I have been using spill Pill Pockets for several years now. At, this point, they are available in various formats - capsule, or tablet. They are also available in various flavored, to provide various tasty alternatives for your pet. For years, it was necessary to corner or hold the dog tightly, wrench the jaws of the the terrified and squirmy pet open, and attempt to jam the medication deep into the throat of the struggling and unhappy pet. Pet Poclets were a very timely, necessary, and far less stressful and cruel method to medicate your pet. The various flavored seem to have filled all of my dogs with major excitement, and the convenient variation in size is extremely well thought out. I highly recommends all versions of this product. It is even possible to use smaller bits and pieces of a poll pocket for a smaller or larger tablet of capsule. The texture is similar to cookie dough, making it quite simple, as well as pleasant to give your pet it's necessary medical treatments. What a relief - just press the medication into the necessary amount needed of the pill pocket, press the medication into the dough, cover the medication with the remaining portions of the pill pocket, as needed, ant present to your excited and happy pet. There will be mo more bitten or scraped fingers for the pet owner. And there will be no more chewed-upon fingers to nurse after each dosage of medication. For the pet, this is a tremendous improvement - no more terrifying encounters ar medication time" sore throats caused by jamming the pill harshly down the throat of the pet. This is the modern, and far more enlightened and humane, method for treating your pet in when medication is necessary.mthe flvors seem to be quite attractive to your pet, and do not smell horrdlr, leaving an unpleasant reminder of the medication upon your fingers after the treatment. I have fostered and adopted many dogs, and this product is an extremely sensiblle, and pleasant manner to treat you right pets. a warm, non-stressful,

These pill pockets for capsules are bigger than the one for tablets so they fit my dogs medication well. I tried cheaper brands but they were either too small or too hard and my dog was able to bite pockets in a way so that she could get to the tablets and spit them out. Greenies are soft so I stuff the tablet inside and can close the top so that the tablet is incapsulated completely. My dog now thinks these are treats and is eager for her mediation twice a day. Which is fine with me! Not only has giving our dog medication become so much easier but she also thinks she's being rewarded. We have all the flavors on monthly "subscribe" so we save even more money using Amazon Prime and no worries in running out!

My Siberian Husky had to receive an amputation surgery of one of her legs due to a cancerous tumor that was growing on her paw. Getting her to take any kind of medicine was going to be impossible not only because she was in pain but nauseous from both the pain and the meds. The Vet Tech recommended this brand for us to use to make medicine time a little bit more pleasurable for her. I got a big bag and was able to split one nugget in half, because these pouches are a pretty good size for just one pill. So you can definitely split these in half if your are on a budget or want to make these last. My Husky loves the flavor of these, and they are pretty stinky as well, almost like a strong beef jerky scent. They very soft like playdoh so you can easily hide any kind of pills in these whether they are capsules or tablet. And not once has my Husky found a pill in the treats, which is amazing because she knows how to hide pills underneath her tongue. She will wait till I walk away and spit it out. So with these there are no more random pills lying on the floor. With these she swallows them right up. I do recommend these as a pet owner and I am sure my big fur baby recommends these for flavor.

Got them for my kids large dog who stays with me every so often and who has to take a pill once a week. Unfortunately, she is very good at holding a pill and later spitting it out. Even in a pocket she seems to know that the pill is hidden and I actually saw her pick up the pocket and drop it on the floor next to her bowl. Since I still had to give her the pill I had to become creative and after several tries I found the solution. I put the pill inside the pocket, and squeezed and worked it until it was completely closed, then I covered in the Hill's Chicken & Barley soft food and placed it in the center of her food bowl covered and surrounded by her also Chicken/Barley covered yummy food. It was gone with her first bite.

