These were amazing! I shipped some beer from Chicago to Austin, and the person who received the box commended me on my awesome shipping and packing job. It took me a little bit to realize how to pump them up (there is a small slit on the right side (even though the arrows are pointing left) and you slide in the pump there, and hold tight with your fingers. After a few seconds you will hear the different chambers start to pop open, and within a few seconds the whole thing was blown up. A pro-tip though would be to blow it up a little bit, put in the bottle, and then blow the rest of the way around the bottle. I did overfill one a bit and it took some finagling to get the bottle in. But all together, they worked REALLY well.

Worked perfectly. I used these traveling from Paris to Florida for 9 wine bottles and they were perfect in my checked luggage. I did have to check other reviews to see how to inflate them, but once I saw the picture it was simple and took maybe 30 seconds or so a bag.

When we travel overseas we like to bring back wine and olive oil from the various countries we travel to. One year we bought a few bottles and wrapped them in clothes and stuffed them into our suitcases. However a couple of years ago we discovered these inflatable wine carriers. At first we were skeptical because so many people said they didnt inflate or they couldn't figure out how to inflate them. So far we have transported 30 bottles of wine, liquor and oil from overseas to the states using these carriers in our check luggage. In one trip a bottle of liquor leaked half the bottle and the carrier contained the leak! The key is finding the location of one way valve. Use dry fingers and roll the plastic back and forth to separate the layers or make a small cut (see photo) to separate the layers. Insert the pump into the top layer to inflate. Many people make the mistake and slide the pump into the 3rd layer and it doesn't inflate. Once you do the first bag, the rest are super easy! We are headed to portugal for the next trip and packing an extra bag to carry back 18-20 bottles using these carriers. I dont know why more travelers are not using these. They are really missing out bringing back amazing wine that you just cannot find stateside.

I had to watch the video in order to figure out how to make this work (no instructions whatsoever in the shipment and I had to find the order I placed in order to find the instructions via YouTube). Once you watch the video for 1.5 minutes it was easy breezy ad these things are perfect. They create a protective shield around many different types of wine glasses and makes packing them for moving so much less of a chore.

My original order arrived damaged so the bags weren't inflating but I contacted customer service and they sent out a new order super quick. Once the next package arrived everything worked like a dream the way it should. 5 stars for product value and customer service combined!

These wraps work phenomenally! Recently took a vacation to Belgium and wanted to bring back many bottles of the harder to get Lambic beers we can't get easily back in the US, and needed an option that would 1) Be rigid and cushioned enough to protect the bottles through the Airline luggage handling and 2) be something that i could bring with me in a minimal size, then inflate to get that protection for all the bottles. Look no further! These things are the answer! Each package comes with 12 inflatable protectors and 1 small hand pump. You just need to screw the plastic inflation needle in the end of the pump, insert into the tiny opening in the protector (if you have the sheet sitting on a surface, with the open area to insert the bottle facing you, the opening to inflate from is on the upper RIGHT corner edge of the larger bottom bottle holding part) and pinch the plastic around the pump needle and pump that thing up until it can't hold anymore air! Each tube in the protector is independent of the others, by way of a 1 way valving system. That way if one deflates, the others will stay intact. I have 1 tube out of the 20 protectors I used deflate from puncture, but it still protected the bottles well. The only downside, if you want to call it that, is they don't have a valve to deflate once done, so you can easily store and reuse again. Not a huge deal for me, as I won't be taking that type of trip again soon, but it might be of concern to some. I figure by time I do take a trip and need them again, they will have naturally deflated. Bottom line: They are cheap insurance for your expensive bottles, the do the job, buy them! just make sure you have the luggage room for your return!

These are great. Can't imagine how the bottles could break once inside. Would probably require getting smashed, rather than just dropped. The package had a QR code the links to a YouTube video. Super easy to inflate after watching that. I was confused until I watched the video. Will buy again.

Like many people here that purchased this item I was looking for a nice way to travel with bottles of wines I was surprised how effective this product was : at protecting the bottles of wine Now at first it’s a little tricky to figure out how to inflate it Easy thing to do is look at a YouTube video there’s many . The part where the pump inserts in on the right side Once you feel the groove . Press down with you thumb and index finger as you insert the top of the pump .. and once you get the first bag inflated the rest is a piece of cake - Just have to be a little patient You can do the rest with your eyes closed Always inflate enough to crest a hard seal I really recently took 6 bottles of wine to some friends and family event from Florida to New York with no problem For the price I highly recommend

So, the girlfriend loves wine and I've gotten a bit of a whiskey collection going and have been lucky with some lotteries and finds of expensive items. Living in California earthquake country, I figured I'd want a way to protect some of my better bottles and these fit the bill. I've used about 16 of these so far (bought 2 packs; glad I have a backup pump, as it seems a little cheap and I'm concerned it will eventually break), all of them worked out great. I thought my first one had a leak, but it was just that I wasn't sealing the nozzle entrance well. It uses some type of self-sealing back pressure method to keep the air in, so I'm slightly concerned about air leaks over time; will update this review if I find I have any leak issues, but 3 days later so far so good. I find I can comfortably pump up one of these in about 30 seconds, quicker if I was in a rush. As some have mentioned, getting the pump nozzle into hole can be difficult. One trick I found out is to blow on the hole a bit to force it open, then hold it open for the pump. I use the pinky of my left hand to try to seal the opening around the pump needle. Obviously, the better you seal it the better it pumps. Note that filling it requires a decent amount of pressure, such that when I tried a little battery-powered air pump I use for camping air mattresses, it didn't have the power to fill the bag up. I do have a more powerful air pump in storage, if I dig it out and it works, I'll update this review. The bags are wide enough for non-typical wine bottles (I used them on Hibiki and Michter's 10, if you're familiar). Anything much wider and I'd be concerned about all of the air tubes filling. I have some of the folding green delivery bags from Amazon Fresh, which are great to hold 6 of these, with a convenient handle. You can even leave in one of the insulation/padding pieces for extra padding. So far, I'm very pleased with these and plan on purchasing more. Will definitely be taking these on trips when we might be doing some whiskey/wine shopping.

I tested these bags on a few wine bottles that I transported in my checked soft-shell- baggage on an overseas 9-hour flight and they worked fine. I didn't even seal the bags and everything came intact. I highly recommend these inexpensive wine wrappers.
