Got these as feeding tongs for my puffers and I really enjoy the set. Nice quality and have stood up to strong bites from puffer beaks. Disinfects easily and has a strong “pinch”

These have been excellent for me. I have a 36 gallon tank and a 75 gallon tank. I find myself using the longest tweezers more than any other, to save my arms from being submerged up to my armpits when plants come loose or have to be rearranged. This was a great buy for me. Very sturdy, very helpful for aquarists.

These tongs are great!! They're actually 18.9", like advertised!! Finally I can feed my over-anxious axolotl without submerging my hand into the tank! I use the straight edge for the axie & the bent edge to work things around my tarantula's cage, without getting bit! 😉 At first the tongs seem a little cumbersome, due to the long length.. but after some practice, they work great!! My hands & fingers thank you!!

These forceps have been incredibly handy time after time in my reef aquarium. Hard to find good instruments that are as long as these. They're especially useful when I want to tweak something without necessarily dipping my arm in up to the armpit. Very little rust so far as well, which is nice.

These tweezers are very long and work like they should. Obviously, you can't move 10 lb rocks around with them but that's not what they're designed for. They do keep your hands dry unless you have to go to the very bottom of our 120g reef tank. Make sure you rinse them off after use. No rust or issues so far tho. As a humorous side note, these 2 tweezers arrived in a box from Amazon almost big enough to pack a Honda Civic in. I had NO clue what I'd ordered when I saw the box until I opened it.

PRODUCT: Lily's straight and bent stainless steel super thick tweezers I originally got these to plant some plants in deep, narrow, crowded nano-tank. However, they've also proven so useful for working in my other tanks that I now consider them an essential part of my aquarium gear. The tweezers themselves are sturdy and grab things well, though of course, being so long and thin they won't grab things the way a pair of pliers would. People who have complained about the grabbing abilities need to realize that that's just the nature of the tool. In response to other complaints, I never dry mine off and I've had no problems with corrosion or rusting from using them in my freshwater tanks. If you're wondering whether to buy just one pair of tweezers or spend a little more on this set, I find that both the straight and bent ones are needed for different situations, and they work even better when you use them together.

Thick gauge stainless steel keeps the instrument rigid despite the length. This allows precise manipulation and control, from the heavy pressure of moving stones to the delicate pressure of adjusting plants. The length is very convenient for placing food tablets on the substrate, precisely where I want to, without my hand [or too much of it] getting into the water. For a 20H tank, it's perfect. For a 55 you still need to immerse your hand, but not significantly. I am considering a separate pair for a hospital tank. to immerse your hand

Great set of tools. Very long, and easy to work in my tank without getting my hands too wet. If you're just starting out and plan on having real plants in your aquarium, you really need to get a set of these tools. Planting without them is an exercise in futility.

Excellent for ridding my property of scorpions. They are long enough to keep me out of harms way and sturdy enough to pierce the exoskeleton. Then you simply pick them up and dispose of the carcass in the trash.

I bought the 18" tools, wanting them to be long enough that I wouldn't have to put my hands in the tank. Let me tell you, they are HUGE! I was not expecting them to be so big and just about fell over when I unboxed them.......H-U-G-E! I thought, oh no, they're too big to do fine work in the tank, why did I get the big ones?!? I was wrong, however. They work just fine for whatever I've wanted to do. The curved tip pair seem to be the most helpful for most tasks, but it's nice to have both. Even though they're very big, the metal is strong so they don't bend or give. Storing them can be an issue due to their size. If you have deep aquariums or if you just don't want to run and wash your hands up to your elbows every time you have to do something at the bottom of the tank, these are for you! Just be prepared when you open the box, they're MONSTERS!
