Installing a new Sandisk SSD 500 Gb with an already existing SSD 128 Gb drive was easy with this. By including all the necessary cables, everything needed is there. I just popped off the cover, plugged in the new drive, and cabled up. It's really all there is to the physical installation. I formatted it with Windows and then used 3rd party software to clone Windows onto the new drive. Then I F2'd the BIOS to boot off the new drive. All done.

This is a great kit to help install an SSD in a desktop PC. I recently used it to install one in my old Dell PC. The Crucial SSD fit well in the bracket using the kit's included screws and screwdriver, and the extra SATA and power cables came in handy while I was cloning the existing hard drive. My application required a vertical drive installation, which didn't fit the bracket's existing holes. However, I drilled four 1/8" holes in the bottom to line up with the PC case holes, and I was good to go!

Everything I needed to add an Internal SSD to my Dell Desktop Computer. The SSD fit the center of the adapter perfectly, screws were the correct thread size. SSD is held securely and with plenty of air around it for circulation while isolating it from movement and vibration through the computer case etc... The included power cords and connectors worked very well and were absolutely necessary when bringing power to the SSD. Well made, inexpensive, an unbeatable combination with the right fit and finish. Definitely, recommend this if you're adding SSD's to your computer.

This was a good buy, in my opinion. Good price, and I like the cables it came with. The splitter was a must for me, and the option of a straight or 90 degree cable was nice. Having it come with the screwdriver was a nice touch, but it would have been massively better to have one with a magnetic tip. I could have just searched around the house to see if we had a magnetic tipped screwdriver that was that small, but I didn't think it would take that long. I underestimated the difficulty of getting the aggravatingly tiny screw to stay lined up while you try and get the upper ssd lined up with the stupid hole. But all of the pain of lining up the screws wasn't even as bad as dealing with the sata cable. The cable that came with the bracket was fine (since it came with a straight cable), but the 90 degree just didn't work at all. The problem was that I had to hook up two SSDs, but only had one straight cable (since the cable my computer was already using was also a 90 degree connector). The bracket mounts the SSD too far into the plate to allow the port to hang by the edge, so a 90 turn brings the connector straight into the metal. This forces you to flip the 90 the other direction, which then puts you straight into the other connectors for your second SSD. Thus, you have to put the 90 on the upper SSD instead of the lower one, but then the 90 points directly into the edge of my case/the 3.5 slot. The cable has to do this awkward, immediate 270 degree bend. I couldn't just put the 90 on the motherboard side, because the SATA ports there had the same problem, where a 90 on one would block the other SATA port. Overall, it fits, it works, I'm happy with it. The quality of the components are fine, and it isn't their fault that I don't have another straight connector lying around, and it isn't their fault that I have big, dumb fingers that hate working with tiny screws. But it would have been a nice touch if they had designed the mounting bracket edge to line up perfectly with the end of the 2.5 drive, allowing a 90 degree SATA connector to actually clear the bracket. But at this price, I probably shouldn't even be complaining.

This kit was helpful in allowing me to install two 2.5 inch drives in at 3.5 inch bay. I didn't need all of the cables or mounting screws, but it was nice to have them included. Having both a straight and a right angle SATA cable was a nice touch. I did have to order some blue hard drive mounting screws to install the bracket into my HP 6300 Pro SFF box, but that's another issue. All in all, it's a good kit with everything you should need to install one or two 2.5 inch SSD or hard drives in your computer. It was a good choice, and I'd buy it again.

I had a new Samsung 850 EVO SSD to install in my pc. This kit had everything. It turned out that I needed the SATA power cable and data extension/splitter cable. Those aren't things I'd have on hand. The little screwdriver was even magnetized. If I had one improvement, I did have to secure the drive slightly differently on the two sides. The tabs bend down, so you can line up the screw holes. For my drive, I think you'd need a vice grip or something to flatten it. As it was , when the screw was threaded on one side, it didn't quite reach the other. However, there was a side mounting screw hole that I used for the other side. It's all sturdy now. As someone who's really not a hardware guy, I appreciated this kit.

awesome! I love it, perfect, fits great. I have an HP envy with some quick release IDE drive, that I had to put the screws in this one loosely so it would use those on the track that is there, because i didn't have a way to screw it into the holders, my old hard drive had some huge headed screws that were meant for it, but didn't thread into the holder. I would buy again.

Includes enough SATA cables (1 with straight connectors on both ends and 1 with a straight and a 90 connector) and power cable adapters to install this adapter kit in just about any desk top/tower computer. Comes with plenty of screws to secure the adapter plate in a HDD bay with enough left to mount the SSD to the plate as well. It even has a screwdriver, just in case I suppose. Other more expensive adapter plates come with the plate only leaving it up to you to figure out what adapter cables you might need. This made my SSD install a "no trip" project!

This is an excellently developed aftermarket product for folks who assemble their own PCs. This came with everything I needed to install two SSDs in my new case. It even came with a very handy power cable, along with a couple of useful SATA cables. I'd highly recommend it and the vendor.

This kit is COMPLETE and perfect for the first time DIYer. You'll have extra parts left over so keep them for the next project. How to mount the drive: Use the upright flanges. It'll hold two 7mm drives or one 9mm+ drive (that's thickness). The four holes in the bottom of the bracket are for mounting an 80mm fan for cooling, not for mounting a drive. CAVEAT: This next part does not apply to 99.9% of the folks ordering this kit. I use a self-designed 5.25" drive carrier for all my drives because I maintain a large number of computers with numerous 5.25 drive bays and swapping drives is easier on a standardized carrier. Anyway, the carriers use 6-32 screws and this kit has 3mm holes at the case attachment points. The kit includes the 3mm screws so for the average person it's a non-issue. In my instance, I had to drill them out with a No33 bit and retap them with a 6-32.
