I've used several types of gloves while bbq'ing and handling hot cast iron. The BlueFire gloves are hands down the best I've tried. I baked corn bread last night in a cast iron pan on my big green egg...had no trouble handling the cast iron. Good job guys...ordering another pair today!

These are my new favorite cooking/hot gloves. I cook three meals a day for my wife and five children, I am in the kitchen A LOT. These do take a moment longer to put on than traditional hot gloves. You have to get used to that, but easy enough to do that. They are great protection against taking all manner of hot things out of the oven and then looking around for a place to set it. They work as advertised. I love these.

I don't usually write reviews, but these are so great that I have to share. Also, they are my second pair of this material, and by far the best of the lot I have tried. First, with this material you can easily and securely grip a HOT dish from the oven or stove, and hold it for awhile. Second. these fit a woman's hand perfectly. ( I wear a size 8 ring) . I bought the one in the following link (TTLIFE) and the fingertips were too long, good for men only, ruining their dexterity for my use. TTLIFE BBQ Grilling Cooking Gloves - 932°F Extreme Heat Resistant Gloves - 1 Pair (Long) - 14" Long For Extra Forearm Protection Stick with this BlueFire model, ladies, and get the men their own pair. One final point- the longish cuff gives you extra arm protection for the oven, yet they slip on and off easily. These are my second pair of this material, and the best of all I have tried. There's no going back once you try them. TTLIFE BBQ Grilling Cooking Gloves - 932°F Extreme Heat Resistant Gloves - 1 Pair (Long) - 14" Long For Extra Forearm Protection

Okay folks here we go. I confess that I had my doubts about these gloves. Went camping this week and tried these gloves out. They really do work as advertised! I was able to pickup burning logs right out of the fire, flames and/or glowing embers had no effect. I literally held hot burning logs in my hand for extended periods with no heat transfer to my hands. (I don't recommend doing this, but I was camping and wanted to really test these gloves). To be fair though, I did hold a hot skillet for a couple minutes while cooking and did start getting warm. I really like this product and recommend them!

I cannot recommended these gloves enough. I actually purchased them to replace a 16 year old pair of NOMEX oven gloves that I bought in Europe. The NOMEX gloves that I had were the best kitchen tool that I had ever had. They were effective, and incredibly flexible and accurate. They worked in intensely high heat, without any heat reaching your hands. This next bit should NOT be taken as any fire safety advice, but rather as a testimony to the qualities of NOMEX. Recently, someone in the household mistakenly set the microwave on fire. The fire totaled the microwave, but the NOMEX gloves were used to put out the large fire in the microwave oven. Not only did the gloves completely extinguish the fire, but the person's hands, directly in the fire, were unscathed. My wonderful gloves were burnt black, and unusable after this, but the NOMEX gloves quite possible saved lives and the house. Immediately after this occurred, I found these gloves, and ordered them. They may be pricey, but they are well worth the price, and these gloves will last you literally decades. The inside of these gloves are exactly like the NOMEX gloves that I had for 16 years, and they have the added feature of the knife-proof and heat proof KEVLAR outer shell, along with the traction bars. The gloves are every bit as flexible and effective as my 16 year old gloves, with an extra layer of protection. No kitchen should be without gloves like these.

I like these gloves, they are perfect! I grill using charcoal. Many times in the past, when I am moving coals around, or moving the grates to add more charcoal, I would use utensils and It was a pain! Now with these gloves, I can do a lot more, closer to the hot coals. The gloves get warm, but do the job! I don't suggest trying to win any heat endurance contests with them, but they are up to the challenge for handling hot items during grilling. They seem to be pretty rugged. If you want to place a hot pot or pan on a counter top, you can put the glove or gloves on the counter and then place the hot pot or pan or dish on top of the glove(s). They will protect the surface from getting heat damage.

My son in law is thrilled with them!! UPDATE 5/23/18: Need to tell you that my son in law has had these gloves since 4/1/18. Today 5/23/18, there is one finger that no longer has the blue covering over it. You can see white & he could feel the heat! He loves these gloves.....very disappointed in the durability. PLEASE CONTACT ME. I believe a new pair of gloves is in order. He likes these better than the Green Egg gloves! So please let me hear from you!

My manly man scoffed when I took these out of the box. He used to be a fireman, and he is our official fire builder, and, yes, really, quite the manly man. "What would you ever need those for?" he asked. Last night, he needed to remove the glass from the front of our wood stove, in which there was a roaring fire, so that we could test out some marshmallow roasting sticks. Realizing he'd taken the glass out while the fire was blazing, I asked him how he had done it?? "The fire gloves," he said. 'Nuff said.

I was able to pick up and remove the hot (~400° F) ceramic heat deflectors from my Kamado grill. Don't expect to hold on to something that hot for long, after about 10 seconds it started to burn my hands and I had to quickly remove the gloves. Now that I am more aware of the time limitation I will move more quickly next time. UPDATE I just went to use these gloves for the second time and noticed that when I picked up the hot ceramic it burned the color out of the gloves and altered the knit pattern. see attached photo Yet another update. I did use the gloves for the second time to lift a pizza stone that read 425° F on my infrared thermometer and moved faster so I wasn't holding on too long and they worked great. Updating review to 4 UPDATE Mike from BlueFire Gloves was kind enough to point out the fact that parts in a grill often reach higher temp than the grill thermometer reads and that got me to rethink what happened when the gloves discolored. I did check the temp of the pizza stone with a infrared thermometer but neglected to check the ceramic heat deflectors. I have no idea what temp they were but their purpose is to protect the pizza stone from the direct heat of the fire and that time the stone was 457° F so the deflectors would have been significantly hotter than that. I have used these gloves several times now and am extremely pleased with them. Best I have ever used. Just stay within the parameters and you will have success. The problems I described above were not because the gloves failed but because I didn't follow my own advise and be careful to not exceed the the capabilities of the gloves. Upgrading my review to a 5 star. Thanks for the help Mike from BlueFire Gloves.
