• Designed for sleep areas: bedrooms, bathrooms and hallways. Amber light provides soft safety Lighting for getting up during the night and waking up in the morning
  • Sleep-friendly amber LED emits 20 lumens of soft light at 600Nm, which makes it easier to fall asleep and has been proven to not disrupt sleep
  • Designed to get approximately one year’s worth of light on each set of batteries (not included) with average use of 8-10 activations a night
  • Motion and light sensors allow the light to turn on only when motion is detected in the dark. Auto shut off after 30 seconds of no motion helps prolong battery life
  • Battery powered for wireless installation in less than 5 minutes with the included screws or double-sided adhesive

EDIT: Still very happy with this light. Battery life lasted about 3 months before it started dimming a little. Began turning on by itself over and over without motion but replacing the batteries made it go back to normal. Definitely will buy again. As you can see in my attached photo, we have a tricky little step in our hallway next to the stairs as you exit the bedrooms. Both my dad and mother in-law tripped and fell here in the dark while visiting. There are no power outlets there to plug in a night light so I bought this battery powered one that comes with a motion and light sensor. The motion sensor is sensitive enough to trigger the light whenever anyone gets within 10 to 15 feet of the sensor which is great because it lights up the area more than enough to be able to see where you're going and any obstacles in the way well before you get there and the light sensor keeps it off during daylight to save battery. It shuts off after 20 seconds of no motion being detected. I attached it to the wall with the doublesided tape it came with and it's holding up very solid. You can permanently attach it with screws but I didn't want to put holes in the wall. I would definitely buy these again. Well worth it.

Like most people, my wife and I occasionally get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Our bedroom is essentially pitch black, so navigating your way around it at night could be... tricky. (One nearly fateful night we had suitcases on the floor for an upcoming trip. My wife, forgetting they were there, accidentally kicked one on her way to the bathroom. It made a VERY loud noise and scared the you-know-what out of me. Surprised I didn't end up in the cardiac cath lab. Anyway, after my pulse finally came back down below 100, I decided we NEEDED to get some night lights.) After extensive research into different night lights I decided to purchase these. We placed two of them on the floor of the bedroom against two different walls and one on the floor of the bathroom itself (it's a large bathroom). Because they are on the floor they do not pick up any movement on the bed, but as soon as either of us steps out of bed they turn on and provide plenty of light on the floor, but because the light is warm and directed downward, it does not bother the other person who is still in bed. They all then turn off by themselves 20 seconds or so after they stop detecting motion. And the best part is, I didn't even have to mount these on a wall (though doing so looks very easy). We just set them on the floor against the wall and they work perfectly. Voila. No more stubbed toes, and no more scaring me to death at two o'clock in the morning.

I have a stairway that gets very dark at night and I worry about missing a step. This is motion-activated light-sensitive so only turns on when activated and it is dark. It provides plenty of light, directed downward, so that the steps are illuminated. It is motion sensitive to about 8' away, where I have it positioned. I do wish it could have the light sensitivity adjusted, because it still turns on when there is still a reasonable amount of dim ambient light, and I'd prefer to limit it to when it is near pitch-black. But it is exactly as advertised. It can be mounted by two screws, or double-sided tape (I used the tape). Here is a photo of what it looks like in my stairway (sorry I can't get the photos to upload in the correct orientation - but you can get the idea I think).

Just what I wanted. Lower night lighting.. easy to install.. batteries so far have lasted. One thing I love about Mr.Beam products is the batteries last longer especially if they are not motioned activated as often. I've bought other products, where in the end the batteries needed to be replaced so often it ruins the value of the product. I have indoor/outdoor night lights I installed around my house under the eves by MR BEAM and I've had batteries that have not needed to be changed for over a year now.

