Love my foot rest. It helps to take the pressure off of my lower back. I have a high working surface. I don't mind the swivel at all. In fact I like being able to change the position of the angle of my feet. It keeps my ankles from getting stiff and gives me freedom to sit how I like without awkward angles for my ankles. Well made. My feet do not slip off of it at all. I have one of those plastic chair mats under my desk, so the foot rest was sliding. I went to Dollar tree and bought some under-mat, anti-slip padding, as well as a small thin gray mat. I stapled the padding to the underside of the mat, placed the foot rest on there and it keeps it in place!

This was a smart purchase for me. I sprained my ankle a month ago; and sometimes, when I sit at my desk for long periods of time, it feels uncomfortable. This footrest allows me to take the pressure off and increase circulation. Additionally, my back hurts less. I can get more work done when I am comfortable. I am going to purchase another for my daughter. I love that I can pivot the footrest up and down. Get this for your college kids.

Perfect height for under my work desk. The foot rest is slightly adjustable but stays put (both in the angle and where you place it on the floor), which is what I wanted. It is also discreet in case people walk by, and made of quality coated metal. I am pregnant and dealing with back pain, and this takes all the pressure off of my back by angling it to rest fully on the chair. Highly recommend!

Functional and study though, the rubber feet do slide off the rails on the bottom if you fidget around as much as I do. I applied a small amount of glue and they haven't moved since. I like that the angle adjustment is smooth and silent, not sure if it locks in place or not-- I like being able to shift it around. Best for use with shoes as I found the texture to be a little uncomfortable on bare skin during extended use. That said I much prefer the durable hard surface over some of the gel/cushioned alternatives that get dirty / fall apart over time.

Just received it a few hours ago so test is very short term, however I love it so far...realize after short period of time , don't realize I am using it..I sit long periods at home desk...had a stroke a year and half ago so spend long time on computer...watching the tube and needed something for my feet / legs. The price is ridiculously low...and also easy to return if not happy. I don't find it a negative that you can't lock it in a certain angle..not moving easily and I don't wear shoes or socks..those hospital walking socks so I like the message effect by moving feet. Next thing thinking is a cushion for butt and back on chair [wooden desk chair] Have one but it's a wheel chair cushion...starting to mash down so am exploring more support. On this foot rest...go for it..know u will love it..

Picked this up for my work desk, and works great. The bottom rubber grips came off pretty quickly - but aren't really necessary for it to function. This definitely helped to improve my posture. I'm working from a different location for a few weeks, and wish I had brought my foot rest with me!

I love it! It is just the right height for me to have my feet comfortably under the desk without my prior bad habit of using my subwoofer as a foot stool. It's very good quality, especially for the price (metal, not plastic). I sit here in my bare feet, and the bumps are not unpleasant, they feel nice and have a good grip. I was worried that the fact that the plate "rocked" (moves freely, either flat/angled etc) would be annoying, but actually it is nice because it allows it to constantly adapt to your position. I can angle it, or be flat or point my toes, it moves easily, but not to the point of being a balancing act. It's, dare I say, just right. The little feet it has are metal too, which made me worry for my hardwood floors in regard to scratches and sliding around, but they have rubber pads and tips, so it isn't a problem at all. So happy with this item.

Using this at work right this second. I have had it for 3 months because I wanted to be sure I used it regularly before making a comment about it. It has a very smooth hinge that adjusts with very little foot pressure from either the toes or the heel. No squeaking or other noise from it, yet. I have tile under my desk, so it does slide a bit with too much pressure, but that's overall okay, because I can scoot it out of the way if I change my sitting position to the front of my chair and don't want my feet to be raised. My coworker liked mine so much that she ordered one for herself.

This is great for anyone that has to sit for long periods of time. I ordered the foot rest because of height issues taking a toll on my legs and back due to my chair adjustments, but this has an added bonus in that it will slide back and forth while you sit at your desk. Foot rests I've had in the past have always broken easily but this seems to be heavy duty and I just don't see any of that happening here. It feels very secure and solid and hasn't moved around under my desk at all. If I had any wishes at all it would be that it was possible to adjust the height of the entire foot rest but that's just my wish. I am still totally pleased with this and it's still 5 stars in my opinion because it's not in the product specs that it should do that. AmazonBasics Foot Rest - Black

I like a product that works as intended with no annoying little quirks. I like the fact that I can rock my feet forward and backward when I choose. I can now sit more comfortably. I've been using it on carpet, where it has stayed put. "Installation" was a breeze: Step 1: Put it on the floor. Done. The foot rest area is 12" from front to back (one "foot" long, heh). That's plenty for me. It should accommodate up to a men's size 15 (US size), or more if you don't mind hanging ten. It's 15" wide. That works for me, but I suppose some might consider that narrow. It seems pretty sturdy so far, in my week and a half of usage. I suspect it wouldn't be hard to clean the foot surface.
