• 2 tools in 1: pole chainsaw or chainsaw
  • Ideal for cutting overhanging limbs and thin logs
  • Telescoping pole extends to 8.6 ft.
  • Powerful 8-amp motor cuts branches up to 7.5-inches thick
  • 8-inch Oregon cutting bar and chain with automatic lubrication

Very easy to use either extended (including fully extended) or as a conventional chainsaw, cuts fast and easy. Easy to setup and convert back and forth. It is plenty powerful to cut hardwood tree limbs with thick bark and large diameter. In hindsight maybe the 10" bar would be better for these larger limbs as the motor seems to have ample power.

I used it this past weekend and it worked flawlessly. Putting it together was very easy and was pretty simple to use. I trimmed some tall tree branches and it went through them with great ease. It sure was a lot better than my manual pole saw. There is NO oil included in my package. So some questions answered on Amazon are incorrectly stating it does. It's possible that maybe older packages had included a sample bottle but as of 2019 there is none in the package. So be sure to buy some if you buy this product. I bought a rather large bottle of oil, and I used a funnel to fill the oil. Just be wary that the oil reservoir isn't that large so be careful when you pour. I overfilled mine and had to clean up a bit of oil because a lot came out of the new full bottle when I poured it. One thing to mention, it is heavier than it looks when you use it. The farther the extension the more strain on your arms and the more awkward the balance is so use caution when fully extending it since it will tire out your arms much faster. The pole chain saw saved me time over the manual pole saw I used, but in terms of tiring me out it was about the same due to the weight. The extension mechanism is really easy to use and it's a quick clamp so it makes it real easy to adjust the length of the pole. The locking mechanisms seem to be sturdy and I didn't have any issues with them. The only minor nitpick was the safety on the trigger. You have to press it down before the trigger can be pulled, but I really couldn't tell if It was pressed or not. It didn't click or move very far from it's default position especially with gloves on. I could only tell I didn't properly press it down when the trigger wouldn't go down. IMHO Sun Joe should use a taller button so there is more of a tactile feel even with gloves on. Overall I recommend the product.

I bought this to trim an Oak tree that was hanging over my work shop and for the money this saw works great. In the photos the tree had covered about 25% of the roof and needed to be trimmed. It took only minutes to trim the tree back and went through a 4 inch branch with ease. One of my best purchase as far as price vs effectiveness. Highly recommended.

I was hesitant to buy this, but I am so glad that I did. I had used a pole saw in the past, but this thing just cut right through every thing I threw at it. I am now kicking myself for not buying one sooner. It cut my job to a fraction of the time I had spent in the past doing the same job. What was nice after dropping the limbs it took just a second to change to a chainsaw trim up the limbs. We have curbside pickup, but nothing can exceed 6' pieces. No problem with this. I love it and it seems to be a great design that will last. I will advise if anything happens to change my mind.

Currently, very happy with my purchase. Cut through several fruit trees that hadn't been trimmed in years. It's been a month or so since I received my saw- the trees are doing great. The saw is operating perfectly for me.

This electric chainsaw is low cost and light weight but it is mighty! The day I got it, I used it to trim trees in a friends back yard and the next day took it to church to trim trees around the grounds with a bunch of other guys. It easily cuts off limbs that are about 4 to 5 inches in diameter as the blades are really sharp. The ability to convert between a pole saw and chainsaw is nice. Converting between the two configurations only takes about 10 seconds and doesn't require any tools...just a push of a button. Great saw for the money!

I love this small chainsaw! It is perfect for small(er) trees and limbs and also perfect for women. Trust me, if a middle age, out of shape, cancer survivor can use this saw anyone can. So glad I opted for the one that converts from handheld to pole saw. The pole saw takes a little practice and feels "top heavy" but once a few limbs come down you will want to just keep going. Converting it to handheld (or back to pole saw) takes about 10 seconds. Wish I had bought one of these years ago so I wouldn't have so much trimming and cutting to do now.

After using this SUN JOE SWJ806E, I like everything about this Pole saw; Light, sturdy, pole extends very easily, very sharp 8" chain (7.5" cut) that goes through limbs like a hot knife slicing butter, great automatic chain oiler w/oil reservoir... Detaches from pole to use like conventional chainsaw, strong 8 amp motor (don't know why the item header says 7.5 amp?) it is an 8 amp motor, chain tension adjustment screw, electric (good for the environment) ... If you a looking for a electric extendable pole chain saw, consider this one as I highly recommend...

Assembly was quick and easy - videos on YouTube to assist. Love the power and ease of cutting small limbs - like a hot knife through butter. I used the chainsaw for the first time for several hours this past weekend. I was very impressed and pleased with its cutting power. Some of the limbs were old and dry. Others were new and with sap. As I was cutting, I began to see the possible limitations because of the length of the chain. Also - I bought Bar and Chain Oil. In the past with an "old" electric chain saw I used 30 W and noticed the sawdust clumping with oil. Not with the Bar and Chain oil. I have not used the chain saw with the extension pole yet and will update this review when I do as well as in a few months after more usage. I highly recommend this chain saw.

works like a champ. Easy to install the bar/chain assembly - it comes ziptied together so that you can't put it on wrong/upside down. Comes with a multitool that adjusts the chain tension and also clamps the bar in place, very simple. After adding the supplied oil I was off to the races - plenty powerful and sturdy - this easily cut a 10" branch with no issues, (I think the 7.5" is in reference to cutting something that is vertical, where it would pinch on the saw as it is cut. When cutting a branch that is horizontal, from the top, the cut opens itself up and there is no pinching on the saw.). Even when fully extended the pole isn't flimsy. Very convenient being able to put the saw and handle together so you can just have a mini electric chainsaw when you don't need to be reaching up in the air.
