Used this in a 2007 Accord with leather seats that were just getting too toasty for comfort when I got out of work. Product pretty much worked like a charm - the airflow isn't as obvious as I expected, but the seat definitely keeps cool, which is exactly why I got it. I strapped it in as tight as I could, and it still wiggles a little, but normally only requires me to shift my weight a little when I first get in to get comfortable. The fan can be a little loud, but not anything worse than general highway noise when you're cruising at 70 MPH. It lasted me through the entire summer and fall, and I have it sitting in my garage for next year. Recommended!

So far, this product is great! I am in north Florida and drive with the convertible down whenever it's not raining, and sometimes when it is. Because of that, I get almost no AC most of the year and I am a sweaty kind of guy. Before, I would sweat through my shirts from driving every time. My seat cushion arrived 2 days ago. Here are my thoughts so far. Please consider that I cannot yet attest to its durability. *Big PRO* The material construction quality is robust. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised. *Big PRO* The seat is firm but comfortable. Driving an hour and change is no problem for the butt. It actually does better than the seat in supporting the lumbar spine too. *Big PRO* The functionality is great so far. I actually had to turn the fan down because it was making me too cold. It is the winter time here though. The temperatures are in the high 60's. I'll revisit this in the summer. *Big PRO* You can't beat the price for the quality. *PRO* It looks pretty slick in the car. The color happens to match my seats anyway. *PRO* Installation was cake and it stays where I put it. No floating, slouching, bunching, etc. It's like it was part of the seat all along. *CON* The seat warmer is naturally less effective when it's chilly outside, but since the installation is so easy, that's not a big deal. I will just remove the cushion in the winter and a few weeks later when it's spring, summer, and fall time, I'll pop it back in ...I love Florida.... *CON* The fan is a bit loud. It's not a problem for me with the top down, but I can imagine it might be an issue for other cars. *Small CON* The power cord is a bit short and makes a mess plugged in front, but I've managed to make it work with the port in the back seats. I picked up a port splitter and that works pretty well. *Other* It will sit you higher than you are used to. I had to drop my seat a bit to make driving feel normal to me. Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons at this juncture. I just ordered another one for the passenger seat. Remember to get the port splitter if you are limited in power ports. I got this one and it's working just fine: USB Car Charger, Topoint 120W Multiple Ports Car Charger 12V/24V Dual USB Ports 3.1A with 2 Socket Cigarette Lighter Splitter Car Power Adapter for Smart Phones/GPS Devices

I got a wonderful deal on my new Chevy Cruze diesel that I bought because I drive some serious miles. The one not wonderful thing about it is that the leather interior is black 😐. The air conditioner is great and pushes strong cold air to the point that you don't need it all the way up even at a hundred degree day. But, it is a hot and sweaty ride because of no circulation under the thigh, butt, and lower back on the black leather interior. This seat cooler is phenomenal. At first I thought the design looked kind of unwieldy and that the intake fan in the front would get in my way. Then I realized the genius of the design. If you have the fan setting set where the air is blowing both through the dashboard and under the dashboard, then the intake fan picks up the freshly cooled air and blows it through the seating pad. I am driving right now on a bright sunny day at 92 degrees and I can only have the fan set on low otherwise it is too cold 😀 The circulation through the pad seems good I can feel the cold air all the way through to my lower back. I don't know about durability yet because I have only owned it for 2 hours, but it has been a wonderful 2 hours!

So the cushion itself does okay, but it moves ambient air from in front of your seat. I live in south Texas and I needed something a little more than that, especially after getting off work and I'm all sweaty in my Nomex work clothes. I put this in my Nissan Frontier and I used 4in dryer ducting to go from the rear seat foot vent, up to the fan in the front. Push the button on your HVAC controls to shoot down and voila! It's so chilly, it would shame any factory cooled car seats! Sure, it's not stylish, but it's the most affordable cooled car seat available!

My car has seat warmer but I live in California, so what I really need is a seat cooler. This was recommended by a friend. At first I didn't believe this thing would work because it is based on a fan sending air through small holes on the seat cushion and back, but I thought I'd give it a try. The installation is easy. Took a minute to think how I secure the mid section but turned out to be easy (just sneak it through the seat gap and catch it from the back of the seat.) This thing really works! My back is feeling cool and comfortable, so is my b*tt. There is a fan speed selector on the cable for High-Low-Off. Very well designed product. If I really have to nit-picking about it, I'd suggest the store owner to place a small note on the installation. Mine doesn't come with instructions, and hoonest I don't think you need it, but doesn't hurt by proving one. Also, this thing has some odor smell the first time you plug it in, I simply turn on the engine, select "high" for the seat cushion, roll down the windows and let it run for 5-10 minutes and the odor is all gone. Maybe the store owner can do this prior shipment. All in all, great product, and I like the all-black color that matches my sear.

