❤️❤️😋😋100% Approved- By This Coffee Snob
Confession- I'm a coffee snob- Seattle born and raised....The only reason I even was tempted to buy these "off brand" pods was because of the great reviews- and the taste of these totally exceeded my expectations. You get an intense flavor, even in the not-so-bold roasts. Even though these are affordable they are not cheap! I like the darker flavors personally and Ristretto is my favorite out of this sampler, but I still will keep ordering the sampler because it is very nice to offer my guests options while entertaining.

Perfect - at least as good as Nespresso
I was very curious if these would taste as good as the Nespresso products. I grew up in Europe and am a coffee snob. These are FABULOUS! Do not hesitate to buy! We have only tried four flavors so far, but they are absolutely perfect. The capsules work well in our Nespresso machine. Now all I need is a nice holder to put the little cups in, with labels so our AirBnB guests know which coffee is which. That is the only advantage of the Nespresso square tubes, you can leave them in the tube and people can see what kind of coffee they are grabbing.

... on a amazon lightning deal and so far so good and worth the price
I caught these on a amazon lightning deal and so far so good and worth the price. Coffee seems to be a little weaker than the orig but I am also keeping in mind that I didn't pay what the "others" cost. These have worked flawlessly so far in my machine. People just need to keep in mind to keep expectations realistic....you don't buy a 20k car and expect it to perform like a 80k corvette do you? I will be buying these again.

Budget priced Nespresso that you'll love!
You're reading these reviews because you want to find a more affordable option to the actual Nespresso brand capsules. Who can blame you? The real ones made by Nespresso cost between 70¢ and $1. If you ask me, that's pretty expensive for a cup of coffee you make at home! Here's the longer story, done (slightly) shorter... If you've ever tasted a Nespresso Kazaar capsule, you've tasted the single most delicious cup of espresso that you're likely to ever have - AT HOME. If you think you're likely to replicate that with any other brand, I wish you the best of luck and happy hunting. Fact is, the Nespresso capsules have achieved something that none of the rest have been able to replicate - YET. Smoothness and richness of flavor without that burnt, over-roasted taste that you so often find with many espresso blends. I can tell you without any hesitation, if you've never had a Nespresso capsule, you will think these taste AMAZING. But this isn't a Nespresso capsule review, it's a Bestpresso review for the 01, 02, 03, 04, 06 & 07 capsules. There are very minor differences in all 6 of these roasts, but one thing remains constant throughout all of them. There is a pervasive over-roasted flavor, that I'm assuming is there to give you the impression of a more sophisticated blend. I can assure you that you will not mistake these for a ripoff of the Nespresso branded coffees. I can however tell you, the differences between the blends are so minor, that you may not be able to distinguish one from the other. With all of that said, I have brewed the Bestpresso espresso capsules with the proper amount of water, the lungo capsules with the proper amount of water and the ristretto using the Nespresso recommended 15 second brew-time. I can tell you without any hesitation that there is an AMAZING crema on every single blend. I can tell you without any hesitation that every capsule I've used (over 20 at this point) has brewed consistently, producing the same quantity of coffee each and every time. I've had no stuck capsules, no false starts, no under-pours either. If you are looking for a budget friendly, fresh cup of espresso, that not only tastes great but also gives you a great buzz, you will love this coffee! For completeness, I am using a 2017 model Nespresso Inissia by DeLonghi - AND I LOVE IT! I came from an unsatisfying Keurig 2.0 environment and can't even THINK about having another cup made by that thing. I can tell you with a high level of certainty, the bad reviews for Bestpresso capsules were more than likely made by coffee-snobs or serious connoisseurs of gourmet coffees. Those people should stick with the $3,000 double-boiler machines. If all you want is an excellent cup of espresso, and you're not out to compare every sip with every other type/brand of coffee in the known universe, Bestpresso's Gourmet Coffee Capsules will make you very happy! I will definitely be buying these again... Happy Sipping! ^_^ UPDATE: I've now been through more than 90 capsules and I can assure you that every single cup you make will be as fresh, aromatic and correct sized as the first! The other thing that I want to go on record as saying, is I've been through the 16-pack of samples that Nespresso gives you when you purchase the Nespresso and only 3 of them were EXCELLENT. The other 13 all had a bitter-Starbucks type of flavor. If you don't like the bitterness in Starbucks coffee, you'll love the Bestpresso capsules. With that said, the Arabica blend (#03) is the only one with ANY bitterness and it's very minor. I still stand by my original review 100% and will continue to buy these as long as the price is right! :)

These taste great to me
There are so many reviews on this product that it's hard to know what to make of them. Everything from one star reviews where the reviewer thought the product was downright awful to the five star reviews saying they are fantastic. Because people are writing reviews based on their tastes and personal preferences, you can only learn so much about whether you are going to like this product until you try it. At the current price, they are less than half the price of the OEM Nespresso capsules. I think it's outrageous for Nestle to charge .70 for one capsule of espresso. They just aren't worth that much, especially if you go through 3-4 of these a day. I have tried comparing these capsules to the OEMs on several mornings now and I really can't tell the difference. That being said, I'm a cappuccino drinker, so I'm mixing almost equal amounts of milk and coffee together, which may somewhat hide any minor flaws in the brew. If I was an expert espresso drinker and could tell the fine nuances between brands, I may find the differences more distinct. But as far as I can tell, if you are buying these capsules to make beverages where you are mixing in other ingredients like milk, cream, sugar, chocolate syrup, etc., you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between these and the OEM capsules. Given the low price, I say give them a try for yourself and ignore the negative reviews. I think they are just fine, and every bit as good as the OEM versions (with my foamed milk in them).

