Great gift for anyone with a trailer
I went out to my garage to pull my boat out and found one of the tires flat. I put the spare on and the day was a success. When I got back I found a good size nail in the tire. I am a mountain biker, I have used plugs to fix holes in my tubeless tires, I figured there had to be a similar solution. First stop Amazon, I found the Boulder Tools Tire Repair kit and gave it a shot. High quality kit, tools are sturdy and well designed for the task at hand, they give you lots of extra plugs. It took me more time to open the box from Amazon then it did to plug the tire. I filled it up put some soapy water around it to check for leaks, none found. Saved me a trip to a shop to have the work done, this kit now travels with me, I have a small air compressor in my car so if I had a flat on the road or at a destination I could easily fix it and be up and running again without having to take the tire off.

Top quality; built to last
I bought this tire repair kit as I finished up another, cheaper kit that I had in the toolbox after fixing a punctured tread on my car. It's always good to have a kit on hand for occasions like this. The big difference between this kit and the ones I had been using is the quality of the tools and the completeness of the set. The reamer and plugging tool are really top notch. I've had cheaper, plastic models break on me. These are not those kind. These are rugged and built to last. There's quite a supply of plug strings, so this kit will last me years.

Nice kit. Has everything to repair a tire from ...
Nice kit. Has everything to repair a tire from a hole to bad valve core. Plug quality is far better than the slime kit wally world sells, but not as good as blue seal or whatever that one is. The tool are pretty heavy duty and under normal use should last a lifetime, minus the needles. The needles will eventually bend or break, but can easily be purchased and replaced. Don't use this to plug a hole in the sidewall as the tire will just tear and become permanently damaged. Only patch sidewall. If hole is on very edge of tread where it meets sidewall you can use this kit, but at your own risk as the sidewall can still tear. Well worth the money.

You never know when it will happen
I ordered this repair kit just prior to going on a trip with my son. I really never get flats, but on this trip the 2nd day while driving in Yosemite to Glacier point there was some work being done to remove trees from a recent fire. Somehow we picked up a bolt from I'm assuming from the area where the work was being done. I wasn't sure what I should do so since it was still holding air I just left it in. The next day while we were driving down the highway the bolt blew out and the tire went flat quickly. Pulled off to the side of the road and used this kit to repair the tire. This was my first time doing a repair of this type. We removed the wheel so we could easily access the repair area and followed the instructions and did the repair. It seemed to work!! We had a compressor to pump it up and off we went. Total time was less than 40 min start to finish. Our spare was not the same size so this was our first choice. After a couple hundred miles the tire was loosing a little bit of air. At our next gas stop we pumped it up again but could hear a slight hiss. We removed the plug and installed a new one. Next day tire was slightly low on pressure again. We were in SLC at the time so I went looking for a tire store to do a permanent repair. Found Discount Tires and went in to see if they would fix it. They said no because I had "comprised the tire by putting in the plug". BS. They have now lost any chance of getting any future business from me. I called my tire guy in CA and he said it could certainly be repaired. I figured I would just have to nurse it along pumping up the tire at every gas stop until I could get to a place that would honestly do the repair. While in the parking lot at Discount Tires I used the kit again to shove in a second plug and and see if that would help. I had nothing to lose. Our next destination was Moab UT. I was sure that I would find a tire shop there experienced to this type of repair. On that leg of the journey we didn't loose any air pressure. The next cold morning the tire was still holding air. I had arranged to take it to a tire shop in town, but decided to wait and see. The entire rest of the trip of 600 plus miles and a good 3 hrs of off roading the tire held pressure. I will have it fixed permanently, but it has been over a week with no loss of pressure and I'm thoroughly pleased. It was a good size bolt in the tire, not a simple puncture. I'm very impressed with this repair kit. I'm so glad I had it along for this trip.

There are much cheaper options, but this gives you more.
I was reluctant to buy this; it's quite a bit more expensive than some others, and it's almost too complete (did I REALLY need to buy another pair of needle-nosed pliers?). I finally bit because it seemed to promise a heavier-duty solution for thorns in my tractor tires; I felt like the wimpy strings in some cheap kits would not fill the holes I face. Got it, used it within days, and was very pleased; the process was simple, the heavy string was reassuring (and worked in a large thorn hole), and I guess having everything in one box was a bit of a plus--I didn't have to go get the needle-nosed from somewhere else. Some things, like the knife, aren't impressively made but are totally functional. So, more expensive than the lighter-duty or less-complete options--but less expensive, faster and more convenient than a single commercial tractor tire repair. Before you use it, check that the set screws on the handles are tight; don't play superman and strip them out, but do see that they're snug or you might take a pull on the reamer and find yourself with just a handle in your hand.

Finally, a descent tire plug kit
Perfect, absolutely perfect! This kit has everything you need to satisfy your tire dilemma. I purchased a similar kit years ago, still have it, but I have to bring a pliers seperate. What I'm trying to say is there was just enough room for the plugs and the two tools, thats all. This kit has all the "goodies" and then some. Maybe one of my best purchases on Amazon. Boulder Tools... you guys rock! Oh yeah, I have been telling all my mechanic buddies and there's alot.

As the name says, this tool is "heavy duty". Before I purchased this, whenever I had a puncture, I'd always have to borrow from a neighbor. I'd always marveled at how heavy duty (to say nothing of how simple and easy it is to make a repair) this tool was. I've repaired tractor/loader tires with thick, heavy lugs. This tool makes it very easy/inexpensive to repair. Paid for itself (many times over) the 1st time I used it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Excellent kit! Tighten the T handle before use!!!!
This kit is exactly like the one my dad had when I was growing up and it always worked great. Just plugged a hole from a screw and everything worked great. *make sure you tighten the T handle first mine poops right off first use! But the great thing is they send you Allen wrentchws for the T handle and everything. Extra stems and caps and all. The needle nose plyers are even ok quality. All in all fantastic kit. My only negative things to say are tighten the T handle and the plugs are so sticky you can barely get them out of the packageing. But hey that's how there supposed to be.

Quality Tools
The kit is everything that was said on the website. It is heavy duty and all the items that I saw where quality items. Hate to say it but I hope don't have to use the kit anytime soon but at least I know this equipment is much better than my old equipment and I don't have to worry about anything breaking. Should make my job at little easier with the heavy duty tools. 10/20/17 Still have not used the kit yet...