OK, wow. Just, wow. I love this thing. I drive Uber. In the South. In the Summer. It's been 105 every day. My van's AC is on max, but w the insanely high humidity levels, and my leather seats, I was sweating constantly. I needed something to get my back and legs directly off the leather, something to create some space and allow some airflow. I was looking at everything from bamboo seat covers to ergonomic pads, etc. Nothing really looked that useful, and it was all around $20 or more. Then I found this. It's only $35 and it beats the crap out of everything else I looked at. Installs in 3minutes. Lay the headrest strap over your headrest, tuck the little tabs in the rear seat crevice, twist them so they hold flat against the seat. Use the hooked straps on the front to hook under the front of your seat (they stretch, so if they don't hold on the very front, pull them over more to the side or farther under the seat and find a spot they will hook onto well), plug it in, turn it on, and relax. FYI: The fan blows air that is the temperature of the air in front of the fan, which hangs down in front of your seat. Seems like most people would realize this, bc it's a fairly basic simple concept, but I have seen negative comments dinging this bc they are driving a car w no AC and expecting this to be an air conditioning seat cover. Um, no. This thing works wonderfully well when used as it is designed to be used. If you sweat even when your AC is on, this will help solve that problem. If you live in an area with insane humidity, this will keep you from noticing, at least while you are driving. I sometimes forget to turn it on, but I remember quickly when I start dripping a few minutes after getting into my car. When I turn it on I can immediately feel the air blowing thru all the holes in the seat and back. It is so, so very nice. There is a very noticeable difference between Lo and Hi settings, and I usually just keep it on Lo simply bc Lo works very well. If I am extra hot or drippy, I go to Hi for a few minutes, and voila! Problem solved. There is of course some fan noise, though you barely notice it even on High. The air that is blowing onto my legs and back is very much cooler than my body temp, and cools me off very fast, even if I get in already drenched and dripping. Gross I know, but hey, trying to be helpfully descriptive here ;p You can't beat the price either. This thing is comfortable & works perfectly as advertised and described. And for $35 it's a steal imo. Especially compared to the $150 version I saw on here when shopping. Geez. There is also a version of this exact seat by the same company that comes in a 2-pack for $55ish, which is a nice extra savings for these things. Especially since in my opinion, one of these is well worth $50. I would have gladly paid that much for one, it just improved my comfort level that much. So worth it. I actually wish I had gotten the 2pack now that I know just how nice and awesome these are. Anyhoo, I paid for this with my own $$. I did NOT receive any discount on these for any reason, and I hate seeing all the glowing biased reviews of people who got things for free. Sure, your opinion is your own, but you probably can't help but feel a little obligated to give a good review, especially when people are throwing free stuff at you for doing it. I bought this, and I love it. Your mileage may vary. Hope this helps.

Just completed a 3,000-mile round trip from Missouri to New Mexico in July through all kinds of heat in my hardtop-convertible Eos and I'm giving this product a five-star thumbs up! It made a big difference in my car with a black interior, whether the top was down or up. As others have said, the cooling effect is instantaneous. And I am glad the designer included a hi/low switch, because the hi setting is only needed for the first few minutes when the car has been heat-soaking in the hot sun. And, the material itself never gets hot to the touch like the black car upholstery, so gone are the days of getting into a heat-soaked car and having to sit on an even hotter seat! It's the best $30 I've ever spent on a car! The cooling seat is soft and comfortable to sit on for hours and a time-- I used it for the entire round-trip to New Mexico, usually on the low setting. The elastic straps do a great job of holding in in place on my seat when getting in and out of the car and the control switch is easy to reach and operate. Extremely satisfied!

I've had this cooling seat cushion for 4 months and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I wanted to see how it held up before I posted a review. I do a LOT of traveling so I think I can confidently say that this is going to last. (If it has an untimely death, I'll update my post.) I live in Florida where it's hot and humid almost the entire year. But even when it's NOT hot and humid, my leather seats in my car make my back hot and sweaty. I used to throw a beach towel over my seat but I'd still end up with a damp shirt back. This has fixed the problem! It's hard to describe...when it's on, you really can't notice the air so much...until you turn it off!!!! I just had my car in for new tires on Saturday and for some reason the guys turned off the seat (I always leave it on) and I didn't realize how much of a difference it made until I was all sweaty. It cools you off almost as soon as you turn it back on. The only problem I've had with it whatsoever is that sometimes the fan slides around in its pocket and then it starts making an annoying "I'm dying! Fix me!" noise. All you have to do is reposition it. There is a general noise when it's running and at first it was very noticeable but you get used to it. Trust me, it's worth it for the comfort and non-damp shirt backs when you get out of the car. I love this thing and I'm upset that they aren't currently available because I was going to buy them for people for gifts....just hoping they become available again soon!!!!!

Nice addition to my vehicle. My body runs hot, and I sweat easily. The leather seats in my car make that worse. This cooling seat cushion helps a lot, circulating air between my back and the leather. I would like to see a couple minor design changes - make the cushion back a few inches taller, and the fan a bit quieter. Otherwise I am very happy with the product.

This is EXACTLY what I needed. The air conditioning in my car is very efficient but my leather seats are dark and get VERY hot. It's torture to sit on that hot seat and sweat with no air movement. My past 3 cars have had A/C seats. My new car doesn't. I swore that I was going to take my Audi back to the dealership if I didn't find a quick solution. Then I found this. CRISIS AVERTED! The $40 piece of magic is amazing. I can't speak to it's longevity because I've only used it for about a month. I CAN speak to the fact that angels sing when I turn it on. Even if the air in the car isn't super cold yet when I turn on the car, it's amazing to have any kind of air circulating around me. I get grumpy when I'm hot. Most of my days are spent in dresses and heels for work and I do NOT want to show up at a client appointment with sweat marks. Not pretty. I want to have a stockpile of these in my garage JUST in case. This product is awesome. EDIT: Over a year later and it’s still amazing. If I thought it was the best $40 I’d ever spent when I’d originally written this review ONE MONTH after buying it, I’m going to have to multiply that statement by a dozen now. It even survived a flood in my car when I left my sunroof open in days of torrential downpours. Not only did it protect my leather, but it also STILL WORKS like a champ. ($10K worth of damage to my car paid by insurance ...but the seat cooler still worked!!...) This thing is such a workhorse. Still amazing.
