with ice water. Love waking up during the night thirsty, and having nice cold ice water so readily available...

Have been using them for years, but the seem to becoming harder and harder to find. HINT! Don't use regular ice cubes, they melt too fast. You know those throw-away green or red plastic cups, thing college kegger party. Fill the cup all the way to the top and put in freezer- I keep multiple ones there. When you got to make a drink, take one out of the freezer, run it under hot water for a few seconds and it just pops out. Put your mini Titanic iceberg into the cup and fill with your choice of beverage. Even if you refill the mug once that "ice cube" will still be in there 5 hours later!!! Hint 2: Don;t forget to refill the cup and put back in the freezer. Best thing is to just do that after you have popped the frozen one out. Heck you already have the cup in hand and the hot water running, why not!
