I have tried recording music with other devices with terrible results, ie. static from lights, un-grounded power in the building, and low cycle hum. With this recorder I could eliminate 95% of those problems, the rest of the problems were reduced using CuBase 5 program after transferring the files from the Zoom H6, a most remarkable device.

Simply works and works great!

Tried to make a decision between the H4N Pro and the H6. H6 is only a little bit more money, but adds more flexibility to what you can connect to at the same time, and the Zoom mics are great. Delivery was perfect and fast, on the week of Christmas, so I was delighted when it came "next day".

The product was shipped quickly and the extras that came with the recorder enables anyone to quickly set up their own audio recording studio. This was money well spent.

The HN-6 is a recording studeo.

Absolutely, the best. I have two. Having two makes moving from 6 tracks, or , any singles tracks quicker, into the L R stereo tracks of no. 2 recorder. Trick is to mix as you record on recorder no 1. I also bough a third recorder for my son to keep him from taking one of mine. Study the manual there is so much the United 6 has to offer. Get the hd 6 because on the stereo output.

Great product you must have it

Great product you must have it. There are a lot of microphones out there for your laptop, but Zoom H6, no only work with outstanding performance with its own mics, but also it works as an audio interface that you can connect a whole music band (keyboards, guitars, voices, etc) to your computer.

Easy to Use Recording Equipment

I picked up this recording kit to use for a graduate school class. It works well and has an easy to use interface. One thing that I did notice when I picked up this item and a microphone, neither came with an XLR cable, so you will need to purchase that separately. It also works very well with the shotgun mic that you can purchase separately and attaches to the top of the recorder.

Portable Studio

I love this little thing. I am an audio engineer student currently and I was looking for something I could use for location recording. I use the extra XLR inputs all the time for spot mics. It’s like having your own little studio on the go. I also use it as an audio interface straight into pro tools or logic which is very handy as well. Different levels of phantom are available as well as limiters and pass filters. The stereo and XY mic included are actually very nice. The XY capsules are actually quite large. The sound quality is better than I expected and I tend to use the XY quite frequently. It’s really a great tool to have if you are looking for something portable and reasonably priced.

A great recorder, and so versatile

The Zoom H6 is a great portable recorder. I'm getting much more battery life than advertised, and the stereo separation with the X-Y mic is fantastic. Can't wait to put it to more use in the months and years ahead. Also, the accessory kit is well worth the extra money.

Sound quality is worth the price

The h6 was a great buy for evp research and the rest of the items came in handy. This is something I set up in my workspace to communicate with spirits using 4 dynamic microphone array to capture the whole room.
