Much, much bigger than expected
So I've been using cheap plastic water "bowls" for my little furry friends. Of course by bowls I mean an old cottage cheese container. Those things work great, by the way, but I felt it was time to upgrade. So I saw this sweet pair of dog bowls here one day that looked da bomb, all shiny and dog bowl-y. And the price was right, especially for the pair! So naturally I bought 2 pairs for my 8 and 12 lb girls, thinking food, water, one here one there. Ummmm Then they arrived. I can't complain, amazing deal for the money. Seriously. But holy hell they are big dog big. Yeah, yeah, read the description, blah blah blah. I did, but I didn't expect much (I expected smaller size) for the cheap price I paid. This is one time where I got way, way more than expected. I've attached a pic of one of my girls next to the bowl. My girl isn't a puppy, she's 10. The bowl became her pool. I literally can't fit two of these things on the mat I previously bought for their food and water. I have a little bowl in the bathroom for them. I tried replacing it with one of these and stepped in it when I got out of the shower. Was like stepping into a tub. But the size aside, it's an amazing buy. Totally worth the money. Instead of two water bowls, I'm just using one of these now. Cleans easy. Very stable. Grippy bottom. I moved the one in my bathroom outside of shower stepping distance and that's working out. Definitely recommend as a food /water bowl for big dogs. Swimming pool for small ones. Either way, your pet will love you for it.

Perfect Size and Non-Slip Too
Bought these for our 5 month old 35lb Shepherd Mix that we just adopted. Each bowl holds 4 cups. Rubber ring comes off for easy cleaning. They do not slide around on the floor and she has yet to tip one of these over! I'm so glad I decided to be patient and wait for shipping instead of buying overpriced and possibly inferior bowls elsewhere! These are a great product for a great price!

Wasn't sure of the size when reading reviews prior to purchasing. They're plenty big!
I read some reviews from people saying these bowls are smaller than they thought... and then I read some that said they were plenty big. Ordered these for my 50lb Queensland Heelers not really knowing what to expect but they are PLENTY big! I think maybe the people who wanted them bigger were using them as water bowls?! My dogs are fed twice a day and each feeding only fills about half of the bowl. I would def order these again.

Bought two, they're great!
They look great and work great. Much better than our old steel bowls that would slide all over while our two dogs ate. The rubber on the bottom keeps them in place. Definitely would recommend!

Good product at a good price
These look nice paired up with our SlopperStopper water bowl for our 2 dogs. (Which we also bought on Amazon & I highly recommend.) For size comparison the water bowl holds a gallon but these are shallower - work great for about 3 cups of dog food. Are they self-cleaning & polishing? No but they're easy to clean. Does my boxer still scoot hers around while voraciously eating so the beagle won't get hers after he finishes his? Yes - but at least she's not turning it over like she did the last type and they do have some stuff on the bottom to keep them from sliding around as much. I had originally planned just to use one of these for the boxer - since the beagle's bowl still worked Ok but ... my wife threw his away since these match better LOL!

Perfect bowl set for two cats
We had issues with one of our cats tipping the water bowl over, along with moving the cat food bowl every day. The bowls were small with a worthless non skid material around the base. I found this bowl set and decided to give it a try. It has been a few months now and we have not had one instance of water on the floor. Neither one of the bowls have moved either. The bowls are large enough for both cat heads to fit in and eat or drink. The bowls clean up easily and match our stainless steel kitchen nicely. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed.

It's a dog bowl.
These work perfectly fine. The wide base prevents them from moving around on the floor and making a mess. They're dishwasher safe which is nice. They're probably too big if you have a toy breed however. I have a 20 lb mutt and I dog sit for an English bulldog the bowls work well for both dogs.

Tip proof for cats - no more 4 AM wakeup/cleanup calls
My knucklehead cats get their jollies by tipping their water and food bowls over at all hours of the day and night. I got the original food/water dishes from the SPCA when we got the first cat 18 months ago. Those smaller "cat sized" bowls flare out as they go up and have a lip on the top making it an ideal tipping target for both of our furry hooligans. It's not a lot of fun at 4AM when I KNOW what they are doing and I'm dragged out of bed doing clean up. That game is over. These new Amazon basics stainless bowls are more dog sized at 7 inches across the top and just under 10 inches across the base. In this case, bigger is better and while a dog might knock these bowls about, even our 10 pound tabby can't budge them. The bowls have a rubber grommet around the bottom and the cats can't get a grip to tip the bowls over - problem solved. See the attached photo for a shot of the furry clowns behaving for a change. For $10, this was a cheap and effective fix for delinquent bowl tipping cats.

Solid bowls for my pup
I bought this set for my Bichon Frise. She's not a big dog, but I didn't want tiny bowls for her. They are a great size and have a good weight to them. They clean up easily and do not get pushed around the tile floor in my kitchen.

Too large for my dogs, yet great quality
I needed a dog bowl for my foster dog, and ordered this set for its price. They were MUCH bigger than expected. (As a plus, I can put more water out at a time for my dogs?) I like that the rubbered edge keeps the bowls from sliding, but I wish there was a spot for my fingers to lift the bowl. It's hard to slide your fingers under the rubbered bottom to lift it up and place it down again without spilling water. (Maybe that's just me...)
