I use the wheels for a platform for my 8 inch telescope. The telescope is now stored fully assembled in the garage. When I want to use it I can wheel the whole platform and scope out onto the driveway for viewing. The casters roll smoothly on the asphalt driveway … actually requiring very little effort to move the scope. (My driveway is level with the garage floor) The locks on the wheels lock the platform in place securely for the evening. I looked at several different caster types before choosing these. My choice came down to the locking method. The locks on the casters 'bite' into the wheels and hold the whole setup nice and secure. This arrangement is not as steady as having the telescope on the ground, but it allows me to continue using the telescope. Lifting the scope to assemble it was no longer a viable choice. The casters are solid steel construction with ball bearings.

This is a great product. I wanted to take my shelves and finally make them mobile. The particular shelving unit I have was gravity based to hold it together. To accommodate I had to build a base for it, then add these wheels to it. I could not be more satisfied. They roll easy. Lock into position (axle and direction rotation) easily. They are very stable, no side to side shifting or shaking on the bearings. Exactly what I was looking for my project. Even is stable enough to allow me to do some light work on top (it's a low shelf) with basic hammering and pressing.

I always try to buy US made products and these are from China but they seem to be of good quality. I bought them for a dolly that I mounted an air compressor hose and reel on. All four swivel so they position themselves well on non leveled surfaces and when you engage the locks, not only do they prevent the wheels from rolling but they also prevent them from swiveling. Again, this works well on my non level driveway - the dolly is stable and doesn't slide around when pulling and retracting the compressor hose. The wheels are heavy, they roll and swivel smoothly and don't feel cheap or sloppy. These work perfectly for my needs.

I'm very happy with these wheels. I used them for my workbench. They seem very sturdy and well made. I was very impressed with how securely they lock. Not only does the wheel lock, but also the rotation/swivel locks, so my workbench is very stable when they are locked. I was worried it would wobble with caster wheels on it but I can't feel any wobble at all. When unlocked I can move hundreds of pounds effortlessly. The only down side is I had to make a separate trip to the hardware store to get the screws. No screws are included.

Everything I hoped for in a castor and I'm pretty picky. These are excellent quality, roll smooth and are very sturdy. The locks work well. Mine arrived as a deeper red than I expected from the pictures however I suspected as much as I read other reviews first so there were no surprises. I would easily buy these again if I needed more castors.

These wheels are solid and lock very well. They lock and unlock with a satisfying *snap* which holds well, but it's too hard to change from locked to unlocked and vice-versa. Quick and easy to install with some screws and washers. I put these on a workbench and I was worried that there might be some slop or wobbling if they didn't lock well, but I haven't had that problem. My workbench isn't extremely heavy, but it's probably a couple hundred pounds. I have a mitre saw and table saw built into my workbench, which adds some weight an requires a pretty stable platform. With even 2 wheels locked it's pretty stable, but with all 4 locked, it's just as stable as it was when it was stationary. When the wheels are unlocked it rolls very freely, even with considerable weight onboard. This makes it very easy to roll it up against the wall for storage and out to work on something even for a quick project. That's a huge benefit, I didn't want this to be a chore to move out or put away.

Bought these to support my mobile workbench. You can see from the pictures it's pretty heavy. These casters roll easy and have held up well.

In the past I have bought wheels at Lowes, (their best wheels) but was never totally happy with them. I needed to put some heavy workbenches on wheels. I went on Amazon and spent quite a long time looking at many different wheels. I finally decided these wheels looked the best, so I ordered 1 set. When they came I couldn't believe how heavy and well made they were. While the picture of them is ok, it can not do them justice. I ordered 5 more sets. Yes they are that good! I'm putting most everything in my workshop on wheels to give me more working room. I also love the way the brake is designed, it's so easy to lock or unlock with my toe.

Used these to replace very cheap swivel casters on two separate Harbor Freight tool carts (not tool cabinets). Since the tool carts only weight a few hundred pounds when loaded down these casters are strong enough and work very well. The locking mechanism really engages well. I "would not" recommend these on a heavy tool chest. I don't think the swivel could handle that much weight. If you decide to use the as I did (on a Harbor Freight tool cart, you will need to drill additional holes in your cart. I was able to use two of the stock holes and drill two additional holes (make sure to use a center punch so you can accurately locate the holes). You will also have to shorten the bolts slightly to let these casters swivel without any interference. Well worth the price!!!