We have a 9 year old Maltese. Regretfully when he was younger the Vet we took him to caused permanent liver damage by giving him a steroid and told us it was an antihistamine. He was on a steroid for 6 months that he should not have taken for more than 3 - 7 days. This has caused a million issues I won't go into, but one that has to do with these treats is that he needs to take a rather large pill every morning to help keep his liver healthy. When we first tried these he was taking all types of pills and we ended up having to stop using them, because too many gave him the runs. After a few years and only needing to take the one pill we decided to try them again, because over the years he got very, very, very good at not swallowing them. He could catch them half way down his throat and hack them out later. Every morning my fingers were blue from the dumb blue coating on the pills. I would have to look him in his sad little eyes and then ram my finger down his throat. It sucked. With these …. He come in in the morning from his first yard excursion spinning and wagging his tail in anticipation for getting his treats. I give him the pill thinly wrapped with 3 other small pieces. The pills he takes are supposed to be taken on an empty stomach, so we we not sure if these would affect his enzyme levels. He has been taking his pills with these for a year and his liver tests are coming back great. All in all I highly recommend these, especially for the dog and owner that need to do a daily pill routine!!!

These are great for delivering my dog’s medication. They are mushy, which I didn’t expect, so you can mold it well around the pill easily, though they keep their cup-like shape in the bag until you use them. My dog thinks he’s getting a treat. You may need to break larger pills in half—the pills my dog takes are fairly large (almost the size of a nickel), but his dosage is a half pill so these work just fine. The pockets probably can stretch to accommodate the bigger pill but I don’t know how well hidden it would be.

My dog would probably eat some awful things if I hid them in these pill pockets. As it is, she loves taking Benedryl for her seasonal spring itchies and gulps them down without thinking when in these treats. Absolutely adores them. The dog is about 55 pounds, so in all fairness, these treats are pretty small for her. If I just give her one and let her eat it on her own terms, she sometimes will find the pill. However, since she takes two Benedryl, we have developed a good system that works. I prepare the two pill pockets with the pills inside and make sure that she is watching me (no problem as she runs to me when she hears the bag). I then also get a regular, hard treat that requires her to crunch on it (generic dog bone/biscuit), and I make sure that she sees that, too. Then, I toss a pill pocket which is swallowed whole in anticipation of the second pill pocket, which I give her and which is then swallowed whole, followed by her dog bone treat, which she runs off with and crunches up. This method doesn't give her time to think about the pill pocket treats, though she knows she wants it, which means she never chews it at all and never finds the pill.

These are the best!! I have a dog who takes approximately 20 pills a day and is the best at finding them in his food and spitting them out. I’ve tried disguising the pills with cheese, hot dogs, peanut butter, you name it, I’ve tried it. Nothing worked. Now I put the pills in the pill pockets and he gobbles them right down - he will eat then right out of my hand or in his food. I have tried all the flavors and my dogs have a clear preference for the hickory smoked flavor. This flavor has a stronger odor than the chicken or the PB, and I think that’s why my dogs gobble these up. This flavor is also softer and more pliable than the other flavors, so it’s easier to wrap the pills in them. I find that the capsule size is much better than the pill size for a dog who takes multiple pills, because you can stuff more pills into each pocket. I put two large, 3 medium, or 4 small pills into each pocket. If you dog only needs one pill, you can use only 1/2 pocket. These are worth every penny I spend on them - without them I’d be having a constant challenge trying to get all his medication in him.

My dogs are particularly savvy at detecting pills in food/ peanut butter/ cheese/ etc but with Greenies Pill Pockets we can get even our finickiest of eaters to take their medicine. We have found that if we stuff it and just leave it in front of them instead of trying to get them to eat it (they know if we try to get them to eat it that there's something in it) the will usually eat it right up. I only use the chicken or beef flavors because they are wise to the peanut butter flavor. If you have to give pills on a regular basis and/ or to multiple dogs, this big bag is definitely a big savings over the smaller bags. I usually put the bag into another container or ziplock bag because the Greenie bag doesn't close very well. If these pill pockets dry out they aren't useful.

These are the best things ever. Both of our dogs are on nightly meds for the rest of their lives. After attempting to hide the pills within chunks of hot dogs, wrapping them in lunchmeat and cheese or hiding them among leftovers..only to find them on the floor of their kennels later..I discovered these pill pockets. Their pills are small, and I can wrap each of the two for one dog, and the one pill for the other dog, separately in the three pieces I make from one pill pocket. Thus, a bag of pill pockets becomes three bags. I buy them by the case on Amazon, which is much cheaper than getting them by the bag at a pet food store or the vet. If you haven't tried them and are hassling with hot dogs and anything else you can find in your frig..order them now. You will not be sorry.
