Easy to use; works well and seems to be accurate.

Excellent and easy to use. Only one db from pro meters either higher or lower depending. Even the pro meters vary. Wonderful that it comes with such a nice case.

This is an extremely accurate decibel meter, which I use to measure the sound of my instruments when recording. It’s important that I get an accurate read of the SPL (sound pressure level) because I don’t want to destroy my expensive microphones. I would recommend this to anyone looking for accurate levels of SPL in decibels.

Did what I needed it to do. Never seems to go below 30 to 35 decibels but then I read online somewhere that a library is 30 to 40 decibels so seems like it's working great. One small drawback is that the instructions say it may need to be recalibrated at some point in the future but there don't seem to be any instructions on how to do that.

My husband has Parkinson's Disease and uses this to learn how to project his voice as recommended by his voice therapist. Works very well. Got a micro stand with a swivel mount to hold it at a constant distance.

Nice little meter. Have a more expensive one for stamped readings and this is just as good level reading. I like this unit. Seller very fast to

I needed a way to reference noise levels some my woodshop is in the basement and have no real way of gauging how loud each equipment is. I also didn't want to spend a fortune as I simply wanted a bulk measurement and was not going for the best model on the market. The operation was simple enough. I wanted to test the noise level of my new 3HP dust collection motor without anything attached and was able to get the reading. I measured at 12 inches away. Quite the noisy motor being a 240V motor. This will at least give me a baseline to build an appropriate sound deadening enclosure. Easy startup, big screen and does the job. Certainly is better than using a cell phone app that can be off by quite a bit.

I have used high precision sound measuring equipment in the past and they were of course quite expensive. This unit is very low cost and does a reasonable job for what it costs. It measures total sound pressure level over the bandwidth indicated. It does not in any way give sound levels at selectable bands. The accuracy has not been measured but it appears to be reasonable based upon my prior experience with more sophisticated equipment. I have used it to measure aircraft noise on landing and takeoff to determine if it would be worthwhile to examine the issue more closely. This unit can "put you in the ballpark" but I would suspect it falls short of something one would want to use in some professional context. Overall it works well for the price.

Does everything I need it to. I picked this one over similar units because it came with a storage case which is nice. I won't use it a lot so it's nice to know it will stay protected in my tool box. I've used it to measure noise levels on an air compressor so far and it worked well. The operation is basic and doesn't have a ton of features but it's 1/4 the price of more complex units. For most people this will be all you need unless you're more towards audiophile interests.
