Perfect For Many Applications!

Perfect for gifts, labels, etc. I personally bought these so that I can label my son's teacher's Valentine's gifts. They are the perfect size for using as I did or if you want to use it as a creative label for bins, baskets, or boxes. For the price they are good quality and easy to use. Since these are porous they recommend not using liquid chalk but I did anyways and it worked perfectly. The reason they recommend you don't use the liquid chalk is because once it's on, it's on. Most people use the liquid chalk on non-porous chalkboards in order to give them a smoother and more professional application that can be washed away anytime. So beware, if you plan to use the liquid chalk on these boards, they will NOT come off once it dries. (It will wash away if you do it quickly after application, though) I highly recommend these as they are super cute and of good quality.

Super cute

I used these to label some baskets. Like other reviews have said, they're painted pine, so chalk/chalk pens wouldn't work well on these. I used a silver sharpie and they look great.

We Like them

Happy with purchase. We use for our alcohol decanters. Appreciate it being double sided...we write what kind of alcohol on the front and then the brand on the back. I don’t believe these will be readable though.

Nifty Custom Touch for Many Ideas

I put all my different liquors into custom glass bottles and then labeled each with these. Makes for a nice custom, non-branded look to my home bar. The quality of these little signs is good. They are wood and the twine is long enough to so you can adjust the length if you want. I bought a chalk "marker" to write on these.

Look more costly than they are

These are preety darn cute . I bought them to hang on some baskets for identification and find myself looking for other opportunities to use them. They are made of wood and look more costly than they are. Glad I purchased these.

Good little signs

Good little signs. Slight imperfections but it’s wood so that’s normal. They are exactly what you’d find in a Michaels but don’t have to go to the store! I believe the black is chalkboard paint, it has a gritty texture compared to regular paint.

Worked well, but not sure chalk pen will come off

Used these for a mimosa bar to label the juices. Worked well, but the chalk pen wouldn't come off as far as I tried. I'll have to look into it more. But I will be doing the same mimosa bar this summer so I'm ok with just reusing them at least for now.

Cute chalk board tags

These are cute. I used a pencil-like chalk to write on it. Just think about where you will be attaching the tags. You need something to tie the string on. These tags worked with my pantry's wire baskets, but I wasn't thinking about where I could attach them to my fabric baskets or glass jars. I ended up also purchasing some sticker style tags for my jars.

Affordable, high quality chalkboard labels

I am impressed with these little labels. They were the first of this kind I ever purchased. I use them for home organization projects. I love that the strings are as long as they are. Do note that I used conventional chalk (which I love), and they wipe off with a wet rag cleanly/perfectly for reuse. I'm ordering a second set because I am using them everywhere with all my bins, baskets, and drawers. Very happy. Five stars because they seem to be the best value out there and the quality is great. No, they're chalboard painted wood. I don't think anyone reasonable would have expected real slate for this price! Note that the finish is matte.

These mini chalkboards were perfect for labeling my pantry. I used my silhouette to add labels and tied them to the baskets. They looked great! They aren’t very good for wiping and reusing with actual chalk. If you do use them for chalk you need to wipe with water and a non shedding rag. I used paper towel and it left shedding behind on them.
