Since my hands are not strong, I need something that makes it easy to remove a cork from a wine bottle. The design of this corkscrew is perfect. It is even easy to remove the cork from the corkscrew with a simple pump of the lever. Brilliant.

This opener has been a game changer, it was exactly what I needed. I enjoy how the silver clip at the top comes off to easily open the seal around the cork, and the opener itself works great. You just place it over the neck, push the lever down and up, and you've got an open bottle! I've had it for a while now, and with regular use, it still works like new.

Great, Durable Corkscrew

We open a lot of wine bottles. Most vertical corkscrews are junk and don't last. After many months of use, this one is still working perfectly! The integrated foil cutter is a fantastic feature - especially after a few bottles have been opened, because you don't need to hunt for the foil cutter - it is attached! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Performs as Advertised

Had a LeverPull from ScrewPull for 20 years and it worked flawlessly until the inner mechanism snapped. Talk about great performance over a long period! Was planning to purchase another but didn't want to pay the $100 price so took a close look at the OXO lever product. Having had great success with other OXO products, decided to give this device a try. Glad I did. It works very well and at less than half the price of the LeverPull. Due to holiday parties and family gatherings, have used the OXO to open about 30 bottles of wine. Not a single problem. OXO comes through again.

Fantastic design, easy (low force) operation

I bought this to replace a "Rabbit" clone that finally broke into pieces. I love the way this sits on the bottle without having to hold it, and the lever action is super easy (especially important for me after hand surgery). The included foil cutter works well. My only wish would be for a method to store the extra screw on the device itself. I'll probably lose it.

Best corkscrew we've ever had requiring little force to remove cork

I've had several corkscrews and this by the far is the best, so much so I've been giving this for gifts. It requires far less effort than any we've used and once the cork is out by squeezing the handles you effortlessly remove the cork from the screw. The top piece that slides out to cut the foil around the cork typically requires you to move it around several times around the foil before it is cut and sometimes it's not completely cut but the cork screw will take care of the rest of the foil.. This is the only need for improvement I've seen and I've concluded after buying several Oxo products that I will trust the Oxo brand to give me a top quality product when choosing between different brands.

First serious opener and I LOVE it!

Finally decided to buy a better opener; did a lot of research and had a chance to use a "rabbit ears" styled opener at a friends. They work nice and I was leaning that way until I found this. I liked the color and that the foil cutter rode onboard. I'm simply impressed with how easy this is to use. Lift the handle, place it over the bottle and squeeze the base (doesn't take much pressure) and then lift, repeat off of the bottle to release the cork. Love it!

Another great OXO product.

Another smart and well designed product from OXO. Only used it for about a month but works great. Attached foil cutter is a great touch! Rabbit etc... must be kicking themselves. :)

Never going back to regular cork screws

This is great value for the price, especially when compared to similar corkscrews that have higher price point just because of some expensive-sounding brand name. It works great, super easy. Although I think my favorite part is the foil cutter! :-) For whatever reason I've always had the most trouble removing foils from the wine bottles, but no more! If I'd known how great this was I would've bought it sooner!

Not enough stars to give it!

We had two Houdini corkscrews which both died - bad construction - not terrible, just VASTLY inferior to this ASTONISHING device. This is the GOLD STANDARD of corkscrews. Easy, easy, easy to use - beautifully designed and built to last. Will sing the praises of OXO as well - we had a salt grinder that died after several years of use - they sent us a new one, no questions asked - super customer service too - real people on the phone - quick, positive response. This product however is a one-in-a-million. More money, but worth it. If you're looking for a corkscrew, look no farther.
