They Do Grip!

A bit more expensive than the other kitchen can bags I've been using but at least they stay on the trash can. I have an under the counter container built into the cabinetry and regular kitchen can bags are made for slightly larger cans and ultimately they fall down as the can fills. These do grip and stay up.

So glad these are still available!

These are the best kitchen bag available, by far. They have been discontinued by local retailers, so Amazon is the only alternative. The alleged Hefty replacement now in local retailers fits the top of our trash can too tightly, causing you to tear them or break fingernails removing the filled bag. Also, we rarely, if ever, have torn Gripper bags in use. They are in a class by themselves. We are glad that Amazon still has them!

Best Kitchen Bags on the Market

I bought these bags because of the gripper top and the unscented material. So often, bags that are supposed to be unscented really do stink! These, however, do not have a distinct odor and they do stay in place around a standard 13 gallon kitchen garbage can top. Plus, they have the straps that allow you to tie the bag shut. I am not a paid reviewer. I purchase merchandise from Amazon on a weekly basis. I wait until I have used the product to form an honest opinion of it before posting a review. I will answer questions unless I feel the seller should respond.

My Favorite Garbage Bags

These Hefty garbage bags are my favorite. The box contains 80 white. 13 gallon sized, drawstring bags. They are 1.0 mil thick. 2, easy to pull, rolls of 40 bags are in each box. I keep these everywhere, even a roll in each car. They don’t have strong, cloying fragrances. There is an Arm & Hammer label on the front, so I think Baking Soda is added to the product to keep smells down. This became difficult to find in our local grocery store, so I was delighted to find it in Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program, and I get them delivered on a monthly basis. I take care of orphaned, abandoned, injured animals. This bags have been a much-needed resource. They rarely fail. If a bag does, it’s usually due to a small snag I’ve made and liquid is present. If I have highly liquid wastes, I’ll double-bag it to be cautious, if I’m putting it inside my car to take to the transfer site. Otherwise, I just toss them into the back of the pickup. They will also stay nicely in garbage cans without stinking. I also wrap animal feed in these bags in outdoor storage to reduce fresh food smells that attract raccoons. It’s safe for the food and helps reduce raccoon destruction. After I use the feed, then these bags are repurposed for garbage bags. I find strong scents (including flowery fragrances in scented garbage bags) attract raccoons, so these are very helpful for feed and outside garbage cans. I usually tie down garbage can and storage bin lids with bungee cords, straps or rope to keep out pests. If I have unprotected feed or garbage in scented bags, raccoons will do anything they can to destroy the tiedowns or ingeniously squeeze into the cans to make a mess and enjoy a meal. When I wrap feed in these bags, and use these for garbage, the rate of intrusions and destruction drops significantly. I use these for more than just feed and garbage. Your imagination will enable you to find many uses for these handy, 99.99% leakproof, sturdy bags. I try to minimize plastic waste, so often I’ll use these bags for various helpful purposes, before they end up being used for garbage. I hope this review is helpful for you.

These are my favorite kitchen trash bags

I've been purchasing these bags for years and will be very sad if they ever discontinue. What I like about these bags is that they snugly fit around the trash can--some bags fall back into the can because the bag is loose. I've had different 13 gallon trash cans and this bag has fit them all. Don't stop making these! (I am buying three boxes right now)

Best garbage bags

I love these bags and was So happy they are on sell them Amazon because you cannot buy them in the store anymore. The price and speed of delivery were great. Would definitely recommend. They are the only bags that do not slip off the garbage pail and stay secure. Definitely recommend!

These Bags Are The Best

I like the black kitchen bags which are difficult to find in the stores. I have been buying the Hefty scented and unscented for 5+ years. The quality is always top notch. I don't think I've ever had a bag fall apart. They are just that good.

Smell nice and work well

These are great trash bags. I have never had one rip. They smell nice when putting them in the bin but the scent fades quickly. Will not cover bad smells

Easy to use, works well!

After having read many of the reviews both good and bad I decided to give these a try. I'm impressed. Look there are MANY differents diameters of 13 Gallon garbage cans, you can't make a bag for each size (well, you CAN, but you have to pay Simple Human's prices). Hefty split the difference, they are about 3" to big for my cans. I just pull about 4" of the pull string out from one side and knot it. Now it fits, I pull it way down on the can and put it in the slide out in the cabinet, push the bag down into the bottom of the can and it's good to go. I just wish they made EXACTLY the same bag in translucent blue for recycling, I still have to use a large silicone band for that. Great product, will buy again and again.
