Excellent Substitute for PUR

The price is great. I ran it for a few minutes, just like PUR says in their instructions, The black stopped almost immediately. The flow rate seemed to be about the same as PUR and the taste was very good. I also use it for coffee making and I am pleased with the results.

these are the best water filters i have used, even better than the pur brand. the water pressure is greatly improved. i will definately order these again when needed.

00 for ONE filter at our favorite "W" store

I bought these because I was tired of paying $14.00 for ONE filter at our favorite "W" store. They're the exact same contraption and water flow IS better and if you do the math, they come out to $6.00 a piece which is perfect for people on a budget.

Perfect replacement for PUR filter.

Tried these out as a lower cost replacement for PUR filters and they work great! I have a PUR basic and these filters work. When you flip the filter the water comes out aggressively but that is the only thing that's different.

Flow seems actually better than the PUR brand OEM filters. Love the price on a 3-pack, as I can barely make coffee without filtering my water first!

These filters remove the chlorine taste, and a kind of muddy flavor that my water has during the summer months. I have a good supplier for tap water as far as testing that is done st the water plant so I'm not worried about bad things in the water, just the chlorine, and the muddy aftertaste. These filters have a good flow, and they remove the off flavors so they are perfect for me.

Higher flow rate, why? Fits, works, recommended

Fit into PUR filter housing. LEDs still blink when turned on. Flow rate is MUCH higher than the original PUR filter. I suspect this is either a lower restriction filter or allows larger particles to pass. NO problem for me as I am just filtering sand and large materials. My water is clean and pure except for a little sand. Recommended as low cost replacement.

Works with indicator light and lasted just as long. H2O tasted great.

I give these 5stars based off taste and performance. I really don't know how many contaminants they remove compared to an actual Pur water filter so I can't comment on that but I can say that they did work with my indicator light, they actually had better water pressure (maybe bc these are charcoal and Pur is an RO filter I think, not 100% sure) and that they lasted the same amount of time. So the choice is yours if you want to save a few bucks and use something more Eco friendly.

I love them cuz they're trustable

I have used these water filters for more than 3 years. I love them cuz they're trustable. I mean the water filtered with this brand is as clear as crystal and tastes much better. I hate to see "clouds" (I think it might be a combination of metal tiny parts or contaminants) at the bottom of a pitcher after the boiling water is left over night. They help save gas to boil water to kill the bacteria if there are.

As a poor student I bought these instead of Pur brand water filters for my apartment sink and it's worked great! for some reason the water flow is stronger with these than Pur brand filters but there's no fishy weird taste for the first few cups like for Pur filters I've used.