This is a neat little light. I was skeptical of claims that the batteries would last for a year with 8-10 uses per night. I decided to try it out by connecting some test equipment and measuring the electrical power use with it in standby (i.e. waiting for you to trip it) and with the light tripped and turned on. First off the thing has a very tiny power draw when in standby, and it also has an impressive detection range. It picked me up from about 15 feet away. The light draws a bit more power than advertised, but you will almost get a year of service with 8 uses per night. Here are the numbers: Uses Per Night, Days Until Batteries Are Dead 1 Use per Night, Batteries Last about 2 years. 8 Uses per Night, Batteries Last 320 days. 20 Uses per Night, Batteries last about 6 months. These numbers include standby power and power to run the LED. This also assumes you use good AA batteries - Duracell copper top or equal. Expect about half those times with cheaper batteries.

Beautiful ambient and functional! Just what I was looking for, for those times when you need to walk around a pitch black bedroom, or need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night or anything else of the like. I am a very light sleeper and if a light is too bright, I will not fall back to sleep. This warm amber colour is incredibly relaxing and super cozy. The build of these lights is high quality and sturdy. You can tell alot of thought went into manufacturing and designing this product. The package also comes with several different ways to attach the product. Also, as you can see the lights softly light up my entire bathroom. Love it. Highly recommended!

I bought two of these, at separate times. The first one works fine. It's a *little* bright, and it's in the hallway right outside the master bedroom, and I wish I could figure out a good way to dim it (maybe a good color of translucent plastic to place over the light panel?) but it works as it should. Now, I wish I could remember which kind of batteries I put in it (and really don't wanna take it down and open it to check, sorry). The 2nd one -- after a couple of days -- started staying on ALL the time when it's dark in the hallway, shutting off for a second or two periodically. I *think* we just fixed this. We opened that one up and replace the generic heavy-duty batteries in it with Energizer alkalines, and so far it's behaving properly. (I put the batteries in the first light, and suspect I would've chosen the Energizers in lieu of the cheap ones we seem to have a stockpile of. My mate has so far not been entirely convinced of the superiority of alkaline batteries.) Also, why on earth the battery compartment has screws with PLASTIC heads... yuck. Use all-metal screws, Mr. Beams. Other than that, Mr. Beams, you've made my nighttime trips to the bathroom and kitchen a lot better.

I put one of these into my kids' bathroom and like it so much I ordered two more for my other bathrooms, plus a six-pack of the smaller ones for the stairwell. The light is bright enough to see what you're doing or where you're stepping, without being so bright that it blinds you when they turn on. The motion sensor and ambient light sensor are a lot more reliable than I was expecting. Overall, it gets an A+. The only con worth mentioning is the double-sided tape - if your wall is textured, you're better off using a 3M Command Strip. The one that comes with the light will not stick for long. Update 3/25/2018: I added in the two additional lights shortly after the first one and am still loving them. They're the perfect color temperature and intensity to allow you to see what you're doing without blinding you, waking anyone up or making it so you can't go back to sleep. The little ones are great, too (I use them in the stairwell) but I added amber tint film to try to match them to these. Used constantly but haven't needed to change the batteries yet.

This is a nice little night light. It might not be the brightest, but that's kind of the point. Pros: - AA batteries are cheap and common - Easy setup - Amber light is easier on the eyes - Motion sensor is reliable Cons: - LED could be diffused better at the source. The LED itself is a quite bright if you look directly at it. I recommend mounting it well below eye level, pointing down. - Timer can't be adjusted. This seems like a great easy option to add. I'd pay a little extra for that feature. 30,60,120, and maybe 300 second presets would be great.

These lights are exactly what I needed. We do not have any lighting for our stairway to the second floor of our home, so I used these 3 and placed them along the baseboards at the top, middle, and bottom of the stairs. They cast a warm amber glow that is not harsh on your sleepy eyes, and provides a healthy amount of light for me to feel safer navigating the steps. The motion sensor picks up when I am about 8 feet away, and the light goes off after 30 seconds on no motion detected. Nice feature is that the lights do not come on when daylight is detected! Each device is about the size of two decks of cards side by side, and takes 4 AA batteries. They can be mounted with the included hardware (anchors, screws, and mounting plate) or using the included adhesive strips, which I elected to use. I will be ordering another set for our basement stairs.