Good value. They work almost perfectly.
I have to say, these aftermarket capsules are pretty good; especially considering the price difference compared to Nespresso. We liked the taste of these, though I think some of the Nespresso flavors are more potent. One thing we did notice pretty consistently was that our Pixie struggles to push water through them. It doesn't seem to be due to the cup itself. In fact, unlike some other knock-offs, these cups work exactly like the real ones: they use foil on the top and the cup doesn't collapse when pierced. Perhaps the contents are packed too tightly. Tapping the cup on the counter before putting it in might have helped a bit. We bought some more official Nespresso cups to compare again, so we'll see how that goes. EDIT: the Nespresso cups work fine, so it's not the Pixie. These cups do flow slowly for some reason. Comparing a used Nespresso cup to a used Bestpresso cup, I don't see anything that would affect the flow this much. The foil bursts open just fine. The bottom of the cups do work a bit differently. The Nespresso cups are pierced while the Bestpresso cups have tabs that pop open when pressed inward. They seem to open up plenty. I'm not sure what is causing the flow issue, exactly. I can also confirm that the Nespresso cups are generally more flavorful. All that said, these are still a great value and I will buy them again.

First time was unimpressive, but giving a second chance.
UPDATED REVIEW #2 (March 26, 2019): I received a fresh box of pods on Friday and enjoyed them greatly. Comparing them to actual Nespresso pods and found to be identical. I recommend these pods, and I rescind my negative response from a month ago. Also, I appreciate Bestpresso's great customer service. UPDATED REVIEW #1 (March 15, 2019): I am very impressed by Bestpresso's commitment to quality and great customer service. They contacted me after my negative review (see below). I am going to give them another try... a company that is so committed to quality definitely deserves another chance. Watch for my update in a few weeks. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I do not recommend these pods for the following reasons: 1) I am not a coffee snob, but found the coffee from these to tasted bad, very low grade coffee. 2) the pods are plastic and a little undersized, so they don't reliably get punctured in the Nespresso and you get a mess. My recommendation is to pay the extra for Nespresso brand pods or find a better alternate source than these (like Trader Joes).

Forget Nestle--these are great!
Everyone that tries these in my home LOVES them! The range of flavors/intensities allows there to be something good for everyone, and every cup is perfect, rich, and delicious. Why buy these instead of the official Nestle brand? MANY reasons. 1. They cost less and taste just as good 2. Nestle is notoriously evil. Look up what they do to communities--they take water in areas with severe drought for pennies and resell that water, while people IN that community have to make sacrifices and conserve water. They have even sued cities to achieve these goals, and have been found negligent in following best environmental practices globally. If you can avoid this brand, do. 3. This is sustainable coffee in support of small coffee producers 4. Over 50% Rainforest Alliance Certified. It's not 100%, but it sure is better than Nestle's in terms of this, and is better than many companies. Give it a try--I have ordered the big variety pack twice already!

Taste is great for less than 1/3 nespresso
Just purchased a Mixpresso espresso machine and am using these coffee pods. I am very happy with the coffee I get from these decently priced and varied coffee flavors. No problems with fall throughs or failures and while they don’t seem to have as much crema as nespresso they are also less than a third of the cost. I returned my nespresso vertuo machine after a quick trial. I wasn’t thrilled with the variety of coffees nor did I like having to purchase direct from the company with free shipping only available on orders over $50. Making them the most costly pods plus a hefty shipping fee unless you ordered a large amount each order. With this I order the pods I want and they are delivered via prime within 2 days. Also they claim to regularly have special pricing. I make these espressos all day without feeling that I used half of a ten pack of pods. My first order included 120 pods at $39.99. 30 pods for the price of one sleeve of ten nespresso pods. Coffee is strong and a nice variety. Try this and only go to nespresso if you feel that you need to spend much more for your home brew espresso.

Tastes Great, Fresh and Aromatic.
The coffee tastes great. I was a bit concerned of the quality since this is considered a cheaper alternative to the traditional Nespresso coffee pods. Honestly, as far as the coffee goes, it tastes great. The flavor is very vivid and the texture is excellent. Not to mention there is a good amount of crema on top. The packaging presentation is great as well. The little boxes the pods are contained in are very durable and visually appealing. Each of the six boxes contains six different flavors. Each box contains two individual bags, each containing ten pods. The bags can also be easily resealed to keep the coffee fresh. There are only two cons I can think of: 1. Unlike the traditional Nespresso pods, the Bestpresso pods are plastic rather than aluminium. At times the machine has a difficult time puncturing through the plastic and the coffee brews very slowly as a result. 2. When you first open the bags the pods are contained in, you get a strong aroma of coffee. My concern is the pods are not sealed properly and the coffee may be getting a bit stale. The pods are most likely not sealed completely and may not last as long as the typical Nespresso pods.
