Just what I was looking for! I only use 3-4 knives and of those I probably use a kitchen knife 85% of the time. I like trying/buying different brands of knives and have a few relatively expensive ones I didn’t want to have the edges banging around in a drawer or to see if they’d fit in a random block. This is perfect....a good knife is like art to me and this showcases them nicely. The bamboo is really good quality and is sturdy. The magnet is strong and will hold knives in place nicely to as short as a steak knife. A pairing knife might be too short to not want to “tip over”. You can easily fit 4 chef knives on the block. Plenty of space for me but perhaps not for others? For those that said the block tips over when u pull a knife off....ugh!. Yes, it is true....if u grab a knife from the block towards you it will push the block over with it - - This is probably true of anything which has a surface area greater than a utility knife. The only way they could have designed this to not tip over and still posses a magnet strong enough would be to have some ugly looking feet out in front of the block. Unless u have this block under a cabinet all u have to do is pull up as opposed to towards, or god forbid hold the block while u pull towards....and really this just needs to be done for something larger than a utility product.

Whoever designed this, props to you. This knife holder is very beautiful, the magnet inside is EXTREMELY strong, it can hold a Chef's Knife with no issue, and it just looks so presentable. Friends or relatives coming over and you gotta cook? Show off your kitchen knives with this!

Bought this hold my chef knife collection and to be able to display them in the kitchen. This stand makes them look amazing sitting on my counter. The magnates are ok, on some of my knives they slide down on the stand until they hit the top of the block but the magnet holds them to the block and prevents them from falling off. When pulling a knife off you have to be careful to not tip over the stand if you have limited height to pull the knife vertical off the block. Overall happy with the knife holder

First, the knife block looks amazing in our kitchen. It currently holds 2 larger knifes, a pairing knife and a pair of scissors. The magnets are so strong that sometimes you pull the knife block towards you as you pull off a knife. It is very well built and a nice addition to our kitchen.

We have several expensive Wustoff kitchen knives and throwing them in the drawer with the rest of the utensils was tearing them up, but I have a ceramic backsplash on my kitchen wall and really didn't want to drill thru it to hang a magnetic knife holder. This knife holder is exactly what we needed. Its very elegant and matches the decor of our kitchen, but more importantly it really works. Now all our knives are safe and sound and stay sharp a lot longer.

This is awesome for reducing countertop clutter. Since I don't keep small appliances and kitchen/cooking items on the countertop, this more compact knife holder is easy to move from my concealed cabinet to the prep island only during use. Since I only use four or five task specific knives on a regular basis, my bread knife and meat cleaver are safely stored in a drawer for their seldom uses. I think what many people struggle with is that they are accustomed to keeping knives, small appliances and utensils out on a cluttered countertop. If that's your thing, you should stick with the quintessential knife block that stores even the seldom used steel honing tool. I have purchased two more of this magnetic knife holders for gifts, and it has changed the knife practice of each gift recipient.

I bought a Japanese White 1 carbon steel 210mm Gyoto and a blue 2 carbon steel knifes Nakiri 165mm I believe in Kansai. Due to the need to keep them dry(not stainless steel) I didnt want to use a block. I was fearful this would not hold them well. Sharp is an understatement. Knocking these off could be very bad. This block is very strong on these knifes. It was a bit smaller than I had expected. As you can see the 240mm would likely be too long. Most people are going to be at the 210mm or shorter. You will likely only fit 3 knives on here. Quality seems to be very good for a pressed bamboo. I am very happy with this as they put these in a secure accessible reach. Good finish and compact so it will sit back on the counter well.

This magnetic knife block has a nice bamboo exterior hiding magnets that hold my knives perfectly. I had an issue with my paring knife due to the shallow, longer slope on the bolster. This bolster design combined with the weight of the handle allowed the knife to slide down and off the block. I fixed the issue by adding a piece of wood to the face of the block (see my photo) to stop this specific blade from sliding down. This is not an issue for my other knives, as they have a normal, steep bolster design.

I love this knife holder. I bought it to replace a wooden knife block. The blocks scare me because there could easily be many types of bacteria hiding inside. With this, blades are in the open but secured to the wood with a magnet. The magnet holds strong and I've never had a knife fall from the holder. I don't have to worry about the edges of my knives getting knicked up like can happen when they are stored in a drawer or when you remove them from those magnetic strips you can attach to the wall. The wood keeps the blades safe. Plus, it looks great on my counter.

I really like the compact size of this knife block, but it’s still big enough to hide a few daily kitchen items behind the board. The knives have been up for a week and have not fallen down. Even the shears (which won’t lay totally flat bc of the connector piece in the middle) feel very secure. I have no trouble getting the knives off the block as long as I pull up on the handles instead of pulling straight towards myself. The chef knife is a little sticky, but it has a lot more metal in contact with the board. For size reference, the knives on the board are 3.5 inch paring knife, 5 inch utility, 5.5 inch Santoku, and 8 inch chef. If I put them closer together, I could fit 1 more. And if my handles weren’t flared, maybe even 2 more.
