This is a rather simple but efficient solution for opening wine bottles. It came with brief instruction on how to use it, which helped in operating it successfully from the first attempt. It does not require much physical strength. This is a good product which is reasonably priced.

First bottle of wine I used it on was not that good. After contacting the seller, I just had not pumped it enough, very hard cork in that bottle. All the other wine bottles it has worked great. That first cork was very dry and I even broke it with my screw type extractor trying to get it out. I would buy them again, they work great, just use a little more pressure pumps on extra dry corks that are hard to remove.

This thing works great ! I required a couple of times to sorta get used to it and figure it out but it's now the opener I grab first. the little moveable collar at the end confused me a bit some corks work better than others Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

This product worked exactly as advertised for opening a regular bottle of wine. What I didn't know at the time of ordering (didn't read very closely) is that it's not designed for rubber corks or for sparkling wine. I used it the first day on a bottle of red and opening was much easier than other products I've used. My electric opener won't keep a charge which is why I was in the market for a new, non-electric, one. I'll still try it on rubber cork and sparkling wine, and will see what happens.

I have some arthritis in my hands and this makes it so much easier for me to open a bottle of wine. I Love this! Update: I also bought another one for my elderly neighbor who loves his wine but has a hard time opening the bottle. This was perfect for him and he was also impressed with this product. I highly recommend this amazing invention!

Very good bottle opener. Don't pump too fast or too much or you will get a pop like opening champagne!

This was a great idea that should have worked without a problem. However there's a one way valve that seemed to be either stuck or installed the wrong way. After inserting the needle in the cork, all I could get was one pump before the thing locked up. When I took it out of the cork it worked fine with the needle pointed up but NOT down so it just didn't work. Hoping to get a replacement. I like the idea and it should work. This one just had a manufacturing problem. I used my DeVine- two prong opener instead. No problem. I still enjoyed the wine.Dr Fred Rouse, CFP UPDATED REVIEW: AFTER POSTING MY ORIGINAL REVIEW ABOVE, I WAS CONTACTED BY THE SELLER. I didn't think my original review was bad... just that they had some minor manufacturing/quality control problems. The seller was exceptionally gracious and responsive and shipped me an upgraded replacement unit. This works as described. It takes a little getting used to. As you pump the unit, the cork comes slightly out of the bottle and then POPS similar to opening Champagne but without that full amount of force. I'm happy with the opener and exceptionally happy that someone actually cares about customer service. Any wine person always has multiple openers. This should be one of them.

Way easier than struggling trying to pry a cork out with a traditional cork screw . Just insert the needle straight into the cork and pump a few times with your hand over the apparatus until the cork starts to work out , then another pump or two , and pop, the cork is in your hand . The little thing for cutting the top of the foil off the bottle is very slick too. This is the easiest way to open wine I have ever seen , short of having the waiter do it .

The Ziz makes it as easy to open wine as it is in a fancy restaurant, plus the pressure comes from pumping rather than having to get a CO2 cartridge. In spite of their statement that it shouldn't be used on plastic corks, I used it for a artificial cork that turned out to be solid plastic. It was no trouble to remove the cork; it may have a tiny air hole because, unlike cork, the plastic didn't fill in when I removed the needle, but it seems to work well. Using the Ziz made cutting the foil much easier, followed by taking about 10 seconds and little effort to open the wine bottle. This is much easier than using a corkscrew or a "sommelier's friend," and left the cork in better shape than using a corkscrew. Definitely worth the low price!

I make my own wine and have many, many corked bottles. I have many cork removers of all kinds and sizes. Some are complicated devices and some are more simple and I never thought I would be amazed until I actually used this wine bottle cork remover from Wine Ziz. It is the MOST simple device I have ever used and it removed my bottle cork in mere seconds without no more than 5 pumps of the handle. Simply Amazing. The satisfaction of hearing that extremly loud “Pop” when the cork comes out of the bottle all by its self (no pulling, no screwing of a corkscrew) is extremely satisfying. I hate to say this, but its almost makes me ashamed to use my expensive cork removers now that I have this 12 dollar one. I will be giving these as gifts for sure.
