I was hesitant in getting this because I have always loved my apple iPods. But when I lost my last iPod I wasn't about to spend a fortune replacing it. I purchased one of these and I have been very happy. Relatively easy to use - FYI, the power button is on the bottom side of the unit - LOL - that was the hardest part for me to figure out! Easy to load music - no more need to transfer to iTunes and then to your ipod - you can drag your music right into the Agptek. There are few other functions like stopwatch, calendar, alarm, but do you really need those? If you just need a good music device and don't want to burn up your cell phone's battery - this is the one I recommend

I'm impressed with this MP3 player. The sound was excellent even with my cheap pair of headphones. The battery life appears to be living up to its claim. I've inserted a MicroSD card, transferred and organized MP3 files (via USB cable connected to my notebook computer), and played music from the MicroSD card without a problem. The FM radio picked up and played all the local radio stations without a problem. Navigation is a bit challenging at first but I got the hang of it. The only negative comment I have about this device is that the LCD screen is impossible to read in the direct sunlight. But overall, for the price, you can't go wrong.

If you're just looking for a simple MP3 player to fit your basic listening needs then this is it. It's only 8 gb and I was able to fit about 600 songs with still a lot of space left. If you need more space, you can fit a micro sd card in a side slot on the player. I'm using a Sandisk 32gb micro sd. The only thing with the slot is there's no cover. The material isn't special and the graphics isn't that great but the sound quality is amazing. I have not tried putting e-books on it yet but I'm sure it would go well with this.

I have never written a review online before, but this thing is so good I feel I am obliged to. I had had an ipod shuffle for nearly three years, when it died. The local apple mac store would charge $150 to look at it before deciding what was wrong, and getting a battery changed didn't seem to be an option. So with a friend's help I found this, which not only holds all the music I like, but has a screen, and can even make recordings. I am not very technically savvy, but that this is available for 22 dollars blows my mind. And it's red. Also, I wasn't sure if I could transfer all my music (currently on an old mac lap top) to this, but I could. Clicking and dragging. I am very happy with it, and I even liked the packaging... simple, elegant and amusing.

So far have no complaints especially given the price. Weighs nothing. Easily hooks up to headphones and volume is fine. Takes a few short minutes to learn the buttons and what the player can do. Note the player did not come with any thoughtful directions. Quick trial and error on the buttons sufficed. Player did way more than imagined (well beyond just an MP3 player). It has some clock features including a nice clock, stop watch, alarm, a calendar, and some radio options. I had no trouble moving files from my iTunes to the player with the exception of a few old purchased ITunes files that were in M4P format. I read some solutions for that. None that were suggested were successful other than buying a converter program or paying money to Apple. Given this was less than 10% of my past purchases I will live without those songs on this mini-player. Tip to move to from i-Tunes to this player set up a "new folder" in Finder. Move a copy of desired music to that folder. Then just drag that folder to the Agptex folder that appears when connected with a USB cord. Really this was simple for anyone who has a Mac and I-tunes and a basic understanding of copying files in the "Finder" application. Do not be intimidated. To find where you music is stored - right click on a song in i-Tunes and select "Show in Finder." From that window I just moved a copy of the song to the newly created folder. Update: We have now had this player for a half of year. The battery charge is excellent. This is an outstanding starter MP3 player for a youngster in particular.

This is a GREAT little player. I was extremely surprised at what this little player will do. I was dismayed at the fact that my Windows 10 computer would not recognize it, I then loaded all my music on a 32GB SD card and I was good to go. I love the features on it, including the FM radio and will probably purchase another for my wife to use. UPDATE: The problem I had with my computer not recognizing this player was resolved. It was the USB cord. I will now give this little player a 5+ rating. As I said earlier, it's a GREAT little plalyer and I love it.

