This is a very well-made card reader at a great price. I actually picked it up so I could test my credit card so you know how sometimes go to McDonald's or Hardee's or wherever and they can't seem to swipe your card this is a great way to prove whether or not at the problem is your card or their reader

Quality at a Fair Price

I needed a quick solution to reading information off of a magnetic strip for a product I use to take meeting attendance. This unit, while relatively inexpensive, performs exceptionally well at reading information from a card quickly. It is made of a durable plastic and has an overall sturdy construction. I recommend this to anyone looking for a low-cost card reader for their projects, work, etc.

Is there software to configure the reader

This worked perfectly right out of the box and is truly plug and play. It is working with my credit card processing application I am working on. There were no instructions and I was thinking the reader was configurable, still looking...

fast and what I expected

Good buy!!!

I replaced a broken device with this one. It is 1/3 the price and works the exact same... - The cord is MUCH longer on this one vs my old unit.
