I have had lower back pain, into buttocks and down thigh. My chiropractor advised me to purchase this roller....didn't think it would work but it sure does. It feels so good and hits the right spots. It has been loosening up those tight muscles. I'm so happy I listened to my Chiropractor. The company who makes this product is wonderful. They follow up via email and actually give you their phone number if you need any help or questions. Wonderful quality.

I gave this 5 stars for it does just as it says. I have lower back pain and the muscles on the left side of my back tighten up. I always had to go to the gym and use one of their machines to roll out the muscle tension, but now I can roll it out at home. I fine that the roller works best while I am sitting in a chair. I put the roller in my computer chair and press upon it where the muscle is the tightest and I can tell you it is painful at first, but after a few streights the muscle begins to relax. There are a couple models of this and they have different prices. This was the cheaper model and I recommend this, for I can't see how the other models could do more.

I've only used this once so far, so I can't comment on how well it holds up. But holy crap!!! I think it's gotten knots out I've had for 10 years. Using it was absolute heaven. I actually HEARD muscle knots popping around, which sounds gross, but feels wonderful. I've tried other massager type things, but nothing has really worked. It also helped me stretch out my thoracic and lumbar areas of my back which is going to help me get my back bends deeper in yoga without putting stress on the lower back. Update: I’ve had it almost a year and a half now, use it somewhat regularly, and it’s in great shape! Really holds up!

Love this roller!! I have very tight hips due to working in retail (on my feet all day) and problems with my lower back. I have used regular rollers in physical therapy and they were ok, but the first time I used this roller I felt a difference immediately... I use it in the morning and at night and I am feeling great! I highly recommend using this product!!

I have this in green. I have never used a deep tissue roller before, so wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with it. Originally I thought it would be something that someone else could roll over your back to help massage it. When I opened the package, I was excited about being able to roll on it myself. It didn't come with any instructions, which is a bummer, but you can google deep tissue rollers online and it will give you lots of ideas of how to use it. You can use it to roll your legs, calves, back, neck, shoulders, ect. I have found that the roller is pretty hard at first. It actually bruised my back really badly. But then I found out that I wasn't using it the correct way. I was putting all of my weight on it as I was rolling back and forth. Apparently you have to use some "core" muscles to help with your strength. I do love that I can roll my lower legs after a long day at work, and feel like its loosening my muscles up. I tend to carry a lot of my stress in my neck and shoulders, so to roll that part of my body feels really good. I love to put the roller under my neck and rock back and forth, The roller has different sides to it. Patterns that can be used for different types of massage. Two sides have smoother longer ridges, and the other 2 sides have smaller more rough ridges kind of like tire treads. They both feel great, but for different uses. I love that the roller comes with a lifetime guarantee. I know that after using this for several months, its not going to fall apart. I love that they will guarantee it with normal wear and tear. I received this product at a discount for my honest review. I definitely use this deep tissue massage roller a lot. My kids love it too. They love to roll around on it.

I really like this - bought it for use with the Beachbody program that incorporates "foam rolling" and it does exactly what it says it's supposed to, and is about half the price of many other advertised similar items. Seems sturdy, and if you get proper instruction on how to use it you definitely get a good muscle roll with it. I'm very happy with it!

Meri~ly Meri~ly Mery~ly meryly my back is like a dream~ For stretching, massaging and working out any knots of your muscles, this has been a pressure reliever! Never understood the concept of these things until my wife got one at home and its been great. I will roll around the mat with it and work out any back pains or leg cramps. Pink is not my choice of color but if I stretch with my lights dimmed...no one will see me lol. Good stuff

I'd had left upper back pain for close to a year, the kind that makes it impossible to sleep on that side and really uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time. I'd tried focused myofascial release with cork balls on the area, and while that provided some temporary relief, it didn't last. At the advice of my sister-in-law, I tried this foam roller. It provided the same kind of temporary relief at first, but after using for perhaps a month, the pain has gone and stayed away. I can't be positive that was due to this roller or natural healing, but I think the roller definitely helped in this process and feels great to use.

Just want to say about the few people posting pictures of the "bruising"- that is not technically a bruise, it is what's called petechiae. And it's one of the main reasons I bought this roller. This particular roller does a great job at not only rolling the deeper, taught muscle tissues out but also stimulates and breaks up scar tissue and the myofascia. If you bruise like some of those pictures after only a few minutes of use I would highly recommend having someone gua sha your back because petechiae occurs when there is stagnant blood that can be pushed through the compromised capillary walls and it settles in the capillary bed where it is then reabsorbed by the body and this stimulation of circulation increases the anti-inflammatory, pain-reduction, immune system functions in the body. As opposed to a bruise which is when healthy capillaries are ruptured through blunt force causing blood to soak into the tissue. So I give this roller 5 stars because it does what I bought it to do. If you're looking for more muscle rolling less circulation increasing and myofacia stimulating I would look into a roller with a smoother surface.