*** Update. I've had 3 of these for 9 mos. 2 for 2 kids age 10 & 7 and one for me. They are all still awesome. Battery life is great, sounds great. I use mine in my car all the time. Easy to toss in my purse. I can't figure out how to respond to comments (more like Amazon won't direct link me) but there are questions about me formats it can use. I've attached a screen shot from the manual to hopefully help. I didn't expect a whole lot from this mp3 player and I'm pleasantly surprised. It has a radio, photo, video & ebook viewing capability (although I would go blind reading on that small screen.) They are plastic and they are on the compact side, fit in the palm of my hand and they the quality doesn't seem very high but I'll revisit the review and adjust after my kids have had them for a while. So far it has surprised me. Meanwhile I'm going to buy another just for my car; easy to hide and keep in there.

This is my second mp3 player I've purchased with the AGPTEK company. I'm a VERY happy customer. For $25 bucks it's a steal! Box includes: the mp3 player, only a cord to charge/ transfer music to the device (no wall adapter), and a simple and easy to read manual. My first device was the rose gold color, but I'm glad I went with the red, it's beautiful! I love the new clock and date screensaver this mp3 offers. It's easy to navigate around. I love the FM radio, AND the option to record the radio is superb! I love that you can charge the device and listen to music at the same time. It lasts me over 50 hours of playtime on just one charge. Under the tools it offers: Stopwatch, Calendar, and Alarm. It has 8 GB storage with the option for an SD card for extra storage. Great quality, wonderful price, best mp3 player on the market in its category. AGPTEK devices never dissapoint me!

I've had this music player for a few weeks and I really like it a lot. Unlike an iPod this AGPTEK is very inexpensive and oozes value: - Small form-factor, similar to an iPod nano. - Very lightweight which is great for travel. - Sound quality is fantastic. I can't tell the difference between the AGPTEK's playback quality and the iPod's. - Outstanding battery life. Some of the specs on Amazon say 50-70 hours of battery life and I believe it based on some of my own testing. - Has played every media file I've thrown at it so far. - Has a side-loadable uSD card slot supporting cards up to 128GB. If you have more than 128GB of music (wow!) then you can swap out cards in a snap. - Can mount (connect) to your computer through a standard micro USB cable and read from/write to the uSD card just like any other USB drive. - Has an FM radio built in which is nice when traveling abroad and curious about whats on the airwaves. - Can make small voice note recordings using the tiny built in mic. - Turned on/off with a simple toggle switch at the base of the device. No wondering if its really off. - LCD is the ideal size, not too big to add dimensions to to the device and not too small that its hard to read what is playing, etc. - Wide range of colors available. The blue one I got has a "soft-touch" coating which adds a non-slip property to the device. There are a few areas where the product could be improved however since I do not think any of these detract from the overall usability (for me) it would be unreasonable to subtract a star over them: - LCD screen is quite low-resolution and low frame rate. I just play music and it displays titles and album art and its perfect for that. You supposedly can play movies on the device but you'd really have to hate yourself to watch them on this 1in screen! - Menu navigation together with control wheel layout is a bit odd and takes some getting used to at first. After a bit of use you get the hang of it and can get anywhere you want pretty quickly. - The edge around the front face of the device would have been a bit more aesthetically and tactilely pleasing if it was a bit more rounded. Overall this music player is great for traveling and for keeping your music collection within reach. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone but especially I recommend this for the travelers out there!

I purchased two of these about two years ago and have been totally happy with the product, so I bought two more in Dec 2016 to help manage my music collection. I only use them for music, so can't comment on video, audio books, radio or other functions. With a high storage memory card added, these can hold a ton of music. Plus IMO they are a great bargain in quality for price. The controls aren't as user friendly as some devices (e.g. for volume control you need to hold the volume button down for a few seconds for the volume control icon to pop up) but they are easy to learn. I didn't find them entirely intuitive so it is best to read the instruction booklet. Also, they charge up quickly and will play for a long time from a full charge (I can leave one plugged into my stereo system and play continuously from about 8am to 5pm for a few days). In the car, they are great for road trips! And they now have more colors available, so for me that makes it easier to remember what music I have on each one.
