Basics Wallet + Billfold

Here's my wallet journey that got me to this. I started with a regular bifold that everyone starts off with. Then it got too bulky. Then I started looking intl minimalist wallets. Many of them were too minimalist in utility that made their usage cumbersome. I really likes the Basics wallet due to its draw strap that bulls out the card but the pocket for cash required folding bills twice to fit in. This was the problem with most minimalist wallets. This wallet solved the problem. It has a billfold, has a slot of drivers license, a draw strap, and an extra slot for the main card.

I've had this wallet for 2 weeks now. The item looks just like the photo and I'm impressed with the quality of the stitching as well as the leather itself. I have some small bills, 1 card in the easy access slot, 3 cards behind my license, 4 in the tab slot, and 5 total in the 2 slots across from my license. I'd definitely buy again (but hope I won't need to for awhile)!

Great support and great build quality

I received my wallet with a defective wallet clip that wouldn't hold any tension. I emailed there customer support and they sent me a replacement the next day for free. In terms of the wallet, the build quality is really great. There are no loose threads on the stitching like other wallet's I've bought and I love the quick access slot for my most used card. If you carry coins with you might not like this wallet as there isn't a slot to carry coins but if you pay mostly with credit/cash you'll like the slimness that this wallet offers even when stuffed with a ton of cash and cards. I haven't tested the claimed rfid blocking capabilities so I'm not sure if it actually works. Regardless of that this is a really great wallet at this price point.

A slim, compact wallet that holds everything I need!

I'm kind of an" in betweener". I've been trying to find the perfect minimalist wallet that can carry the 2 cards I need for my business and another 3 or 4 for personal use (6 cards plus driver's license and insurance cards) in the least bulky wallet I could find. Amazon has a bunch of similar ones to this Serman Brands Traveler Wallet. This one costs more, but still a lot less than the ones featured in minimalist wallet articles on the web. The video testimonial on the this wallet was a real help making the choice.Things I like are the easy access outside pocket with thumb hole for my everyday card, the rfd protected pouch with pull tab, and the 2 additional rfd protected slots on the inside. The wallet is as compact as it can be. What determines the thickness is how many cards I carry stacked up and how much cash is in the money clip. It's all leather and I took the time to decide what to load in it and then kinda massaged it with its contents to get the edges to conform around all the cards I carry while watching a game on TV. It feels even more compact and shaped now. I wanted my bank debit and credit cards protected in the inside slots, so I taped small flex plastic finger pull tabs on the ends facing out. Now I can quickly access these without opening up the wallet to reveal any cash. Works for me perfectly!

(UPDATED) Good wallet...BUT...

I have enjoyed this wallet - for the most part. It is slim and functional, with a nice worn hue to the leather. Plenty of room for my cards and bills. Here's the issue - I've had the wallet for 9 months, and the pull tab ribbon has torn completely free from the wallet. Without that ribbon, the outside credit card holder is essentially useless. I expected a longer life from this wallet based on normal daily usage. Not sure if I will be ordering a replacement, or trying out a different manufacturer. UPDATE: (Now 5 Stars) Within 2 hours of posting my previous review, the manufacturer reached out to me about my complaint. After sending them a picture of the damage, along with my order number and address - they shipped a new wallet to me, free of charge. I was blown away by this amazing customer service experience. Thanks to everyone at Serman Brands - you've got a customer for life now.

What a score!

a SOLID WIN! My husband has always had major wallet issues. Wallet too small. Wallet too big. This wallet is just right! He loves the size and features! It is also a very nice looking wallet. The brown is beautiful and doesn't look like an old man's wallet. Classy yet hip! And the quality is awesome! If you are looking for a slim wallet with a lot of functionality, buy this NOW!

Better than I expected

Better than I expected. I carry several bills amounting to $100 to $150. Very easy to extract any bill by pulling lightly without disturning others. Much easier than an ordinary billfold. One of my hands is numb with age, and I normally have trouble removing bills from my wallet. Since it is my left hand that has the problem I carry it in the front left side pocket. I no longer have a problem removing my wallet. I found the leather to be high quality. ID is visible without removing the card, and the few other cards I carry are easily removed.

Positive first impression.

Initial impressions. 1. Packaging. The wallet came in a cloth bag in a cardboard, but nice, box. It was a nice touch and did make the wallet feel a little higher class. 2. Inside the cloth bag the wallet was sealed in plastic. Upon opening the scent of leather was released. I enjoyed this little experience and immediately felt this wallet is higher quality than the price would indicate. 3. Plenty of room for my cards and cash. The clip on the inside is a nice touch. This is the 4th wallet I have ever owned (I'm 38) so I suspect I will be able to update this review for a number of years to come.

My favorite wallet ever!

What a cool wallet! It has lots of smart storage, including the pull-tab that displays all of your grouping of credit cards in the side slot. All of the other cards have access slots to easily slide out the card from their sleeve. Those along with the built-in RFID blocking, along with a slim physical design and top-quality leather make this one of the best wallets I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

Thank you for making such a great wallet that is compact, functional and durable. I love the wallet and have been showing all my friends how great it is. Unfortunately my dog loved the wallet as much as I did. See photos of what happened. Given that she's a 80# lab who loves to chew, the wallet held up very well and protected my credit cards and drivers license. Would definitely recommend.
