NICE!

I was very pleased with this item. It did take me some time to put it together I will admit (I am an old woman!), but was worth the effort. The pieces arrived well packed. The were clearly marked and the directions were easy to follow. Only had one minor problem with the parts but it was easily fixed. It is not made of particle board but laminated hardwood. The top is beautiful. It has provided much needed space in our kitchen. ***An electric screwdriver would make the process much quicker if you have one available.

Worth the effort

Hubby is absolutely wonderful at putting things together for me. What would one expect when a surgeon gets a tool in his hand. This kitchen cart was a challenge to put together for me. I am a dunce. Still, it came out nicely. I have two of them and they both are quite useful. All seams are straight and all moving parts slide/close as expected. The top is sturdy and attractive but I wouldn't let a staining product (beets, red wine, etc.) sit on it but I haven't done that either so who knows.

WOW

This arrived in less than 24 hrs after placing my order! I can't even comprehend that. Way better than shopping in person. The delivery was another thing altogether. It was left on the walkway, and not even attempted to put on my porch. I had to call my son who immediately picked up one end and could have gotten it on the porch by himself. Luckily he had some help. NOW to my awesome Kitchen Kart... I love love love it. It looks awesome in my small space buti t hass lots of storage. It only took my son a little over an hour to put it together.. For the most part it went together with ease. He said there were a couple of issues with putting the drawers together and screwing the back panel on that wouldhave been easier to do if completed in another order rather than the way the instructions listed. Now with the quality of the Kart...hmmm... love it for the most part but there are some issues with the hinge for the drop leaf... it was put on incorrectly and there fore the leaf doesnt fit right on the support. Also the doors dont fit even which is due to the holes being incorrectly placed. But those two issues are minor and I wouldnt even considersending it back... I am ecstatic.

Spacious, sturdy, easy to assemble

So, as stated, it is spacious, sturdy, and easy to assemble! A friend put it together over a couple hours while I was cooking dinner. It isn't so heavy that I couldn't lift it (filled) and put coasters under the wheels. He used a drill and a screwdriver, and didn't find one beneficial over the other. The shelves in the main compartment are made with the use of pins you push into holes, so you choose your own height. The drawers, surprisingly, hold a lot. The one photo of the 3 pulled out - the bottom is completely extended. For depth, one drawer has a 2c measuring cup with tons of room above. Also, one drawer is holding a set of 10 dinner plates, plenty of room around them. For the shelving, that's a crock pot on the bottom, an 8c rice maker (is not touching top shelf) and standard toaster, and plain old mixing bowls. Tons of room! Lastly, it is kind of narrow, but that's what the super awesome fantastic flip up addition is for. I've only had it assembled for a week, and haven't moved it around a ton, so take that for what it is worth. Pardon the sideways photos.

Looks awesome!

I had no trouble assembling it. Had it together in about four hours. Would have been faster, but my knees aren't so good. It assembled clean and square, no troubles. Arrived in great condition, no dings or dents. Only needed one person with a rubber mallet, a screw driver of each kind and the hex key in the package. Very simple to do. Now the funny part... I went to put my silverwear retainer in the drawer and it didn't fit long way. The short side was able to go in, but the drawer is too shallow. Then the drawers hit the hinges and clank together just a hair. There is probably an adjustment.... I think it's in the roller rail somehow. I'm going to investigate other options, but was a bit startled. Still... plenty of time and i didn't open the stools yet, so I don't know if it is okay in the ballance. Seemed to be surprisingly solid on it's feet.... heavier than i expected. Not at all easy to push. I like that. :) Will update if anything is wrong, but just assume I'm happily enjoing my fat gorgeous island :)

It is so beautiful and handy...does not take up much room...it really catches everyone's eye...one drawer had a little roller broken but I can still use it...love it!

Fantastic!

I have bought and assembled enough furniture to tell you that most "need to assemble" furniture are a pain to put together mostly because of the bad or vague instruction and improper labeling of the parts. I am delighted to say that this was not the case here. This one not only came with clear and precise instructions but each piece was clearly labeled and with an arrow so you don't make the mistake of putting a piece upside down. Each set of screws were also clearly labeled as to what and where they should go. It took me roughly 45 minutes to put this one together all by myself. I must say it looks beautiful.

Beautiful and practical!!!

This cart was delivered two days after ordering. It came in one large box (extremely heavy) and packaged very nicely with no damage. My boyfriend assembled it for me which took two hours.... so many pieces but each clearly marked. This piece is very sturdy, provides so much more storage than expected and works perfectly in my narrow kitchen. With three large dogs, I was concerned they would be able to push it around, but that just isn't the case. It is quite solid and stays put. Some reviews experienced an off gassing smell, but I did not. I highly recommend this cart / island!!!

Best kitchen island after a long hunt

Trust me on this, you gonna save some big bucks while investing in an spacious, good quality island kitchen. I read about of all them, checked prices, went back always to this one and gave it a try. I was beyond impressed with the simplicity and the organization of this product. Everything was labeled with Letters so it was actually fun to build. They even left extra screws just in case you lost one in the process (take note IKEA) See pictures attached. If you have any questions let me know.
