I really like this one. I looked at dozens and finally decided on a simple one. This one does everything I needed. Plays CD-G, connects easily to my phone for the millions of YouTube karaoke videos, and the sound is strong. I did purchase a 2nd mic for duets. You can easily use this as a PA system too. The disco lights turn off. Very happy with it.

My first karaoke machine and experience! - UPDATED!

This is an amazing unit that has done better than I could have hoped. It plays the karaoke cd+g disks perfectly, with the song titles and lyrics displaying on the built in LCD screen. It included a single wired microphone, cables to connect to a television (and home audio system) and a cd+g disk with 5 songs. This unit is quite light and easy to move around. The LED light display on the front can be turned on or off. I love to sing with so many songs and truly enjoy karaoke, especially with no one around to hear me sing but myself... LoL I am actually singing closer to tone since getting this machine. This unit puts out an amazing amount of sound. The built in speakers are weak on the bass due to size, but over all, the unit still sounds good. The unit itself is a bit "plastic" feeling and could probably be damaged if not taken care of, but it is lasting and doing quite well for my purposes. I will edit and update this review soon. I do recommend this unit.Akai KS780-BT Bluetooth CD&G Karaoke System, Black Update - I love listening to the music on Amazon Prime using an Echo DOT! I had been using a cord from the audio out jack on the Echo DOT and plugging that into the RCA jacks on this Akai Karaoke machine. Well, the audio out jack on the Echo DOT became intermittent and noisy working with the cable. This appears to be a common problem with the Echo DOT units. I remembered reading that the Echo DOT has blue tooth function built in. I was easily able to link the Echo DOT to this Akai Karaoke machine with blue tooth. I am able to listen to crystal clear music again! I would add more stars to the review if it was possible. The Amazon Echo Dot works perfectly with the blue tooth on this unit. Great purchase

I highly recommend this karaoke machine. I ordered it just for fun to sing, drink some wine, and hang with my friends. It's a fun time. The lights and bluetooth are awesome, sound is good, and the CD that comes with it is fun. I mostly just hook my iPad up to it and YouTube karaoke songs. Get it.

Works great!

My girls love to sing and do karaoke so this was an awesome gift for them. It was easy for my girls to figure out how to turn it on and adjust it how they want it. I am very pleased.
