LOVE this desk! I got it for Christmas for my 2.5 year old, along with the expansion package. Within an hour, he understood how to work it (for the most part...the pages still confused him a bit because he tries to put in two at once). I'm really surprised with how into it he is, considering how much he used to love his tablet. I also like how easy it is for me to play with him on it and he loves learning with me. But he can also work it independently. It's a great toy that can grow with him as he gets older and probably the best $40 I've ever spent on a toy. I'm so impressed by how much it can do for that price. My only slight complaint is that it seems like the button that switches from activity mode to music mode seems to get stuck on music mode at times, but that might just be operator error.

Took a chance on this desk as my son is nonverbal and typically does not play with toys functionally. But he loves, LOVES numbers! So I figured he would play with the numbers on it if nothing else. He LOVES THIS! If it breaks I’m sure I will buy another. It comes with four sheets to play different things. I bought the extra big pack to go with it. He got this in January and he has yet to even need more sheets. So I could’ve done without them. Great toy for all kids!

My daughter (3 years old) absolutely loves this table. Very durable and so many interactive games and activities. I love that the music player has a choice for so many songs as well as full length songs- so often you get stuck with a 15 second clip of song that your kid repeats over and over. We've had the table for about a month now, and still have not even used all of the features! Absolutely great buy for the price!

My son received this as a birthday gift. He had the original Touch and Learn Activity Desk which was one of his favorite toys; however, the new expansion packs only fit this new desk. This desk is even better than the older one! The desk appears to be good quality and durable. It is the perfect size for little ones. Aside from the activity mats, there is a music player, telephone, and display that shows how to write letters, numbers and draw shapes. The desk is very interactive and holds my toddler's attention for very long periods of time. I love that this one has expansion packs because that expands the learning potential. This toy is definitely a great educational toy. It makes learning fun! Highly recommend this!

I bought this for my two-year old granddaughter and we love it! She screamed with excitement while we were pulling it out of the box and assembling it. There are a lot of interesting and entertaining activities with the touch and learn. We also bought the extra pack for two year olds. The sound is very clear and I love how it acknowledges the child when turned on and off. She quickly figured out how to push the buttons so the desk would talk or play music. I am very impressed with the quality of this toy and the price. The interchangeable cards just slip right into the desk, so easy a two year old could do it! Although my "very active outdoorsey" granddaughter did not play long for the first time, I feel she will enjoy it much more in a few months when she is talking better. We look forward to many years of fun, entertainment and learning with the touch and learn.

I've had this for over a year and my son still plays with it. The key is to get the expansion pack to rotate the different activities. My son was a late talker (he's starting to pick it up), but one day he was playing with the desk and it would ask him to pick number x and he chose the number. He was consistently picking the right number. He wasn't talking yet but knew numbers one through nine. I was a little shocked because this was before we had to send him to daycare. Having the extra cards to change out keeps him interested and it helps reinforce what he's learning in school. It's the first thing he plays with when he gets home.

This is a super cute, fun, interactive toy. Bought this for my 2 year old for Christmas and he loves sitting down to work on his "computer". Has a ton of very well-known songs that he can sing with and a lot of different options for play with the different sheets. My 5 year old loves playing on this too. She gets much more interactive with letters and numbers The only thing I would say is a negative about this is the stool is not as sturdy as I would hope. The plastic is just a little cheaper than I would expect from VTech.

It took me less than 5 minutes to put this toy together. It's basically snap-in-place, with the exception of the battery compartment (4xAA's), which screws into place for safety. Two extra two-sided activity cards come with the desk, providing 5 different activities "desktops." These are the topics: 1. Alphabet is the one in the photo and it is non-removable; other cards slide into slot on top of it. 2. Numbers & Counting 3. Body parts (mouth, ear, head, nose, etc.) & clothing types (shoes, socks, watch, glasses) 4. Music Jammer with colorful keyboard and different musical instruments, plus music genres (jazz, hip-hop, rock, pop, R&B) 5. Fruits & Colors Yes, there is an OFF button, Parents - but, unfortunately, it's easy enough for a child to turn it back on. However, there IS also a volume control. There is a clear female voice that gives directions, sings, and in other ways interacts with the child. I bought this toy for my two-year old granddaughter; however, I think it would be suitable for 2-5 years old. There are other activity cards you can purchase separately. The Amazon price was definitely the best price for this toy; Wal-Mart was about $40 more for the same thing! I am an instructional designer for online learning, and I thoroughly approve of this toy; it's impressive!

bought this for my daughter for her 1st birthday. She loves this!!! she started to only use it to play with and hear it sing. Now she points to the things on the table and the inserts and says "this" and we tell her what "this" is. She is now 16 months and we are slowly using it as a teaching tool. She is learning while it is fun for her. I am going to be asking for the additions to it for her birthday and xmas.
