Pressed out my bearings no problem on a Hyundai elantra. Pretty good quality. Will pay for itself on my 2nd use. Remove hub, won't explain that one cause this tool is just for removing the bearing, you will need a puller to remove the hub. Makes it easier to remove the whole spindle( with hub already removed from the spindle) and put it on a good bench vise. It can also be done one the vehicle. The tool has to be straight on the bearing and spindle. The back of my spindle is not flat, so I wedged a wrench just to create a little support and keep it straight, see pictures, the red circle is the wrench on the inside of the cup. Just make sure the wrench does not get in the way of the bearing that will be coming out. I used a 12inch adjustable wrench on the bolt. On the nut a breaker bar with a 32mm axle nut socket. Put grease on the bolt, nut and washer on the friction points I put some heat with a mapp torch around the inside rear part of the spindle, see picture, does not require much heat. Be careful with this, have a clean bench with a fire extinguisher near and all your safety equipment. Start turning it with the breaker bar, you could use an impact, but it's harder to tell if it's binding up. Comes out easy with the right preparation. I am in California hardly any rust problems out here. If you live in a location where there is a lot of rust, soak the parts in some type of rust solution. Good luck everyone, hope this helps.

Works mint, just pressed out and pressed in new wheel bearings in my escape in no time. You will also need an 1 1/8 six point socket on a breaker bar, and a 1 1/4 six point socket on a decent impact gun. You can't use an 1 1/8 wrench, has to be a socket. I used a Milwaukee m18 gun, worked great. You could probably get away without the gun, but it would suck. I dipped the main bolt in used motor oil first, didn't have any problem of the bolt ruining it's threads as some other reviewers did.

So much easier than pulling everything apart to drive it out old school. Worked great, just make sure to use plenty of lube on all bearing surfaces. (Threads, washers etc.) Just wish there was a really small one to help get out the hub assembly with a slide hammer. I guess I'll have to buy a full slide hammer kit next. Once I had the hub out, this kit worked like a charm. Glad I got it. Cheaper than HF.- Bonus....

Bought this to replace a wheel bearing in an 05 Altima 2.5L I4 automatic trans. Kit is exactly as advertised. Pulled the old bearing and pushed in the new one with this kit without any problems. The threading on the screw is completely undamaged, I applied high quality wheel bearing grease, liberally on all the moving parts of device, Screw threading, washers, large nut threading. Wheel bearing replacements are pricey, and this kit makes it possible to remove and press a new bearing (usually $30-$45) for total about 100 bucks, and now you have a new tool set :-) You can also do the replacement without Re-aligning the vehicle, as this kit allows you to pull bearings with the hub on the car still, just pop the control arm off the bottom of the steering knuckle. Also,I recommend ONLY replacing wheel bearings with Timken/NSK bearings. High quality OEM/better grade.

I bought this to replace wheel bearings on a Polaris 4x4. I was very pleased with the quality and ease of use to remove and install bearings. It is much stronger than I expected and saved a lot of time in replacing the bearings. It only takes a couple minutes to remove a bearing. No hammering, no punches, no rods or custom jigs needed to remove or replace the bearings. Kit comes with many different size drifts and drivers to accommodate most size bearings. The only negative is it did not have any instructions. I found some on the web and taped it to the top of the box for future reference. Use plenty of grease on threads and make sure to start new bearing square before pressing it on and check for square frequently.

This kit is great. It was used on speed's rear brearings and it went smoothly. I goofed once and forgot to remove the c-clip before removing a bearing. Since I thought the basic was being stubborn, I cranked down on bolt with an impact wrench till it quit. I thought I might have damaged the bolts threads but they're still fine. So, my biggest worry about this kit (bolt durability) is alleviated for me.

Glad I bought this kit to do the bearing replacement on my Honda Fit. I pulled the knuckle off the car and I used a hydraulic press (20 Ton from Harbor Freight). Nice having all of the sizes. I would also recommend using the large bearing separator from Harbor Freight to press the hubs. I could not imagine pulling them with a slide hammer. I don't know about the longevity of the bolt but the literature indicates this is a wear item and not warranted. The case arrived pretty beaten up as there was no padding in the box.

Awesome kit! I should have bought this kit a long time ago. It has saved me so much time in replacing front hub bearing assemblies. I replace quite a few being a tech and shop owner. Tip: Try not to use an impact while removing and during install. ALWAYS lube the shaft/screw. Use a bearing if you can between the washer and plate/cup to drive in or out.

I was pleasantly surprised at the difference this set made in replacing pressed wheel bearings. I used it on my third bearing job and it was by far the easiest of the three jobs. Definitely need a good impact wrench for it to work properly.

This is a well-made, versatile set of wheel bearing bushings, adapters, and pressing tool that I got for about $30 less than a similar set I was considering from a discount tool retailer whose initials are "HF." I immediately put this set to work to press in a new front wheel bearing on a 2008 Honda Ridgeline. I first had to press the bearing into the steering knuckle, followed by pressing the wheel hub into the bearing. This set worked great and made the job easy! All of the components in the set appeared to be well finished and shipped with a protective layer of oil to avoid rust. The blow molded case is convenient and sturdy, and the tool components fit well in their designated slots. I also wanted to make a couple of points about issues other reviewers raised with this set: 1) Using the tool to press in a bearing ruined the threads on the screw -- The key to avoiding this problem is to lube the heck out of the screw each time you use it. I took no chances and used a generous amount of general purpose grease to lubricate the screw, and it showed no damage after the two pressing operations I described above. 2) The adapters and bushings have numbers instead of diameters stamped on them, making it more awkward to figure out what sizes you need for your particular vehicle -- This set comes with a small booklet provides instructions and diagrams for using it on common brands of vehicles. The diagrams include call-outs showing the bushing and adapter numbers you should use, which you can cross-reference with a diagram and parts list for the set on the last page of the booklet. This makes it easy to quickly pick out the right mix of bushings and adapters for your vehicle, and I don't feel it takes any longer than measuring and matching up diameters on your bearing and tool.
