Small but mighty

We were looking for a tea kettle that did not have any plastic that would come in touch with the water. This kettle had great reviews and did not disappoint. It is a small kettle, so great for 2 to 3 cups of water at a time, which is just perfect for us. I had also read that the gooseneck was great for pouring the hot water over coffee and tea, and I was skeptical. But as a big time tea drinker, really found that it helps get the tea brewing. Only con to this kettle, is that the top is a little hard to pop off as it fits super tightly (as noted by some other reviewers), especially when it's hot, so you just have to be careful. However, it's not a big deal. Definitely a winner for our home!

Perfect for my needs

I purchased this so I could offer people tea in my gallery (and make tea for myself!) and it's just perfect for my needs. Quiet, small footprint, elegant, and as promised, it doesn't drip (a huge deal in my book!). Great value for the money, it serves three people with ease (more than that, you'd better be making espresso-strength coffee!)

Charming but sturdy tea kettle

As a tea drinker, I was looking for a simple and straightforward electric kettle to use for the several cups of tea I brew each day. This is a lovely little kettle, small enough to leave on my kitchen counter full time, but big enough to make several cups at once, should I have company. It comes quickly to a boil, then quietly clicks off. There is a clear indication of minimum and maximum capacity located inside the kettle, in the same area where the handle attaches, which is easy to read when filling it with water. I cannot see anyplace on the kettle where the water would come into contact with the plastic components. Because I live in an area where the water has a high mineral content, I use purified water only in the kettle, and I take the extra precaution of draining it every night to prevent any chance of rust. Unlike other kettles that I have seen reviewed on Amazon, this one does not remain warm when it is plugged in but not operating. I have been completely satisfied with this purchase.

Love this teapot!!

I am a fan of electric teapots -- especially ones that do not have any plastic touching the water (which isn't so easy to find) -- and this teapot doesn't have any plastic in water!! So, in addition to the stainless steel and no plastic parts in water, this is why I love the teapot: it is a cute teapot. The long spout is great for pouring over my tea. It is pleasurable compared to a full out pour. The unit heats quickly and barely emits steam. And I love that the company cares enough about me, the customer to be sure that I am satisfied with their product.

Excellent kettle plus top notch service

Excellent kettle for morning pour over and tea. I really like the balance of the pot when pouring and the elegant simplicity of the all stainless design. A superior replacement for our idiosyncratic, bulky and over-complicated Breville pot. The staff of Willow and Everett provided the exemplary Amazon customer service of a small business that passionately cares about its customers and loves what they do. Well done! Excellent minimalist kettle

Love it, for what it is: small, elegant, simple kettle. No adjustable thermostat, no 'keep warm' feature...just an on switch that automatically shuts off when the water boils. If you want bells and whistles, try something else, but if what you want is a simple, hopefully foolproof (have only used this a couple of weeks), and elegantly shaped electric kettle, this is the one. It's got an especially nicely formed tip on the end of the spout; no drips, great control of where the water goes. Minimalist form and function--just what I wanted.

Initial review: effective, super user friendly, and quick

Received the kettle 10/2/18. I'll try to remember to follow up if I come across anything negative with it. This thing is super easy to use. 1) Fill it to max line (which fits probably 2 large mugs worth of water; maybe 3 or so smallish cups?) 2) plug stand in, set kettle on it, put lid on, and push the little on/off lever down 3) wait about 3-4 minutes for tap water to heat to boil. Kettle automatically turns off at temperature 4) pick up and pour The product has a temperature sensor, so you can put liquid of varying volume and/or temperature and it will heat whatever water is in it to boiling and cut itself off. If it heats to boil but you let it sit too long... just turn it on again. It will heat the water back up appropriately, without overdoing it. Not having an actual thermometer is kind of a Con, but it compensates for it by bringing the water to a consistent temperature (Pro). Edit: It's 6 months later, still 5 stars. Still works perfectly. I've experimented pushing it to its limits by filling it with 4 cups, which is above its fill line. It still functions properly, except the volume/weight causes it to leak at some point at the base. Then functions perfectly again when you put a reasonable volume of water in it. Still recommending.

Perfect in Every Way

I know this got some negative reviews but I couldn't be more happy with this little electric kettle. Pay attention to the capacity because it isn't much and is exactly what I wanted. I am gentle with it and you should be too as it's a little delicate. But it boils water in under two minutes and is perfection for my needs of constant tea making and occasionally some single serve hand-ground, carafe-brewed coffee. If it breaks it will be sorely missed because it's perfect in every way. This is particularly true for anyone with weak hands, wrists, or with shoulder injuries who cannot lift more than a pound easily or without pain. This will be the perfect kettle for you. Update 12/21/2018 Still going strong and still loving this little kettle. No problems, no leaking. Update 03/18/2019 Still loving this little kettle. There is no leaking at all. The only time it has dripped was when I overfilled it and that's not a leak - that's me putting too much water inside. This really is the perfect kettle for one or two people.

Impressive kettle and customer service!

Update: Within minutes of posting the below *issues/review, a Willow & Everett representative contacted me about sending a replacement kettle, saying that I must have received a defective unit. They sent a replacement within 24 hours of my response and 2 days later, it was on my doorstep. IMPRESSIVE customer service to say the least! I've been using this one for months now with NO ISSUES whatsoever! It heats quickly and at the perfect temp for my pour-over coffee. My kids use it for tea as well so it's used at VERY least, once per day, often more. No leaking at all so indeed, the faulty first unit must have been a fluke. I even overfilled it slightly a time or two and the only problem was that it doesn't pour from the spout without splattering. (Not unexpected since this is user error!) Thank you for your prompt response and replacement W&E! I know which brand to buy for gifts in the future! Original review: *I loved this for a few weeks. Now it’s suddenly leaking from the bottom somewhere, regardless of proper filling and use. So disappointed because I love how it looks!

This kettle is very light when filled to the max. Water heats quickly. The gooseneck spout gives great control when making our pour over coffee ☕️
