  • This digital protractor tool is especially useful for crown moulding and flooring applications to make sure you get perfect cuts every time
  • Easily send inside and outside angle measurements to your smartphone with one click and quickly figure out compound angles with the ToolSmart App
  • Using the ToolSmart App, you can also quickly and easily determine the materials and tools you will need to complete your project
  • This next generation miter finder and angle measurement tool also incorporates a 10.5 in. ruler and horizontal & vertical bubble levels

This is a great tool. First ordered to calibrate a new compound mitre saw with excellent results. Now using for angle measurements for custom cuts, crown molding, etc. Very accurate and functional. I like how the tool can be re-zeroed at any angle, easily locked in place, switched to reverse angle, and turns off automatically. Five stars on this one.

Digital angle finder. How cool is that. Nice thing about this is I can fold it up and put it away for the day and next day just open it to the exact setting I was using. Accurate and repeatable. Great for cabinetry, millwork, even construction where angles are involved (although you should take better care of it than is usually the case when on construction jobs...still, I've used it there and it's a real time saver)

I have a small precision protractor, but it wasn't as useful when measuring angles on larger parts. I have found this to be as accurate as my non-digital protractor. You can change the measurement from inside to outside angles which is also a handy feature. It automatically turns off when not in use, and you can tighten the center screw to hole a position. This is helpful for preventing it from moving when using it for drawing and holding an angle. When it is tightened, it stays tight . Overall this is a great tool!

I have been installing crown and base molding and being able to get the actual corner angle has been a real treat. It has eliminated the guess work and recuts. It does what it is supposed to do.

This is one of those items that I wish I had owned for decades. I just did a project building some aluminum benches that I needed to get the angles just right so that the pieces could be mitered and welded and finished in the same shape. This made that much easier and saved time and material. I know that I will use it on many projects in the future - it is light to hold and quick and easy to set the zero and manipulate while holding pieces together by hand. Easy to read in the sun outside as well as inside.

electronic angle finder. this is nice. Received this yesterday, downloaded the pdf on how to use it (but found that the cardboard insert was actually folded in half, dang hands). Inserted the battery and finally got my DeWALT 780 straighten out. Thanks General! Some things to note - unit will shut down after a few minutes of inactivity. Battery + side goes down, towards the holder. make sure you have the unit on it's edge to zero it out correctly. don't tighten the joint too much, just a little bit is all that is needed. have fun!

I checked the accuracy of this gauge against a machinist straight edge for "straightness" of both scales and a machinist square for 90deg and both were dead on. I used a precision made triangle from Woodpeckers to check 45deg and it was exact also. It is a little long for checking angles on a miter saw but can be made to work. Works well setting up table saw angle cuts. There are many uses for this gauge and so far I am very pleased with it. I have found if you tighten the "knob" rather slowly it's not difficult to keep it at the desired angle. Haven't had it long enough to attest to it's functionality over a long time span. To me it's well worth the price.

I have several projects where I need to find the angle between two surfaces so that I can cut trim or structural members accurately. The results show, so they have to be right. This tool gives me the information I need to set my saw correctly and cut the parts accurately. Still measure twice and cut once.

I can't believe I didn't buy one of these a long time ago. It makes finding angles a process that takes a few seconds instead of minutes. I have read in some of the reviews the complaint that it doesn't have a power off button so you have to take out the battery. This is not entirely correct. It doesn't have an off switch but it times itself out after 5 min. For this price point, just buy it. It really does make a lot of my jobs easier.

This turned out to be a fantastic tool. Very accurate. Easy to calibrate, great battery life, and auto-off. For those of you having an issue with the Angle finder moving while tightening, during the taking of an angle. The key is, and always has been on this kind of tool, even the standard non-digital ones. Is to 'snug' the knob before taking the angle. Not loose, and not tight. Just snug so you can get the angle found, without having to completely tightening the knob.
