I have an older mattress that is 7 inches high. It's almost impossible to get bedding to fit. I purchased this Mattress Protector hoping it would hug the mattress and not slip around during the night like many others have in the past. I sleep with dogs so I need waterproof! As always, one of my dogs started licking his paw almost immediately after I put this on the bed. No moisture went through to the mattress. The sides are stretchy enough so that they hug the mattress firmly enough not to slip during the night. Wonderful! I'll definitely buy again!

Follow the directions when washing & drying!

These work perfectly, even with larger amounts of liquid (i.e., urine). The liquid absolutely does NOT seep through and the mattress stays dry, night after night. Unless you don't launder the protector as directed. My daughter washed the mattress protector and put it in the dryer on high. The next night, all the wetness soaked right through. Also worth mentioning: this product is extremely absorbant and holds a lot of liquid. It becomes very heavy in the washing machine and occasionally causes the load to become unbalanced on the spin cycle. (I have an HE top load washing machine.)

Excellent Value

Very pleased with this item. Top is soft with an attractive design. Water resistant (hesitate to say waterproof) backing is pliable, reasonably breathable and not noisy like some others. Side elastic is generous and easily accommodated 14" of mattress + topper. Also appears to be well constructed; time will tell. Cover does not offer much additional padding - nor was it expected. Note the low friction surface does not 'grip' the sheet inevitability leading to some extra wrinkles and possible bunching if sheets are oversized. Overall a satisfying purchase; will likely grab several more for our other beds. Update: after a few months these protectors continue to perform well. I especially enjoy the easy of removal/installation as the side elastic is generous but not overly aggressive. We had a few warmer (not hot) nights in recent weeks. So far no issues with breathability. Will update as needed.

Add this to your baby registry!

I have a new baby, and I cannot tell you how often this has saved our mattress. Leaky diaper? No worries! A fountain of spit-up? No worries! Mama waking up with her shirt soaked in breast milk? No worries! Postpartum bleeding that escaped the diaper-sized pads they give you? No worries! Dog vomit? No worries! Again- this protector has saved our mattress. It washes well and seems stain resistant. (After what we have put it through, how can it still not have a stain?!?) The fabric feels like fabric- not plastic. You can't even tell it is on the mattress. I am a big fan.

Great Mattress Protection for Hot Sleepers Without being Bulky

I am a hot sleeper. I needed a mattress protector due to my grand fur baby jumping on the bed to nap with grandma. I try to keep a cover sheet over the entire bed but his nesting gets him down to the bottom sheet while I'm sleeping. This mattress protector rocks! I don't even notice it on the bed. Someone asked in the questions if you can see the print through the sheets. The answer is yes if you have a thin white sheet; heavier or colored sheets, no. I washed and dried this before use. It came out of the washer looking good. It took quite a while in the dryer on low to dry, but again it came out looking great.

Was skeptical of the other reviews where people received this free or at a discount.

When I read all of the reviews for this product I was very dubious due to the fact that almost all of them seemed to have received the product free in return for an "unbiased" review. This always makes me skeptical, but I thought I would give it a try since it was so inexpensive. I even kept the package for about a week just in case I wanted to return it. To my surprise, I did not even notice I was sleeping on a mattress pad. Some of them move around or sleep hot but not this one. We have a memory foam mattress that tends to sleep hot and this has definitely made a difference. Cannot beat it especially for the price.

Holds up to Toddler accidents!

I have two toddlers so a good mattress protector is a must. This one is perfect. It has a plastic backing but it does NOT make a crinkle sound. The top is soft and comfy. It is not a full case but fits on like a fitted sheet. However, it is extra wide and long so it does not come loose of come off like some fitted sheets do. It is very thick which is great for the added protection. I have had to wash mine a few times now in the washing machine, due to accidents in the bed, and it is still holding up well and shows no signs of wear. Best part, after an accident there was no sign of the pee getting onto the mattress. This is worth the money and really isn't even that expensive! All I can say, buy it!

So far, so perfect!

First off let me say when we bought our mattress from a reputable furniture store we had to buy their very expensive mattress cover to ensure we found have the 30 day exchange if we disliked the mattress. It was expensive like $250 expensive!! My husband hated it, you could feel the ridges through the mattress and it rustled...ugh. We did end up exchanging our mattress but no way did my husband want the cover back on, months went by with me afraid of buying another until I noticed a few small coffee spills on our new mattress, not good! Went to trust Amazon and came across this one. I immediately bought it after perusing the comments, I mean the price was right so why not try?! The cover was done in the same cover as Bamboo pillows, it's light sift cotton with a small diamond shape "quilted" in but thankfully you do not feel it through the sheets. The plastic waterproof backing is very pliable so it does not make any noise when laying in it. I washed it first thing and put it on timed dryer for 50 minutes with no issues(other comments mentioned it taking forever to dry) I put it on the bed without my husband's knowledge to see if he would notice and he didn't! It was perfect! We stayed cool, no rustle sounds and completely comfortable like it wasn't even there which is what a good cover should do!

Paid full price for this item. I use a foam mattress that sleeps hot, not to mention due to our old house’s weird bedroom layout, we had to put the bed over a vent, so hot air still sleeps into the mattress despite the vents being covered. I used to sleep on the floor sometimes during winter because it got so hot. Then I got this mattress protector, and not only it helped with protecting from my puppy’s accidents, but it also literally made me sleep so much better due to the cooling properties. It is not loud and doesn’t make rustling sounds. And yes, it’s protected my mattress from actual puppy accidents.

This mattress protector is all around great. It does everything it claims to do. I've had many other cheap feeling mattress protectors that take away from the comfort of my mattress. This one does not. It soft and great quality. The king size fits my king bed perfectly. In your typically mattress store they sell protectors like this for at least 5 times the price. I would 100% recommend this product.
